Snowshoe Mtn was a bad experience, avoid.

We had a Rental Unit at Hillcreek Condo. The Unit was not accessible on arrival. We even had an early check in. The Property Manager must have been on heroin like most of the State I saw. Lazy, nodded out, slow, druggy people all over. We had 4 inches of ice with another 3 inches of snow on it. On the stairs to our Unit and the entire deck covered in ice and snow. NOT SAFE. LAZY STAFF. MANAGER IN DOPE. illegals at the desks. Hookers at the truck stop in Beckley should have made us cancel. However we braved it on. My wife and I shoveled snow for 5 hours. We had to clean a dirty unit in order to make it acceptable to us. The dishes were dirty. Fridge shelves broken out. Baseboards dinged up and nasty with dirt. The carpet was crack chic with spots and carpet burns. The blinds did not fit the windows and fell out of the tracks on our feet. Ouch! Our backs hurt from shoveling already. We took numerous trips of a 1/5 mile to and from the Snowshoe Agents. Not one person ever came to fix anything. The TV never worked. The shower was nasty. Low water pressure. The Rental was not worth 300 a night. Fraud is a good word for the place. Liars. Every staff person I met was a liar. Lie to your face with a smile fake blonde, morbidly obese, can’t spell or do math but a Manager who can’t get anything done. She had attitude as well. The Staff is to say yes sir and no sir. And that’s it. We tipped nobody here or in the State. Snowshoe sent 2 inbred classless Staff to shovel the patio the day after we arrived. Poor service was all over. Entitled stuck up small town uneducated trailer living know it alls. Holler people we call them in Kentucky. My wife and I started calling the place the Crap show Corporation. That’s what it was. They insult you and lie to you that it’s a Resort. Church Buses or better Prison Buses are the transportation. I guess those buses make the locals feel at home. Resorts I visit use Mercedes or VanHool Motor Coaches. Snowshoe is cheapo and greedy. We saw tons of people with dogs being walked in Condos we were told by our Booking Agent had no pets. Liars. Our booking Agent Nancy lied to us from the beginning. I guess that’s how they treat people in West Virginia these days. The skiing was average. We went Snow mobiling which was a huge rip off. We had to have a guide and ride under 20 the whole time in the rain no less. We did not ski the Third day and left early. Our dogs were sick of the non pet friendly stairs and lack of area to walk. We drive them to open grass down the road. No snow removal anywhere. Not even salt by the door. Weak. Just weak on the super obese lazy Management and Uneducated Know it All Staff. Even the Ski Patrols were jerks. My wife took a lesson. Her weak weak instructor left before she had learned or perfected her technique. Typical for the place. They treat guests like garbage. They expect us to walk a 1/4 mile in full ski gear with skis and poles to the lifts from Top of the World Lots. INSULTING. You fat lazy jerks are the ones who need exercise.
We left early after they never once contacted us or came to the door in 3 days. We got tired of them on arrival. What kind of place makes a guest shovel snow. Snowshoe Resort. My bill for labor is 5500.00. I sent them an email asking for a full refund. They are greedy and make you wait of course. As far as I’m concerned this place needs to be cancelled. I could have gone out West. We will avoid the East Coast now for good. Too many Frauds. Broke people who live beyond their means leasing and renting their Commie life stacked on top of each other like Lab Rats. That’s so not skiing. The old Snowshoe was pristine. Hot tubs on the slopes. Open Skating Rink slope side. Olympic pool with slope view. The place back then had impeccable service. It was very hard to book a vacation it was that exclusive. It’s a crack house resort now compared to what it was. What a waste of money. What of our time. If Nancy had told us Church Bus rides, shoveling snow for our safety, and parking was ridiculous and stupid - we would not have come. We were lied to by a Company that is a Fraud. Go West. Cancel this place. They deserve it. Go see for yourself.
