Thyme at South Worden forms part of a substantial, thatched Devon Longhouse, most of which dates back to around 1600. The property is surrounded by countryside, with no near neighbours, noise or light pollution and an abundance of wildlife. Thyme has been fully modernised, thoughtfully designed and is appointed to a high standard with a super king-size bed, comfortable furniture, beautiful gardens, and a private hot tub. This peaceful sanctuary will doubtless leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed. Set in the heart of the Devon countryside with far reaching countryside views and beautiful walks along the surrounding quiet lanes. South Worden is 15 miles from the Cornish coastal town of Bude and just 10 miles from Clovelly.

Idyllic
Idyllic, is the best description for this picturesque cottage in the country. Beautiful thatched 400 year old property with thick stone walls and beams but with a new interior top to bottom. Everything is pristine and well thought out. The hosts really have thought of everything.
The vaulted ceilinged bedroom has double doors out onto a balcony which is perfect for relaxing and taking in the views with your morning coffee. Super comfy beds with good quality bedding and bamboo mattress toppers. We stayed on one of the hottest weekends and we didn’t need to turn on the fans provided as the cottage stays incredibly cool. The real treat here is your own little courtyard with table and chairs, barbecue and hot tub!! It is so magical at night with the ambient lighting dotted all around.
The great thing about South Worden is the location. You have peace and quiet in abundance (we saw only two cars pass by the whole weekend!) You are off the beaten track just enough to not be bothered by anyone, but just minutes away from great beaches, riverside cafes, artisan crafts and gift shops and restaurants.
We had a great time and will definitely be visiting here again, very soon.

Amazing location and even better hosts
Amazing location and perfect for a peaceful getaway. The property is nicely secluded, with charming character and no noise or light pollution. Which makes for really relaxing evening in the hot tub looking up at the stars.
An easy 15-20 min drive to some of the best sandy surfing beach’s this country has to offer. The owners are very accommodating and thoughtful and go above and beyond to ensure you have a well deserved staycation.
Would highly recommend to any friends and family to come and give this lovely property a try for their next holiday and we will definitely be back again as soon as we can.

Beautiful place so quiet and relaxing
Beautiful place so quiet and relaxing. Lovely views. No noise or light polution. The hosts are very friendly and want you to enjoy your visit with them.
The accomodation is very well presented with a lovely bathroom kitchen and sitting room. The bedroom has a beautiful balcony that you can sit out on for a relaxing coffee or breakfast.
If relaxing in a hot tub is your wish then this place has one too. You can relax watch the birds of which there are lots of in this quiet place, or watch the stars.
Highly recommend this beautiful holiday let and will definetley visit again.
