The U1 is simply Amazing, I started many years ago with an Ender 3 and it was always a hassle. I loved tinkering and upgrading it, but reliable printing just wasn't easy back in the old days. Having a... See more

Ordering was easy and quick
Ordering was easy and quick. Delivery in 3 days van Germany tot Holland.
No complaints here, but the status of the box was not good, a big hole in the bottum of the box, ik did see the printer trough the hole, on the top was a big dent. (i did think, this printer can not not survive this.)
After unpacking there was no damage on the printer,.
The printer was working perfect after the assembly.
Snapmaker has made a perfect package to avoid dammage in transport..
Snapmaker has made a splash in the 3D…
Snapmaker has made a splash in the 3D printer market, releasing a printer with four independent, multi-material print heads at less than a quarter of the price of a Prusa XL.
With a build volume of 27 cm³, it's a perfect example of engineering and precision. The firmware software, Klipper, is perfectly designed and configured.
From my point of view, multi-printing/multi-material printing is the future, where Prusa was a pioneer, and Snapmaker is a perfectionist with its Snapmaker U1.
Highly recommended.
The firmware needs a little more polishing, and the Orca snapmaker needs to be perfected.
Came very fast and works great.
Everything was well packed! And prints great!
When I received the box, I was a bit worried that something might be broken. There were a few large holes in the box that likely occurred during transport. Fortunately, everything was well packed and nothing was broken. Unpacking went well. There was a lot of tape, though. Take your time to install everything using the manual. The 4 rolls of filament are a nice extra so you can start printing immediately. The prints look good. Snapmaker-Orca takes some getting used to if you are accustomed to BambuStudio and Bambu printers, but that is not a problem.
From unboxing to first print Everything was very clear.
From unboxing to first print, everything was clear in the handbook provided.
Very impressive machine.
Very impressive machine.
However, the app and UI need to be improved
I have bambu studio and H2D as well and they have much better control system.
Snapmaker please work hard to improve your system!
I love my Snapmaker!
I have had a 3D printing business for 4 years and have worked with printers from 4 different companies in that timeframe. I am new to Snapmaker since 2025, and I am very much in love with the printer design of the U1 and the pricepoint. The interface is very similar to Bambulabs, whom used similar build points to Prusa. Snapmaker also is using a version of Orca for slicing software, so I am familiar with it as well. It made the learning curve simple all the way around.
I know from experience that no printer is going to be maintenance free forever. I did have a clog, and that is kind of a chore taking the extruder head apart. But to be frank, it's not any more difficult than the core XY bambu machines.
I wound up buying a second U1 a month ago.
Order Never Arrived
I placed an order for filament, a dryer and dry boxes on March the 27th and it is currently April the 29th and I have received nothing from Snapmaker. I have contacted both the shipper and Snapmaker and have heard nothing.
Snapmaker said that they would resend my order and provide a shipping update, but nada. Order was supposed to have arrived on April the 8th.
As to the below response: i confirmed with Snapmaker my address on the 22nd of April, at which time they stated that a new shipment would immediately be sent out and that I would receive a new transit number shortly… didn’t happen.
Email from April 22nd: “Thank you for confirming. I’ve submitted your reshipment request. The package will be shipped within this week. Once your package is shipped, the tracking number will be sent to you automatically. Tracking info usually updates within 48 hours.”
May 7th - still don’t even have a tracking number - i must assume no replacement package has yet even been sent.

The printer so far has been awesome
The printer so far has been awesome. I only have tried PLA and PETG but no issues. I would like to see some software changes but the performance is great.
I love the Snapmaker U1
I love the Snapmaker U1. From the unboxing to the prints there is nothing but quality. A+++
Great product and experience
The delivery was on time. The set up was straight forward. Most importantly, the printer is amazing. I was on the fence about trying a new-to-market printer, and I am happy to report it does everything I wanted and more. And after half a dozen multi-color prints, I have only a few grams of purge waste, total. If you're looking for a multicolor printer, I recommend the U1.

We even dabbled in TPU printing in the first week we have had it! we love snapmaker and how easy the thing is to calibrate, change heads, and optimize the prints!
