SML Gives inc is a nonprofit organization that supports hunger relief efforts in the community around Smith Mountain Lake. Our focus in Bedford, Franklin, and Pittsylvania Counties is to connect neighbors, businesses, and organizations to fight hunger and provide vital resources to our neighbors experiencing food insecurity. Beginning in the fall of 2021, we began collecting food & funds at Magnum Point Marina, Union Hall. Building in effort and impact, year over year, in 2024 we hosted our inaugural Holiday Benefit and raised over $25,000 in one evening. In 2025, we officially formed SML Gives inc as the region's first nonprofit organization whose mission is to maximize the impact of hunger relief organizations in the area. We will connect businesses, neighbors, and organizations to raise awareness about food insecurity and steward donors to support local area agencies fighting huger.
