Don't buy Smeg products

I owned a kettle and a toaster. After a couple of years, the paint on the kettle started bubbling up, apart from looking really nasty it was also a health hazzard. So I had to toss it, and buy a new one (different brand though).
Recently the toaster didn't toast anymore. Contacted Smeg. They referred me to a service center, who told me there are no parts available for Smeg products.
In essence: I had to throw out a toaster that's only a few years old. What a complete waste.
Smeg? Are you listening? What a way to *not* be environmentally friendly. I will never buy Smeg products again.

Quality Issues

Love the look of these products but the quality is not what it should be for the price… I’ve had their kettle for less than 2 years and the paint is forming bubbles near the lid and is getting worse with each use. It seems like many other customers are experiencing this issue, I wish I knew about this defect before purchasing!

Purchased a kettle and less than a year…

Purchased a kettle and less than a year later the S from SMEG fell off along with paint. It was replaced but under a year later the handle of the kettle has fallen off - yes unbelievable, this has never happened with cheaper products and one would expect SMEG to be horrified and want the product back to investigate. No they say there is no warranty as it was a replacement and expect me to purchase a new kettle. They are not concerned the handle fell off potentially with serious consequences.

Dreadful Support Partners

SMEG Coffee Drip Filter Machine. Renowned for their design. However, let's remind ourselves, it is plastic !! (1) SMEG's after sales is diabolically bad, especially here in Spain. Their local contact in Ondara and elsewhere around Valencia awful. (2) SMEG could offer the plastic filter mesh on Amazon as an extra.. but they don't. (2) SMEG a design flaw... you need to fit a very small filter at the bottom of the water reservoir. Therefore small items can't make its way into the inside of the water gauge and cannot be removed.

I purchased a smeg S64S hob in Nov…

I purchased a smeg S64S hob in Nov 2020. It was installed by a gas safe engineer and worked ok for about 2 weeks. Since then when i light the burners they refuse to stay lit regardless of how long I hold down the ignition knob. Occasionally a burner will stay lit, but when turned off and relit will not stay lit. I could not recommend this product to anyone.

Overpriced and Does Not Last

Bought a Smeg stainless toaster and kettle. Less than 1 year into low to moderate use of both small appliances respectively, they began to tarnish from the heat. Contacted their customer service and was told that this is not covered under warranty. The warranty states nothing about discoloration. These small appliances are quite pricey and definitely do not stand up to normal use. I would not recommend, Customer service sucks and Lowes Canada said to contact them. Will never buy another overpriced Italian piece of crap.

I am really so frustrated with Smeg…

I am really so frustrated with Smeg company that causes me serious problem. I bought the Refrigerator 50's Style FAB38RCR 2 years ago and it broke down after 2 years and 5 days.

Τhe refrigerator has damaged on 6/5/2020 and causes me problems at home and in my daily life. The product is new and it has only been 5 days since the warranty was missing. The smeg technical support and customer service are poor and they cannot help me.

It is very sad to be happened problems with such a huge company and it is even sadder for such a new (2 years) refrigerator that costs 2000 euros to break down.

I am sorry, but this is unacceptable for me.

Please be careful with smeg products.
