yo when im on sparx reader it does not feel like normal reading it feels like you are being tested 24/7 and the points system is lowkey stressful for no reason and it also makes reading feel like a chore instead of something chill like bro i just want to read but why does it feel like im in a exam?? 💀

This website is honestly disgusting I would rather go to a mysterious island of the Caribbean than do my sparx. It gives me books for five year olds. I mean what kind of book is ‘chinglish’ it is the most racist thing ever. Being from a minority (ginger) myself I am frankly appalled that it is so awful. Fight back whilst you still can.

worst app ever theres way too many questions and anything sparx is awful. i wish i could rate it 0 stars

absolutely awful i don’t know why my school does it makes the kids mental health the worse and it’s so stressful schools should avoid this

This website is just horrible, the questions are too difficult and make you restart even if you get one wrong. Additionally it also gives out points painfully slowly. Makes reading feel like a chore and not something that is done for pleasure

We used to have bedrock learning and I performed really well on that now as we've got this sparks reader I absolutely hate homework some of these words are so hard not even my parents know absolutely hate this app can I have bedrock learning back

sparx reader is pure crap it takes like 2 hours to get the required points and you get bad on your report card if you dont do it not only that but these books are apparently year 3 books thats not true at all the poor selection of books is appauling

Yeah, it is pretty bad.

Sparx reader is set up terribly. You can’t choose what book you want to read so it means you have to read and you don’t even get to choose what which makes it’s crap and unenjoyable . I read a section for 10 minutes and get 25 Srp and my weekly task is 1000. So I have to do 400 minutes a week that’s torture. Don’t get Sparx it creates depression and stress and all dat bad stuff.

TS is the most buns awful and crappy thing i have been forced to do takes forever awards basically nothing and just basically sucks

Read for a whole hour and barely completed 60% of my homework. It gives you maximum 20SRP for every chapter and I have to get 300.

Absolutely demanding, frustrating work that never actually helps you with comprehension. It makes you want to QUIT reading and HATE reading. Sparx Reader makes reading and comprehension even more boring and demanding, to the point where you would just want to get a physical book and answer comprehension questions on paper. It is a waste of time and effort, and in my opinion, Sparx Reader is nothing short of the worst education platform that I have ever used.

All based on user experience. Fail a checkpoint once, your next checkpoint will have HALF or even QUARTER of the amount of SRP for what you should've gotten, regardless of time and length. At this point, I just don't want to use Sparx Reader anymore, but it FORCES you to do it.

It’s so bad I click only romance for my book preferences and it give me no romance books

The most fustrating site I have come across in my life. It's awful. You only get 10 SRP per paragraph and you have to answer every single question right to get it done in the time it suggests: 30 minutes. Like, it's put me off reading so much, I would just rather take the detetion. That would be 100 times better than just staring at a screen all day reading trash books on this site. If you read to quickly, it just takes a single wrong answer before it makes you READ THE WHOLE TEXT AGAIN. This is DEHUMUMISATION DISGUISED AS EDUCATION. Avoid at all costs. Listen, Sparx don't listen to anything I say they have just ignored it. Fellow students, I hear you, your not alone dealing with this torture.

This is honestly the worst homework I have ever seen. They say it takes 30 mins. It takes 2-3 hours of my day. This appalling

Its very frustrating how u have to do 400 SRP but i feel bad for ppl who have to do 600 because at the point i would take the DT instead of doing it mine used to be 300 but they upgraded to 400 because it was "good for learining" which in reality it stresses ppl out on how much home work they have to do so please make it all around the uk 200 SRP points for every school or at this point just remove it

this app gave me ptsd to books it felt like a warzone logging in to read some unheard of book that could have been writen by a 5 year old. i just want to read my own books like add some books people want like vagabound

So my school does spark reader and we have to do 30 minutes of reading or get the 300 SRP so I think it would be helpful for your sparx homework to tell you how long you've read for.
