Wish I could give zero stars. If you are considering Solar Battery group throw your money away you will get greater satisfaction. My battery failed and reported to Solar Battery group on the 17th of January. I requested a refund which they refuse to do. They scheduled a technician to replace the battery 4x times, and on each occasion never turned up. They agreed to issue $900 compensation due to lost income for me taking time off work for each of these technician dates, however they only actually paid me $300. Finally on the 5th scheduled technician booking (26th of May) they turn up although late, only to bring a refurbished battery not even a new one to replace my faulty battery. The electricians install the refurbished battery only to find it has the same fault as the original one and doesn't work. After sales customer service is non existent, they don't return phone calls, can't transfer you to a manager, don't have direct phone numbers to try and deal with the same person, I have spent in excess of 10hrs on hold. All I want is a refund because Eveready batteries are just as terrible as solar battery group is to deal with. If solar battery group have a shred of dignity and respect for their customers, they can call me back to arrange the refund I have requested multiple times.

We had a really good experience with Solar Battery Group. The sales team were easy to talk to, responsive and kept us informed through the whole quote and pre-install process, which made everything feel simple and straightforward.

On installation day the team were on time, professional and very tidy. They worked efficiently and cleaned up well afterwards. It made the whole experience feel smooth and hassle-free, and we’re really happy with how everything was handled.

The old equipment was removed and disposed of leaving no rubbish.
The new equipment was installed also leaving no waste again.
The whole system is working a treat with no hickups.
Only when there are days of cloud do I use any power off the mains.

The installation team and workmanship was great, and they were more than able to help respond to my questions. The ALPHA ESS product has been functioning as expected with simple mechanism to turn it on and off and really good monitoring app. The team also contacted me for a follow-up which was good customer service.

If you are looking for a solar installer, look no further. Their sales team was transparent and made sure all my questions were answered. On-site, the installation crew went above and beyond by suggesting a better alternate location for the panels to get the best results. Plus, their after-sales support team made setting up the battery monitoring app completely hassle-free. Incredible service from start to finish!

Should have read the reviews first!! Seems the $350 deposit scam is very common! I paid the deposit following a well informed discussion with their agent, about their basic $2680 battery. Well I thought it was well informed. The next day I get a call saying my solar system doesn't meet the required specification for the latest grid connection rules. "Would I like to pay another $11,000 to upgrade my solar system so that it does meet the requirements"!!! My answer - "No thankyou I'll cancel". So 4 weeks later I'm now one of the many others still awaiting a refund. ACCC here I come................................... Before I got ACCC involved, it appears the above post on Trustpilot prompted Solar Battery Group into action. I got a response to my 1 star review, then a phone call, and an emailed receipt for the refund which should be in my account in the next few days....

The team installed my battery system and what I am sure of is that they truly care fir there customers. They work very hard and do a professional job.

Solar Battery Group were only a phone call away if I had any questions regarding our quote and if I could not get through they returned my phone call

The sales team listened to my needs and concerns, I had done some research and know my electricity usage and how much solar I already generated, in winter and summer We discussed what would fit and be best. It was a well informed conversation and I felt heard and ultimately got what I needed to bring my bills down. The day of install was quick, seamless and after the team left, it was like they had never been there. I'm about to move and need a new system and I'll come back to solar battery group for that one.
