Terrible service, first move was to try to install an inferior fence to the one we ordered, second was to do a terrible job and have the metal spindles sometimes buried in the sod or millimeters away from concrete pours so no easy way to clear the potentially wet debris which can cause rusting. Missing a few top caps/plugs and will not answer my calls to fix it. Sorry I paid before a better inspection.

I hired this company during the first week of July with a promise that I would have the work completed within two weeks. This was not true. Every week they would reschedule the date to the following week. They finally came a month later and did a horrendous job. They charged me 50 % up front and before finishing the job, they were pressing with emails about how they were done and that they would charge my card for the final payment. I had already explained to the workers that the work was sub par and they needed to fix quite a few woods pieces that were installed already damaged. They didn't listen so I called my bank and asked them to freeze any payments to the company. The bank agreed and thats what they did. However, the bank didn’t realize that they would try and run the charge under a different company name, a trophy company, but the bank realized that the charge was awkward and declined it. Because of my complaints about the quality of the workmanship and supplies used, the owner came out to talk to me and realized that indeed the job had not been completed. However, he gave me a hard time about replacing the warped wood pieces. He stated that the company buys as is and that when they buy, they calculate 10% loss of possible materials and they pass the cost down to customers. WHAT?????? I understand the 10% loss and a possible up charge on the price of a job, but they still used damaged materials to do the work and still charged me an up charge. The company does lousy business and lousy work. I would give them no stars if I could. I was wholeheartedly disappointed that I didn’t check their reviews prior to hiring them.

look at the gates , unprofessional, and just flat out disappointed, do not use this company , the water line was cut to the house they didn't tell us, gates are crap and no wire on the fence , that was on the contract, they do NOT care about you , and the owner owns a pool company good Lord I can only imagine what these people go through...

Everything they did for me was fantastic. The fence looks great and Bill was excellent throughout the process. My neighbor recommended them to me and I was not disappointed

I have yet to get my fence. It was suppose to be installed today. We have had rains lately and having been in business myself I understand things can call fir delays. However when no one shows up and no one calls to let you know I find to be very unprofessional. Not dependable would be the label I would give this company.

finish the job. while putting in my fence they destroyed some sprinkler heads, wouldn't come back to fix them. I have numerous boards that are warping and some coming lose. They never installed latches on my gates. won't respond to calls, very unhappy with them.

Southland responded quickly to my project needs and Buck produced a detailed estimate that was right on target. The crew was professional and completed the project in five days. Excellent work! Southland responded quickly to my project which is very unusual in the metro Houston area. Great service. I would recommend them to anyone interested in a responsive, professional and cost effective contractor.

We had our fence replaced, and the project was done quick and on time. A few weeks latter we had some issues with bowing boards, no questions asked they came out and replaced them. Great customer service and I would recommend to anyone who needs to have a fence replaced.

Had fence work done as a result of tornado damage. Scheduling was inaccurate and a communication problem within Southland about the availability of the finished product. Unable to get the same color brown that they did for me in the past so I have part of my fence one color and the other black. The gate now drags at the top with the two wings that it didn't before the repair. The quality of the materials and paint on the fence is excellent as before. The installation crew were cooperative and were trying to do a good job. It is difficult to work with the overall company and I am not sure that I would use them again or recommend them to others.

Let me first start by saying I love my fence/gate. However it was not without some friction. I ordered a fence with a gate to run down my breezeway from my back door to my garage. I was given an installation date and the day before this date I was called to have it rescheduled. When the 2nd installation date arrived (took a vacation day) I had to call that morning to see what time they would be out. Only to be told that they did not have my product and it had not yet even shipped from manufacturing. Had to explain to them that was putting me in a real big jam since I foster dogs and had just committed to taking 2 since I assumed I would have my fence up. After talking to Oscar he made arrangements to have a temporary fence up the next day. Since this was only temporary with no gate I had no access to my back door but was able to get my pups. My fence/gate arrived the next following week. On the day of installation I got an early morning call saying they were on the way. I was unable to stay home that day so my husband stayed. When I got home that evening the fence/gate was installed however it was the wrong fence! I had ordered the extended bottom since I did not want my puppies getting their collar hung on the spikes it was not. Even after all that I would like to say that Oscar the gentleman I was dealing with was great and very helpful with the situation. The young men that came out for the temporary and final fence installation were very professional and did a excellent job with the installation. And because of the outstanding job the extended bottom was not a real big issue after all. Because of the above I can't give a 5 star but I do love my fence/gate and wish I had gotten it a lot sooner.

You couldn't ask for a better fence company than Southland. We've used Southland for several large jobs and Mike and his crew are great. They show up when they say they are going to show up. The crews work very hard and the quality of work is great. Mike is a very reasonable and honest person to work with. If and when there is something wrong he is always right there to correct it. If you choose Southland, you won't be disappointed.
