We have previously purchased Sorel womens walking boots and had no issues.

Purchased Mens Sorel boots, loved the look of them, went out for a walk and within half a mile they were cutting into my foot.

We walk around 10 - 12 miles across both countryside and road, these boots are not in anyway designed as walking books.

Returned the items, after calling and advisor stating they were not fit for purpose.

5 weeks later and still no refund, calling Sorel you are told to wait for email updates.

I purchased through PayPal so will be able to raise a refund through supplier failure.

I would not recommend this company, it's disgraceful that they are part of the Colombia group, a company that historically made fantastic outdoor wear.

If you are an avid walker, runner, into outdoor activities, this brand is not for you.

Have a pair of cracking Sorel Waterproof Boots. I hadn't used them in two years - they were fine when I took them out of the box and put them on. When I came back in from shoveling snow (about 20 minutes), I took them off and saw that they had cracked all over and some of the rubber fell even had fallen off (I can't find all of the pieces since they are buried in the snow outside). My wife has two pair (both are older since they both say they were made in Canada - mine says Vietnan and according to customer service at Sorel, when Columbia bought Sorel approx. 20 years ago, they stopped making their boots in Canada. My wife's boots are perfectly fine and both still look brand new. Sad that when a company buys another company, quality goes downhill. They are not covered by warranty and now I have to use flex seal or something to do my best to fix them. I'm starting a woodworking / furniture restoration channel on YouTube....I might have to start with seeing if I can repair my Sorel boots especially since I have seen that other people have had the same complaint. I wish I could add photos....they are pretty bad.

I returned some boots over 4 weeks ago with the intention of a refund and was only told that the box was received empty how can they be sure it was my order - I try calling customer service and get very bad service, someone needs to contact me and explain when I will receive my refund.

I have been buying outdoor boots from this brand for several years now and have always been so happy with the quality, boots always comfortable, sturdy, lightweight and either highly water resistant or waterproof. Extremely disappointed recently to have bought a pair of women's Out N About IV Classic waterproof boots and not only are they not waterproof (despite this being included in the product name and embossed on the least waterproof part of the boot) but they are heavy, clunky and very uncomfortable. After an hour or so of walking in these boots on normal terrain (footpaths etc) I have to take them off despite having gone up as half size to my actual shoe size (I have always done this with boots from this brand to allow for thick socks. The returns process for faulty goods is not in favour of the customer either as I have to return the boots for an 'investigation' before I might or might not get a refund.
I had always looked forward to my new sorel boots in the past but this disappointment will prevent me from buying in the future. The quality is not what I would expect from this brand and to falsely advertise the boots are waterproof has just put me off for buying from this brand again. A huge shame.

Their shoe sizing makes no sense. And if you want an exchange you have to pay return shipping and also print the packing slip and shipping label yourself. This company needs to move beyond the stone age. Do not buy from them.

I have been chasing for a refund for 4 months now. My package was never delivered to my address as it was delivered so late due to Black Friday backlogs. Instead, it was delivered to a UPS collection point. I was advised by Sorel that the package had been collected and returned to Sorel, but they were having issues tracing it. After weeks of chasing, I went to the collection point myself, and the package was still there. Complete dishonesty from Sorel regarding the whereabouts of the package. I returned the package to Sorel myself using a prepaid label, but have now been advised that the return address is an ‘intermediary’ location and the package must be shipped onwards to France before I can receive my refund…will they get there? Maybe by 2030. Avoid this company, it becomes a part time job trying to process a refund.

Still waiting for my refund , dreadful customer service. 3 packages returned but only 2 refunded ! I can see the tracking so absolutely no reason why I haven’t received the money . Returned on 23 October . It’s a shame as I love the boots & previously bought some sandals. NEVER AGAIN

Sorel boots give me good fit, durability and traction. The balance of real function and weight of construction strikes in a good place. The company's aesthetic keeps more simplicity than many makers. The blend of traditional elements and pioneering style create authentic character signature that suits an array of successful outlooks. Have never had an order go missing and interactions with the company directly have gone well. My most recent order resulted from a search for a specific combination of footwear attributes, and Sorel's offering matched up best to the criteria. It is worth being aware of changes the brand has gone through from beginnings in Canada and specializing in rubber qualities, to ownership by Columbia, manufacture in Vietnam & China with headquarters in Portland, Oregon in the US. Sorel has diversified products a lot under Columbia and some selections are very different brand terrain than the heritage occupied. I avoid some branches of the newer tree, and this may account for a substantial amount of my ongoing satisfaction.

When I tell you this company is TRASH! Do yourself a huge favor and never place an order with them as you won't receive your package! Then they'll lie and say the package was delivered. I've been battling with this company for a month now and still no resolution. When I called them initially, the dummy kept asking if I was sure the package wasn't in my mailbox. First off, how can a pair of thick a** boots fit in a mailbox?! After that, they began an "investigation" and said "oh our records show that it was delivered" but we can accommodate you with a refund AFTER you place another order. At this point it's clear to me they think I'm a complete idiot. Who in their right mind would make another purchase after not receiving the first package?! Again! Don't even think about ordering anything from them!
