- The Spencer Private Hospitals in Canterbury is located within the Emergency Care facility at Kent & Canterbury Hospital (KCH), with the entrance located immediately left of the Minor Injuries unit with an intercom to gain access. In November 2019 we opened our new location at the Kent & Canterbury Hospital (KCH), following our successful registration with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This expansion comes as a result of increased demand as well as an identified need to make our services easily accessible to all. The new outpatient facility offers private consultations in Orthopaedics, Urology, Gynaecology, Rheumatology, HCOOP, General Surgery and Healthscreening.

Nursing and Drs caring, but process could be better
Nursing and Drs caring, informative and helpful. Directions to actual Rotunda building very poor - sign inside building not helpful if you're not aware. Felt like factory process on arruval. Small individual rooms, very hot and uncomfortable. Long time waiting after initial check in. Would be helpful if customers were kept up todate wirh wait times. Once Dr and anesthetic team came process was very quick. So much so, that once on recovery nurses needed the bed for next patient. Nursing staff were extremely rushed of their feet.

Usually I give Spencer Hospital a 5 star but my recent experience was disappointing. I had a phone call to give me an earlier anaesthetist appointment to the one booked for October only to receive another call some 10 minutes later to say it was cancelled as already given to someone else. Maybe a lack of communication somewhere in admin!!! I was elated one minute and then totally deflated.
