There are lots of people trolling on Marketplace for vehicle sales, saying they will come and pay full price - just need this report and send it to them. Total scam, the report is crap and they disappear. I said to the last person - we'll run the report together once you come and inspect the vehicle - no show of course. Check out their Marketplace history, and tell them to run the report themselves if they are going to pay for it.

I got scammed. I paid the $40 and lost if for good. They wanted me to show them a vin inspection and forced me to use this crap site. Read the reviews before you pay!!!!!!!

Be aware I post to sell a car and this person. Only text and says he has cash and he required to see smarthvinhitory and he want me to pay for that !!!!insiste to send me a link for me to go in!!!! Scam be aware!!!!

"Buyer" wanted a report from this site, wouldn't accept a report from anywhere else, then I said no and he called me cheap 🤣🤣 if he wanted it so bad why not buy it himself? Total scam

SCAM. I was contacted by an "interested buyer" for my used car advertised on Craigslist. He said he would pay cash in full but just needed this specific report. I said he could get it with the VIN provided and he made a long argument for why I should be doing it as the seller. I almost fell for it. It saddens me that people are comfortable being liars and cheats.

SCAM SCAM SCAM do not waste your time. I was selling a car and the "potential buyer" would only accept a report from this website. I received another message from a different number with the same request minutes before for carreportlab.com. These are SCAMMERS no do waste your money!!

Some random person contacts you and ask you to spend $40 on this smartvinhistory. They send a useless report and you never hear from them again.

Smartvinhistory reports are absolutely amazing. I recently used this site for my vehicle and I am amazed after seeing the reports. They are so much usefull.

Same as what other users are saying. Contacted by person posing to be potential buyer requesting this particular report. I actually purchased the report because I thought it was legit and what arrived was just basic info on what the car but no history or real details on the car. When I followed up with the potential buyer I found that his phone number was from out of the country.

Same experience as others. Had a private party contact me about a vehicle I had listed for sale. Buyer insisted that I pull a vehicle report from this website. I told him I would be happy to give him any information necessary to pull the report himself but he wasn’t too receptive to that idea. I decided to pull WHOIS on the domain and it’s only been registered since 2022 and the registrar is overseas.

bad experience. They practically admitted they have people pretending to be potential buyers asking for the report for you to buy it and pay for. its scam company.

Scam to use this service by owner of the website acting they are interested in your car. Not sure if even legit, or they hack your credit card.
