So many useless things in the homework, so mark scheme so strict, also the guide is so bad when you keep getting a question wrong, there is no further help rather than a stupid sheet.

Why did my school switch from Dr frost to sparx maths..

Just because you can doesn’t mean you should.

I was happy with Dr Frost, although we switched to MyMaths at the start of this year, MyMaths was fine too.

When I heard the school was changing to Sparx, I was horrified. My cousin and a friend of mine uses Sparx and finds it awful.

The reviews don’t lie. Maybe I should show the school the trustpilot reviews.

one of the questions says hydrogens boiling point is below absolute 0 which is awfull. please don't teach me wrong. there must be more questions which I haven't reasiled were wrong. PLEASE DONT MAKE ME FAIL MY EXAMS!!!

i hate sparx maths and the other ones and i think parents and children need to protest against homework because it damages their mental health and its pointless. not talking about school ,how its a place that completely damages your child's mental health and makes them follow commands like circus rats . You know they say that schools systems are like slavery because if you do one thing wrong you will get punished like a slave with a detention or worse. And also did you ever see a teacher on a expensive car? no you didn't because your teachers are all ready controlled by the system and they already work for someone like school suspected they will.

This is the worst homework I have ever experienced. As a student in year 10 with pretty good mental health it is absolutely awful don't recommend

sparx science. how many painful, useless hours have i spent on this useless website. i just don't get it. i literally put in the correct answer and it was wrong. i googled the answer to make sure it was right, and guess what. it still said it was wrong. whoever owns this website, please just make it better. just make it so that you can get questions wrong, instead of having to do hem again and again. now, i dread Sunday mornings, when i have to do sparx science. i hate this website, and so does my entire family, thanks to me having to spend AT LEAST 3 HOURS EVERY WEEK just to not get a detention. also, this week it gave me 93 QUESTIONS. 93. this in unacceptable.

please figure out how to design your website correctly I don't think your pea brained algorithm knows what a synonym is please I am going insane...

Sparx is horrible. This is coming from someone who actualy likes to learn. The AI is ridiculous. It doesn't even know half of the answers. It is PURE TORTURE. DO NOT USE CRAPPY SPARX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why are schools using Sparx Maths when even Sparx maths don’t have the correct answer.
This is just ridiculous that children are learning this way. It’s not interactive and clearly the people who have built this is not good at maths themselves if they can’t get the answers correct!

Hello, I am a student that goes to a school that implements sparx as a homework activity. Now I have made a review on my other account but this whole situation has gone viral on the internet and I feel like people need to talk about it even more. Now what is sparx? Most people already know about it so it won’t be too unheard about but sparx is a learning site that varies across different subject. These 3 being: maths,English and science. Each subject has its own way of teaching you that specific subject. Now for sparx maths they add little videos that claim to:”help students” which is just not the case. They also have a really horrible system where if you get a question right they will in turn, give you harder questions. Now the problem is that you have to complete ALL of the questions to finish the homework which just ends up with kids having GCSE level questions in year 7. The worst part is teachers can’t even control what difficulty it is set at which,knowing the teachers nowadays they probably won’t even change it even if they got the chance to. That is only how sparx maths works and I’m not willing to go into detail about sparx science and English since this review is long enough already. Now my second problem with this terrible platform is that a school in the UK had their safeguarding lead bring in a child to talk out about a review they made on this same platform exactly like this. So if this review goes missing you know why. Quite frankly this is revoking people’s freedom of speech which IS and SHOULD be treated like a criminal offence.
Like I said at the beginning this whole situation is going popular on platforms like Reddit and in groupchats across the country. Now there isn’t much people can do to help other than to write a review yourself which won’t go a big way. However there is a petition out there to help remove sparx. 10000 signatures are necessary to take legal action but at the time of writing this it sits at a crazy number of 9700 which just goes to show how many people are truly against this disgusting company. If you wanna sign it yourself go to: change.org and search up: “end sparx maths for good.” I have signed the petition myself. Now I could keep writing on for days about sparx and its flaws but if you wanna see my reasoning behind all of this just look at other 1 star reviews on here. I am only here to spread the word. thank you.

this and the other sparx websites have become the bane of my life, to the point where i will do all of my other sparx homework apart from this as the questions are long winded, horribly structured and make my brain have a meltdown by trying to read them. i’m not dyslexic and i can read at an age much higher than i am currently, but reading this is trying like trying to read harry potter in ancient greek when your first language is russian. and when you don’t get a question right? it shows you ‘support’, and instead of helping you, it gives you a series of questions longer than what the question was in the first place, worded in the tone of a disappointed teacher who didn’t is screaming at you for not knowing the formula of a black hole. (idk if this even exists i don’t do physics). this website cannot teach, it goes over things that are really easy but are worded in ways that makes your brain do backflips to trip you up. this is my personal hell.

This is the absolute worst I answer a question right and it says it's wrong miss click? Now you have to do something either completely unrelated to the question or something you already know and I keep getting detention because it's saying I have only done 30% even though I finished all the questions 0/10 absolutely sick of using this terrible site
