Paid for the “Creator” membership this time last year with a promise of great things for 2024. Literally nothing has happened all year - Not a single email or opportunity to pitch. I have requested a refund and cancel my membership.
Went shopping for songs to sing and was mislead because you don't get any backing track. Contacted the owner and explained that I was under the belief that it was like my other,and way better song site(RocketSongs) the owner said no refunds. After I told him the review would be explained in detail. So I asked him for the copy of the licenses for those songs. It took him a few weeks for him to come back and say I had to pay even more to get license and extra for backing tracks. What did I pay for I said? He said to sing it. I'm guessing in the shower🤔 he then said he would do a parcel refund as it has been over two years ago since my purchase I was ok with that. He still hasn't given me squat. This is a bs scam and don't fall for it. Quite frankly I really hope that some lawsuits run him out of business. I'm out around $300 you fraud!!!

Hi Josh, I'm sorry your assumptions of how the site works didn't meet your expectations. As I explained in detail, you paid for a mechanical license of the composition & melody to record and release the songs in your own style. Our 'How it Works' page makes it clear that you do not get to use the music of the song recordings on the site. We offered you the chance to license the master recordings, and you declined. The reason we do not issue refunds for song licenses is because that money is paid to the writers when you purchase a license to their songs. You are still getting your partial refund as promised. Again, I'm sorry the site didn't meet your expectations and wish you the best with your music!

I'm going to just dive in and get to the nitty of the system. SongShop is a platform for artists and songwriters to come up with, share, and discover content. I was with a band some years back and we had a few songs that we put out, had some success, things faded, we moved on. Since then we have uploaded our songs to SongShop and several artists have licensed our music for release, I'm not even involved with the band and I'm still making income from the songs! What SongShop does is bridge that ever difficult gap that for so many years was the main road block for an artist. You're a singer looking to release material but you can't write a song that's exactly right. Boom, SongShop. Look around and fund your perfect song, license it, record it, release it, you benefit from having the perfect song out to the public, the artist benefits off the royalties. It's a win win for everyone and a great way to take your craft to the next level.
