Windows 10 Key: works after troubleshooting with support!

After some inquiry with the website (replied quickly; helpful support) I bought keys for Windows 10 Professional. Arrived quickly (literally minutes), they are retail keys for Win 8.1 Pro (which is fine, they should work). However, I can't use it to activate. Turns out there's quite many editions of Windows (even if it says Pro or Home), and once we worked that out, after 6 hours of re-installing with the right image file, the activation was successful.
