Never send money to this company. Not only did they steal $300K via Kickstarter, Patrick Malleret had the gaul to attempt to ask for an additional $25 on shipping before disappearing forever! Luck... See more

This company seems to have gone under…
This company seems to have gone under after scamming a lot of backers out of lots of money for a new version of the shoe, the X10. I myself was part of the backers who never got updates after December 2021, or any shoes.
Biggest Fundraising Scam
Hi, I am Kickstarter Backer #1896. Patrick Mallett received over $600,000 from group funding to create the Sockwa x10 shoes shown on his website for delivery in 2021. Now the company is allegedly out of business (November 2022) but still has their website and Facebook pages up. It is now 2023 and no delivery of this shoe. It is on the website as out of stock/coming soon. Totals raised: $296,391 USD on Kickstarter and an additional $319,229 USD on Indiegogo! What a scam to get risk free money and never have to deliver a dime.
I paid but never got anything
I paid - they never delivered. It is a Scam
Another Kickstarter backer here
Another Kickstarter backer here, also not received anything… I’m pretty convinced this is a scam!
Scam
Backed on kickstarter - company completely stopped communicating with backers in Dec of 2021, which is in violation of kickstarter rules. No one has received any rewards after the 300,000+ dollars pledged.

Scam Artist
I, like so many others, backed this company on Kickstarter. It's been more than two years and the owner of this company ceased all communications with his backers months ago after a string of broken promises. It is apparent to me now that what happened was our money was used without any intentions of him following through with rewards. This experience has certainly soured me on backing any further Kickstarter projects. I would warn anyone seeking a barefoot shoe to stay far away from Sockwa. Xero Shoes, which are a similar concept, are awesome and the company has excellent customer service. They deserve your money far more than this scam artist does, with the added benefit of you actually receiving a pair of shoes.
Thieves! Liars!
Patrick (the owner) is a thief! He scammed thousands of us out of money and refuses to respond to emails or phone calls. Do not purchase from this company! I'm sure his other company (Genecos) are scam artists as well.
Scam, scam, and more scam
Company refuses to respond to emails, doesn't fulfill orders, launched a bogus kickstarter.
In addition, the company claims to have started in CA, registered their kickstarter in New York, and now has a contact address in Canada.
Don't support this scammer. They got their money.
No response to several emails
No response to several emails, money paid, no shoes. Do not trust this company, plenty of legitimate barefoot shoe brands out there, pick any one of them!
Don't give them your money
Don't give them your money. You'll never see anything for it. Much better options out there anyway for this type of shoe
I buy but i don t received any shoes
Swindler
Do. Not. Purchase!! This supposed family man did a Kickstarter campaign, took the money and ran. He now sells them online but he abandoned the Kickstarter.
Shame on him!
Scam artist
I pledged money on a Kickstarter for this and it was all empty promises. He basically stole the money and ran. Kickstarter won’t do anything even though he actually started an online store, a clear break of the Kickstarter rules.

These people are thieves.
Multiple crowd-funding campaigns, never delivered a stitch of footwear, but now have opened an online store.
Beware, avoid at all costs.
Scam artists at work.
Absolute thieves
Absolute thieves. They readily take your money but nearly a year and a half later, still no shoes and no possibility of a refund! Don't give your money to these grifters!
Kickstarter scam
Kickstarter scam. Took my and many other people's money, never fulfilled anything. I hope these thieves go out of business.
Don't trust this company or it's CEO
Don't trust this company or it's CEO. He's walked off with over $500K of unfulfilled crowd funding orders including my own. No communication since December and now Kickstarter has deactivated his campaign. Very angry and disappointed.
