absolutely fantastic

absolutely fantastic, we have been having disability adaptive skiing lessons for nearly a year now and never say there is limits, as the instructors who are heavily qualified in adaptive sports are not phased by still working on my youngest to turn when skiing. He is autistic and they have provided a safe, nurturing environment for him to learn, He totally loves it and for my other son who has ads adhd pda, who is smashing it at skiing, we have finally found an activity he enjoys. They have made it affordable and accessible to all. i have not seen another organisation that has gone to their level to provide a sport for all. They are an ambassador of inclusion that only others can aspire to.

SNOWBOARD LEVELS 1&2 - Milton Keynes

Big thanks to the instructors - Nathan and Luka. With their help, I managed to pass not 2 but 4 levels! Extensive knowledge, teaching ability and individual approach to each participant. It was truly a great experience and great fun. Thank you so much and see you soon!

Beginners skiing day course

I recently did the skiing beginner day course at Milton Keynes.
I found the whole experience excellent and very good value for the £99 it cost.
The lady on main reception was very helpful and the coach Camille was a joy to spend the day with. His enthusiasm was infectious and he gave great feedback and made sure that all nine of us in the group were able to advance through the levels 1-4 at a pace that was comfortable for us individually.
Would highly recommend this course if you are a beginner, and lunch is provided too!

Castleford xscspe

Castleford xscspe. Went for the family beginner snowboarding lesson for 90 minutes. I'd gone with my 7 year old, 11 year old and niece. The instructor Josh was excellent and a really good laugh. My kids absolutely loved the experience and can't wait for the next one in 2 weeks 😁

Worst experience ever

We arrived at the venue 30 minutes early. However, we do not reside in Milton Keynes; we came from Oxford, so we are not very familiar with the shopping center. Unfortunately, none of the payment stations at the car park were operational, necessitating payment via phone. We attempted two payment stations, which consumed a significant amount of time, and paying by phone was not a quick process either. As a result, we ended up paying much more than the expected £1.20, as it cost us £4.40. Due to the delays caused by the car park situation, we reached Snozone just 10 minutes prior to our scheduled session.

Upon arrival, we found the check-in area to be exceptionally crowded, with only one staff member on duty. Similarly, the equipment lending area was congested, with just one staff member assisting everyone. There was no organized queue, and people were pushing ahead of us. Both of us separately approached our respective coaches to inform them of our late arrival. However, both coaches displayed a lack of sympathy and were unfriendly. They indicated that we were late, and it felt as though we were not encouraged to join the session a bit later.

Furthermore, the equipment provided to me was faulty, as one of the boot screws was malfunctioning, making it impossible to adjust. Given the high demand and limited assistance available, we became frustrated. As we did not feel welcomed by the coaches and there was only one staff member at the equipment lending area providing assistance, we made the decision to leave. During session changes, when a significant number of people arrive and depart, it is crucial to have more staff members available to assist customers.

We acknowledge that arriving late can be unfair to other trainees and frustrating for coaches. However, sometimes unforeseen circumstances arise that are beyond our control. Although we enrolled in skiing to learn, it should also be an enjoyable experience, not akin to a school environment. It would have been appreciated if the coaches had shown more understanding and suggested that we start and try to catch up quickly.

Snozone Milton Keynes

I had a go at skiing when I was at school and decades later have decided to take it up. Here’s my experience of Snozone so far:

RECEPTION/ SKI HIRE
It’s chaotic and badly managed. Allow at least half an hour or you’ll miss ski lessons!
Ensure you’ve £1 for a locker.

BEGINNER SKI DAY
This course is long and whilst you should be able to snowplough at the end of it, you’ll get tired. Hired ski boots are not the comfiest. Andy was a patient instructor putting the group at ease.

SKI LEVEL 1-2
Massive thanks to Wilf 👍🏼.
I feel like I’ve really accomplished something, turns and control. Using the button lift. This course is exactly what I needed to boost my confidence!

Great place to visit for every skill level.

Have been several times to Yorkshire Snozone for beginner snowboard and skiing lessons and lift pass days. Every visit is a little different in terms of quality of service and availability of equipment. All the staff are friendly, but go on a busy day, you may struggle hiring a snowboard that fits you. We had to rebook a lesson once after turning up on the day for snowboarding, because they had a lot of classes on and ran out of boards. So organisation is an issue. Although new stock arriving late caused it too. Attending lessons towards the end of summer is tricky, as they have to be 50% filled, and two of our lessons had to be rebooked due to low uptake. Every instructor we had, had their own styles of learning, but all were very enthusiastic and patient. I’m 51 and learning to ski for the first time but was never made to feel inadequate. If you are faster at learning than others in the class, you can either keep refining those skills whilst the instructor focuses on the ones that need a bit more support l, or you can start trying the more advanced moves available on the other lessons. The beginner classes are a nice gentle progression starting at the junior slope and moving to the steeper one in lessons 3-4. But you have to possess the skills learned on lessons 5-6 before you can go on the big slope independently as part of the lift pass. Parking is never an issue, the changing rooms are spacious and clean and there’s a viewing window of the slope in the cafe. All in all a great day out and highly recommended. Finally, if your hire boots hurt or are uncomfortable when first fitted ask for another pair. Don’t do what I did and struggle in pain for 3 hours. Another pair would probably fit better.

Amazing and awesome

The staff and facilities at Snozone are amazing. I brought a group of 11-15 years for their end of year school trips. these students had never been skiing or snowboarding and loved it. The students spend the bus trip home talking about how they want to go again. The instructors and staff there treated us all awesomely and really took care of us. Cheers to everyone at Snozone MK. Definitely recommend Snozone to everyone 🤙❄️

Myself

Myself, husband and daughter, ages 11, visited Snozone at Milton Keynes yesterday for sledging and a 90 minute skiing lesson. We did sledging first, which was good fun, but tiring! We did a 30 minute session, which was plenty. Following this we then got kitted up for skiing (boot and ski hire were included). We met our instructor, Dai, who talked through our skiing experience with before going on the slopes. We all had some experience from going on a skiing holiday a few years ago, but just needed to get confidence back. Dai was great, encouraging us and helping us improve our technique with small adjustments. He focussed on helping our daughter to become more confident with her posture and turns and we all came away with a renewed love for skiing! Thank you Dai! The centre itself was great, located within a huge entertainment area, including shops, restaurants, cinema, bowling and the iFly. There were lockers available to rent (need a £1 coin) and changing facilities. Also a cafe available within the viewing area of the ski slopes. It really was a fantastic experience!

Amazing instructor

Had a ski beginner day lesson a couple weeks ago at Milton Keynes. Just wanted to say my instructor Claire was amazing. Made sure we all felt confident on the slope, let everyone learn at their own pace and she took the time to work out how each person best learned. I had previously had 2 other lessons at a different ski centre and still felt really nervous but after my lesson with Claire felt really confident

Health & Safety management issues.

My 12 year old Son visited this venue and left with a huge bump on his forehead. A helmet that somehow cake off and a losse metal pole says this place has some major heath & safety issues. All this and I haven't received any communication from the venue. Over a week later and and the bump is still there. I'm furious and will take things further.

OK experience, better organisation needed

The booking process went smoothly, and the check in to the venue was fine, but the queue for getting the equipment was very long about 20+ mins wait, probably due to lack of staff. The instrctors are very good but our instructor failed to check who he had inhis group and my son ended up in the wrong group, and we were made to feel that it was our fault. It all got sorted out eventually but it was unnecessary stress. The cafe's food is not that great quality, the pizza was very greasy and over priced. The cafe staff vary in quality: some are super efficient, but some are slow and wait times can vary. Overall OK experience but I would think twice before booking again.

Woefully poor customer service

I paid for a six-hour lesson for my son on December 21. The lesson itself was very good, however the instructor ended it after only five hours. I raised this issue in person on the day, and when no one came back to me I emailed again on January 3, and again on January 31, and again on February 10 (when I copied in the MD too). Each time either no one has bothered to reply or the response has just been a holding message, or most recently I was offered a free hour-long lesson, which I turned down because it's a three-hour round trip for us. I guess I should not have been surprised that the MD, like his staff, didn't bother to respond. I was perfectly happy with the original lesson as far as it went but the customer service since has been nothing short of pathetic.
Addition: we have since come to an agreement to suit both parties.
