SoftGlaze is a small WordPress development studio based in Multan, Pakistan, run by Azhar Ali. It is deliberately small. One developer does the work and stays accountable for it from the first message to launch day, and specialists are brought in by name when a project genuinely needs a designer, a copywriter or a second pair of hands. Clients always know who is doing what before anything starts. Over seven years working under his own name, Azhar has delivered more than 150 projects, including over 60 WordPress builds and more than 20 WooCommerce and Shopify stores, mostly for small and mid sized businesses in the United Kingdom, Europe and Pakistan. Agency years before that added a further 200 projects. The work covers four areas. Custom WordPress development, meaning bespoke themes and plugins written to WordPress coding standards, along with rescues of slow or broken sites and speed optimisation. WooCommerce, covering store builds, checkout and payment work, invoicing, subscriptions and migrations. Shopify, including custom Liquid themes and storefronts built to convert rather than simply to look current. And custom web applications in PHP, Laravel and React, from internal dashboards to client portals, plus Chrome extensions and Electron desktop tools. Monthly maintenance and support retainers are available for anything already built. What makes this studio unusual is that its credentials can be checked rather than merely claimed. Azhar contributes to WordPress core through the Test Team and holds credits on two committed changesets in the WordPress 7.1 release, one in the Filesystem API and one in Login and Registration. That record is public on Trac under the username softglaze. Two plugins are published and maintained in the WordPress.org directory with full source code available to read, and every premium feature in them is free. No locked settings, no dashboard advertising and no upgrade prompts. Every project ends with a full handover. All source code, credentials, repositories and documentation transfer to the client, with no proprietary framework and no lock in. If a project is a poor fit, or cheaper to solve another way, clients are told that before they spend money. Working hours are 6 PM to 10 AM Pakistan time, which covers the full United Kingdom and European working day as well as the American morning.
