The clinic is extremely professional, from the highly experienced dental surgeons and dental technicians through to the dental nurses and hygienists and also the reception staff.
You are picked up from your hotel before your appointment and dropped back off afterwards.
The communication could be improved, but this is something they’re improving all the time and soon they will be opening a clinic in the UK (Stockport) which will improve aftercare.

Me and my family visited Sofia Implant Centre recently, I cannot recommend them enough !
The service was amazing and communication was very clear, dentists were able to tell me exactly what I need and explained reasoning in detail.
Without doubt the best dental clinic I’ve ever been to.

I can’t recommend Sofia implants enough. I had crowns and extensive dental work done. The Dentists and staff are professional, supportive and friendly.

I carried out my due diligence of all the available clinics that were advertised as "the best" , on arrival at Sophia Dental Implant Centre i went with a preconception of what I needed/wanted doing. However after my xray scan and sitting with Dr Radina Taskova, she put me straight with what was both possible and ethical, basically they won't pull healthy teeth , unlike other establishments in other countries. Once we had completed our very in depth discussion around the possibilities available, I was then booked in for the cleaning and then the first stage of my implant procedure which was carried out by Dr Rosan Sekulov who put me at ease and ensured that I had a running commentary of what he was doing and ensuring that I was comfortable with zero pain . All the appointments were coordinated seamlessly by my treatment consultant Kaloyan Stoev who could not have been any more friendly or helpful.

A very , very good experience from start to finish. I am so happy with my teeth. From the moment Kris contacted me, went through the whole process arranged everything and was there as my contact, I knew this was the specialists to use. The dental team were amazing. Their practice was spotlessly clean and English spoken so no communication problems. Was given a cost, so knew what to expect . Had all upper implants and lower crowns and bridge. Not a nice procedure but no pain at all . Am highly recommending .

Had the first stage of my treatment this week, very impressed, in fact so impressed I told my UK dental practice of 57 years to take me off their books as I now realise how poor they are compared to the Sofia Implant Centre who had to waste time correcting the errors of my now ex dentist. No hesitation in recommending.

I had my 2nd trip to the Sofia Dental Clinic in June of this year. I cannot speak highly enough of the surgeon, dental hygienists and reception staff. I was made aware of how things would go at all times and was well taken care off. From being picked up at the airport by courteous and professional driver,to the care given whilst I was there were 1st class. I am more than happy with my new teeth and shall be returning in the near future to have some more work done. All In all I would recommend anyone with mouth issues to give Kris a call . Amazing service at all the time. I did have full treatment, All in 6 implants fitted in. Later on in time, the permanent teeth fitted in. Great attitude and professionalism from all departments which I have been in touch. Thank you Sofia Implant Centre, you are doing amazing service!

I contacted Kris Aleksandar by WhatsApp at the Sofia Implant Centre in Bulgaria as I was wanting some information on having a full dental mouth restoration for my top and bottom set of teeth. I live in the UK and over the years I have spent tens of thousands of pounds on my teeth trying many different dentists to try and keep them healthy and pain free but to no avail. I couldn’t take anymore years of constant pain after grinding of my teeth in my sleep at night and after many facial breakages of my bone and teeth due to various reasons, I needed to do something about them! I couldn’t function in life like I once could due to my teeth! It seemed to me no matter how much money I was throwing at them, they still weren’t what I wanted. Kris replied immediately to my messages after I asked him for information about various procedures and a rough guide on the costs involved. He answered any questions I had really quickly. He was extremely informative and guaranteed me I could have my dream smile after 5 days and he was right! I’ve got to say I was dubious, but boy was I wrong! I told him I would fly out on a specific date and he helped find my flights, my travel to and from the airport and he even booked my hotel and got me all at the best prices. The hotels he suggested were to accommodate all different budgets but all seemed and were amazing value! I personally chose the closest hotel that was just over the road from the Sofia Implant Centre and was called the Crowne Plaza, a truly stunning 5 star hotel! Kris got me an amazing room at a discounted price which was Ideal for treatments as it is literally just across the road from the Centre. I booked my flight and arrived on a Sunday ready for my treatment Monday morning. From the moment I entered the Sofia Implant Centre I knew this was the right place for me and I had made the right decision. I met Kris and the three ladies on reception who all spoke English which was good because I don’t speak Bulgarian. They were all amazing for my entire treatment, very professional, polite and genuinely very helpful. The first few days of my treatment were having my 3D scans, planning my treatments and being shown around the Implant Centre itself and the procedures and the extremely modern state of the art machinery they use. Everything is done there, from X-rays to scans and even making your crowns or implant teeth. They give you guided tours of their laboratories to show every process from start to finish and show you what they have to offer. Truly spectacular! They were extremely clean inside and from the moment I entered I knew it was a professional dental Implant centre and I was happy with my decision to jump on a plane last minute. I had a team of dentists all looking at my X-rays and 3D scans and they all gave their opinions on what treatment I should need. I had three main dentists who helped me with my journey and luckily all spoke English. They were all truly amazing and very professional, they were all polite and efficient at what they were doing and did. I owe them all for my perfect smile that I had been searching for over the years. They were all informative and I was extremely happy to have had them help me on my journey to my perfect smile. Friday came around and what can I say! Kris didn’t lie, I was leaving with my perfect smile! Although I had an extremely sore and swollen mouth top and bottom, I had achieved a life long dream of mine and this is as all down to them at the Sofia Implant Centre! I was and still am over the moon with the care and support I got throughout! This is something that I will never forget and I truly mean that from the bottom of my heart! I left the Sofia Implant Centre with my perfect smile and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone of my family or friends. I want to say a massive thank you to all of you involved with my treatments and I shall see you all again in 6-9 months for my follow up consultations. If you’re in doubt about jumping on a plane last minute, then please don’t be! They are truly an Inspiration to dentistry and Implants. Thank you all again, I owe you all greatly!

So, this was my second visit for my zirconium teeth after having the implants done last year (June 24).
What can I say? Worked out great for me. Now have my new teeth for a couple of weeks and they feel great. I was really quite happy with the temporary teeth although I didn’t quite like the acrylic feel. These zirconium teeth feel so much better and look really real. (Mine are a bit too perfect looking for my face, in my eyes. In reality people only see good teeth).
Although I had been to the implant centre last year for the implants and temporary teeth I was still really nervous. I was picked up from the airport and taken straight to my appointment. After, they took me to the hotel, Kris booked it for me,
My whole experience was pretty much spot on. Ok, I spent a few days without teeth because they were making my new ones. I didn’t like that but it was only 3 days. I’ve forgotten my dentists name who looked after me but she was fantastic. Excellent English (better than mine and I’m a native speaker).she was so kind and understanding. Her explanation of all the processes and procedures really helped me understand what was happening. I’m 2 weeks in with my new teeth and I love them.

Well what can I say, being fearful of dentists from an early age and having suffered technological disadvantages in dentistry for many years whilst struggling with UK dentists and the associated costs, I finally ended up in Sofia (on holiday), Dental treatment was an after thought but Wow! From initial contact (just before departing UK) to sitting outside a hotel in amazing Sofia, the experience has been absolutely first class, without reservation! This team are professional, efficiently well organised and pleasant to work with. I would have completed a couple of extractions, 6 crown bridge with the necessary preparation of existing teeth and all across 4 appointments in a technical hub minutes from the easy to navigate Sofia Metro, I’ve been able to enjoy Sofia around these, without pain or discomfort. I will unreservedly recommend this team to family and friends to the extent, I will return regularly to catch up with the very relaxed Bulgaria and fit in for any future dental requirements. Thank you team, you really are spot on amazing.

I went to the clinic in february 2025 to get an implant and a bridge and returned in june 2025 to finalize the crown on the implant and receive the permanent bridge .I flew from Holland to Sofia with Wizz air from Eindhoven so the travel with this budget-Airline is cheap(150 euro return ticket) .
Putting the implant into the jawbone was painless and caused no swelling or whatsoever. All appointments that were made were on time .The clinic is very professional in their setup!

All dentists that i saw there were very good and knew what they were doing , they checked every procedure twice and a special compliment has to be made to the girls at the reception . They work very hard, are friendly helpfull and speak english and german fluently! I recommend a payraise for them…..and furthermore there is Sofia itself . What a beautifull city to visit for a week ; i have been to 70 countries but Sofia is in the top 5 off cities I visited !!

Anyway, i fully recommend the clinic !Very professional and a high standard .

A year ago my wife had several implants done at Sofia Implant Centre & has been satisfied.
However within a year a tooth was loose & as we were out in Thailand at the time so we visited a dentist to get things resolved & they informed us there was nothing they could at that time as there was a broken root ? (As per X Ray)

We immediately contacted Sofia Implant centre who had carried out several implants & caps just under a year ago to see if they could throw any light on the matter.
The X Ray from Thailand was sent & my wife’s dental records were checked via records held at Sofia implant centre.
We enquired what could be done.
Kris Aleksander (Dental Consultant) Said we would need to visit the centre & I enquired if one day would be enough but Kris Aleksander said they would need 5 days.
I pointed out clearly that it’s good to know that that all details sent were checked & this issue with the broken root was being carried out under warranty as it was within a year.

All arrangements were made with Kris Aleksander and we were to be met by their organised transport at Sofia airport. ?
Arrived at Sofia Airport to find no transport.
We contacted Kris & were informed it’s on its way.
One & a half hours sitting at the airport waiting for a no show. ?
Contacted Sofia Implant Centre & they told us to get a yellow cab & they will reimburse.
Finally we arrived at Sofia implant centre & within an hour my wife had a 3D scan only to be told it’s not a tooth that is anything to do with them. ?
However the option of having them do a implant was suggested (At our cost & more trips to Sofia Implant Centre)

Now we’re stuck with a week in a hotel/ car parked in UK @ airport parking & off course our flights with the total cost exceeding £700 +

I enquired as to why these details that have suddenly come to light were not pointed out when they checked my wife’s records prior to arranging this futile journey to come to Sofia implant centre ?(At great costs to ourselves for 5 days) We were told they wouldn’t know these details until a 3D scan had been done. ?
Should this have been pointed out to us before this wasted journey or should we have been more vigilant & had a 3D scan carried out in Thailand to send to them.
I personally found this whole scenario hard to believe but I guess they (At Sofia Implant Centre) are the experts.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing & perhaps a 3D scan could have easily been requested by Sofia Implant Centre & we could have easily obtained this for them in Thailand for their reference at a fraction of the cost & time we have now had to endure.

Those of you reading this may well ask how come my wife didn’t know it was a tooth they @ Sofia Implant Centre had done or not.
Believe me when so many implants & caps have been done it’s not easy to know.

That’s why we foolishly thought we would be guided with a correct & definitive answer from the experts at Sofia Implant Centre with my wife’s 3D scan held on their records & the
X Ray from Thailand being sent so they could check all the relevant records.

TO SUMMARISE
There has been a serious failing & Kris-George Aleksander arranged everything as I believe on the strength of the dental team’s findings & clearly informed us all remedial work would be carried out at their expense, However we would be responsible for travel & hotel.
One is to blame (Kris Aleksander or the Dental team) for the communication failure & we are the ones £700 + out of pocket having spent serious money on airport parking/Flights & five days in a hotel doing nothing.

THIS WAS AN EXPENSIVE LESSON FOR US

Very poor service. Do not consider what you want. Believe they have the right to choose over what you actually want then offer an alternative which was £15k. Then had the cheek to say enjoy the sun for 5 days. Stay away from this place

Sofia Implant Centre is the first dental clinic I have visited based on their very good online reviews and I do not regret. What I received is a perfect customer service from the very beginning. The whole process was explained in details, supported me with hotel booking with significant discount, all my appoitment times were confirmed prior to arrive in Sofia and I was picked from the hotel by their own transport every single time. As a Bulgarian living 24 years abroad I was really happy with the whole process and their staff top professionalism - starting with my primary contact Kaloyan, then the girls on the reception and the dentists. I am very happy with the results at the end and I am recommending the clinic to anyone who cares about the quality and not the price only. There are always cheaper options somewhere around the word, but once again I want to say that this is the clinic where I will bring my wife and children when we need dental service again. Good luck to all of the staff as is well deserved.
