Do not purchase this machine
Do not purchase this machine. I had this machine for 24 months and they stopped making the filter. That left me with a non working machine. It's totally unethical. The filters are expensive when they made them, and then on top of that they stop producing the filters. Explain to me how that is right. You sell a machine that requires the filter and then you stop making the filter. Bad, bad, bad
SoClean isn't so clean
I purchased a SoClean 3 CPAP cleaning machine in October 2023. The unit itself has worked well and I haven’t had any issues with performance.
However, I recently ran into a major problem with replacement filters. After using third-party filters successfully for a few months, the machine stopped accepting them. When I attempted to purchase official SoClean 3 replacement filters, I was informed they were discontinued as of October 2025.
I contacted customer service and was told that my only option was to purchase a new SoClean 3+ machine (which is not even currently available) for $649.
This effectively means a product purchased in 2023 is no longer supported just two years later, despite still functioning properly.
I would strongly recommend that potential buyers consider long-term support and availability of replacement parts before purchasing. Maybe they decide to introduce a SoClean 4 in 2028 and they find a way to make the SoClean 3+ obsolete, then you'll be stuck like I am.
Lack of Product Support
Subject: Complaint Regarding Product Support for SoClean 3
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the lack of support for the SoClean 3 that I purchased on April 22, 2024, which was delivered on April 26, 2024.
When my SoClean 2 developed problems after several years of use, I called SoClean (Company) to seek advice as to what remedies were available. I was informed by customer service rep that SoClean 2 was no longer available; then I purchase the SoClean 3 on the advice of the customer service rep. When the SoClean 3 needed a new filter sometime in 2025, I called to see how I could secure the filters because I could not find it anywhere. I was then told that SoClean 3 had been discontinued and therefore the filters were no longer available. I asked what should I do with the equipment without the filters. The rep indicated that the company was in the process of redesigning a new machine and took my information and promised that the company would make arrangements to replace the machine once the new machines were available. The rep further indicated that the new machines would be available in late 2025, or early in 2026. In the interim, the rep sent me a replacement filter.
On January 21, 2026, I called for an update on the redesigned SoClean 3. The rep I spoke with said I should go to their website and pay a deposit of $100, and when the new machine (SoClean+) is available sometime in May or June 2026, I will pay the remaining balance. That was not what I was told when I called in 2025 and my SoClean 3 is still under warranty through April 26, 2026 (according to SoClean Customer Care).
I was hoping that the company would resolve this issue by making good on the promise made in 2025 to replace my SoClean 3 when a new version is out. I purchased the SoClean 3 in good faith and on the advice of their rep. It wouldn’t make sense for me to pay again for a product that was still under warranty, and through no fault of mine was discontinued by their company, and the filters are no longer available.
I am entitled to a working product. The SoClean 3 is useless without the filters. To resolve this, I requested that the company replace the product, give me a full refund, or free filters for as long as my SoClean 3 remains operational. I was basically told by SoClean Customer Care that I was out of luck and the only remedy is for me to pay for the redesigned SoClean+ by making a $100 deposit now on their website, then pay the balance in full when the new SoClean+ is ready in May or June 2026. Now I am left with an equipment I cannot use because the filters are no longer available thereby rendering the equipment useless.
I will NEVER patronize SoClean even if it is the only company that manufactures such equipment.

Just got my SoClean filters
Just got my SoClean filters. As a nightly CPAP user, SoClean is a lifesaver—it makes cleaning simple, safe, and worry-free.
Soclean 3, no longer supported. Why would I continue to support them?
Bought the first Soclean machine, had it for 7 years before needing a replacement. Ordered the Soclean 2 but had issues and finally returned it (after they only offered a replacement - which apparently an open box). Bought the Soclean 3 some time later because I wasn't happy with what was out there at the time (10/21). Got an Zoey ozone cleaner adapter that worked and bypassed the cpap machine, running one part of the water chamber, then the other. A pain, but doable. Called about 6 months ago and was told they'd send me a filter, but to call back when I needed a replacement, and that they would hopefully have a solution then. Now I'm being told since I bought it in 2021 I would need to purchase the Soclean 3+, but that they'd give me a coupon for a discount. Apparently my extended warranty doesn't mean a thing. I had received a notice from my mattress company that the mattress pad I had purchased with the mattress was not approved by the FDA, and that if I followed certain steps they would replace it free of charge, which they did. Apparently Soclean doesn't want to lose out on profits, so they aren't offering anything to take care of the issue for their customers. Well, they just lost one.
They have discontinued the SoClean2 and…
They have discontinued the SoClean2 and SoClean 3 models ANS have stopped supplying the filter cartridges for these machines. Our only option is to buy a SoClean3+ machine, which is not available. Just trying to screw everyone over and make more money. Shame on SoClean.
SoClean discontinued supporting their products prior to their new product being available
We have been using SoClean for several years. We had the SoClean2 for several years and then purchased the SoClean3 a few years ago. It's a great way to save time each day. I tried to order more filters for the machine today, only to find out that they discontinued production of the filters. The machine will stop running if the filter isn't changed and there is no way to override that. And, their new SoClean model-- the SoClean3+ will not be available for several months. When I asked why they discontinued support for their current product prior to having a replacement product, they told me to simply wash the CPAP by hand for the next several months while we wait for the new model. Wow-- just, wow. We have been pleased with this company until now and it's a shame they lost a loyal customer. We'll be moving on to one of their competitors.
No filters, seriously??
My So Clean 3 machine is not completely unusable after spending over $400 on it a couple years ago. Discontinued the filters, really? Absolutely insane!
Constantly fails, no support
Soclean 3 constantly fails thinking the hoe moved. Support is useless. 5 months after I bought this piece of crap they discontinued the filter subscription. Don't trust them, don't buy from them Let's look for a competitor that actually works.
I love how easy it is to use
I love how easy it is to use - no issues with filters/hoses/etc. Only problem was hinge broke on my So Clean 2 so I have to close it by pushing the front in first then pushing down on the back. Hopefully they fix this issue on future production.
The lid hinges on my SoClean 2 have…
The lid hinges on my SoClean 2 have failed again. I called the company and after being forced to give them all of my information before they would help me, the person informed me that there is no lid replacement part available and I would have to buy a new machine. This is classic designed obsolescence. They create a lid with substandard thin plastic hinges, and when they fail, the company gets to sell another very expensive machine. I will seek another cleaning method for my cpap mask, etc.
Ordered a SoClean 3 for my husband's…
Ordered a SoClean 3 for my husband's CPAP machine for Christmas and they refuse to take it back because it's beyond the 30 days. Besides it being past the 30 days (Christmas Gift), Reliable Respiratory told us that the SoClean machine would void the warranty of his CPAP machine, and SoClean offered to send us an attachment for the machine that will not void the warranty. My husband doesn't like the smell that occurs after using SoClean and I told them I prefer to return it. They will not accept a return for a refund. I would avoid buying these SoClean machines at all costs!
I was so excited to get this machine
I was so excited to get this machine. The concept is great and the company is fairly local to me. I was happy to support it and the local jobs. I had trouble, almost immediately, with the power supply. If I unplugged it from the machine and wall and the plugged it back in it would eventually work. After several months of “playing” with it I call the company. It appears it was a known issue with the power supply and they sent me a new one. The new one didn’t work for very long. I’ve called back and they won’t send another power supply, of course they say I can buy one. I can’t believe they don’t stand behind their product. It’s very disappointing! I’ve been using the same CPAP machine this entire time with no issues. They sold me a piece of medical equipment that is faulty I’m very disappointed to see they won’t stand behind their product. I am looking for alternatives and will tell anyone who is interested not to purchase from SoClean.
Bad service and greedy SoClean
I bought SoClean about 2-3 years ago to clean my CPAP machine. I subscribed to their their 6-month-re-supplying service, which included a Filter Cartridge inside SoClean, and a small plastic black tube that connects the water chamber to SoClean. I pay $27.03 bi-annaully. This worked for the old CPAP but now I have a new updated CPAP which doesn't allow that small plastic tube to connect to the water chamber. I can only clean the mask with the white tubing. So, I thought I call soClean and ask them not to send me the plastic little black tube anymore since I do not need it, just the filter cartridge, hoping for a discount. I spoke to a customer service tech, whom I hardly understood because he did not know how to explain things, and he had hard time understanding what I was saying in plain English! It turned out, and after having the guy repeat things 10 times, that for the new CPAP I need an adapter that costs $15 with shipping. However, this adapter only temporarily cleans the water chamber therefore, since they have not figure out how to clean the newest CPAPs. Still, the Filter Cartridge you place inside the soClean machine comes as a package with that little plastic black tube that you don't need. SoClean will not break this package to give you a discount even though you only going to use the filter not the little plastic thing which is useless and you only use it for the trash can! Therefore, you will have to pay $27.03 for the filter (and small plastic tube) and $15 for the adapter! $42.03 for supplies?! That's what I gathered from this customer service person. Is this fair? No, this is called piracy and taking advantage of customers. I stopped the subscription of supplies and might not use the SoClean machine again. Very bad service.

Dangerous machine
Dangerous machine. It seemed ok but after using it a couple years, it could have killed me. The little rubber piece that goes into the CPAP cup does not hold up in the water. It puts black plastic in the water you are breathing. My skin was irritated & shortness of breath but it took me quit a while to realize it was the so clean. 4 weeks After antibiotics and an inhaler I feel better but still coughing. Buyer beware! Update. It's now April 2023 & I am still having breathing issues.

So far I'm giving it 3 stars
So far I'm giving it 3 stars. Haven't used it enough to know if it works but the set up directions, such as they are, are frustrating and next to useless. I finally tossed them aside and hoped for the best. Seems to be working... And yes, you still have to manually clean stuff so it's not the miracle cleaner I was hoping for!

Cost me a new cpap machine
I have had my SoClean 2 for over a year. I purchased it on the recommendation of a local medical devices store where I got my ResMed AirSense 10. My CPAP is now whining loudly sometimes at night, so I discovered an issue after talking with the dealer. She asked if I had a SoClean, and I told her yes, and she said it was the cause of motor seals and bearings failing, due to Ozone, and to get rid of it. She told me that Phillips, another mfg of CPAP machines, was forced to recall their machines because they were failing because of ozone. Interestingly the last time I looked at my water tray I noticed that it had yellowed everywhere it was exposed to the ozone. So now I am out not only the SoClean, but $1000 for a new CPAP. Be warned.
I wish I could give them minus 10…
I wish I could give them minus 10 stars. This is the most unprofessional operation you will ever see. I ordered SoClean 3 version and paid a fortune for it. When it was delivered, it would not work. When I called, I was told I was sent a defective unit and that it would need to be replaced if I could just return it and they will send me a new one. New one arrived. Guess what?? Is suffers from the same defect that cannot be fixed so I have to return that unit and get a new one! What kind of company does that? Why would a company not test a unit before sending it out?? What kind of a company would then a second unit with the same exact defect? I am looking for alternatives now to clean my sleep apnea equipment.
The SoClean company does not care for any negative feedback.
I had been using a SoClean machine with my Philips CPAP machine but recently stopped and called SoClean to return two unopened filters.
The pure focus of this unsatisfactory review, however, has only to do with the company's Customer Service communication following my call to them.
When calling the company, even before speaking with a rep, you are asked if they can contact you AFTER your conversation with a satisfaction survey. I indicated my willingness to receive such a call back.
After a short wait, I was able to speak with a customer service agent and asked about returning 2 unused, unopened filters. While I was unhappy that my request was denied, I nevertheless understood their strict adherence to their company policy. The call was ended.
A minute later my phone rang and the recorded voice from SoClean said this was a follow-up call. However, instead of ANY opportunity to respond to survey questions, the recorded message was a thank-you for contacting SoClean and an abrupt, "Good bye".
This was a crystal clear message that they had absolutely no interest in any likely NEGATIVE feedback.
It is no wonder that the company is not certified by the Better Business Bureau.
