Non-existent customer service

While I got my order just fine, when I ran into issues with my product, I discovered that their customer service is non-existent. When contacting their customer service I was told through an automated reply that I should expect about 3 business days for a reply. One month went by, so I wrote for an update, that update request was three weeks ago, and I have heard nothing from them. I am still awaiting a reply.

Not sure what is going on but after 8…

Latest edit a few weeks later the experience:
Clearly scammers, not sorted out anything and not even responded to their scam support center for weeks.

Not sure what is going on but after 8 days of waiting I am only with some weird tracking link which does not even change to "in-transit" at all for the last 4
days still the status is we "got your parcel"

Splitkb is not responding to my mails too.

Things are looking like I got scammed. I wanted refund at least but no answer to that even.

Absolute silence.

I deeply regret making an order from splitkb even though they seem to have a solid online presence with many positive reviews my experience with them was just waste of time.

I hope its just some operational failure and I can get my money back from them.

Almost perfect

I have not tried the Halcyon Cirque Touchpad Module yet. Everything else works fine.

The only small complaint is that the switches pop out relatively easy. With new keycaps sometimes instead of the cap, the whole switch is pulled. Not big problem anyway.

Thank you for the feedback! The switches shouldn't pop out during normal use, but when changing the keycaps, they do indeed not always stay put. It's a bit annoying, but I'm afraid it can't be helped.

Ordering experience

This was my first order in splitkb and my first split keyboard project. I have two bad experiance with splitkb. First, there was no response to messages or emails. I've event try to ask by direct message in discord. Question was regarding status of order because there where no input or response for multiple days (even two weeks).
Second disappointing is that I've (by my mistake) ordered hotswap socket for MX instead of Choc. I didn't noticed that in web page for kailh hotswap sockets there is different options and default was for MX sockets. In the same order I've ordered components for choc keyboard (switches, keycaps) so I think that you guys could check with me is that a mistake (it is very evident one).

Checking all orders is definitely a good idea! We do at times catch mistakes, but for the most part we recommend people to rely on the Composer. When buying separate parts, it can be harder to check orders, as people do purchase both MX and Choc parts in the same order from time to time. I'll see if I can think of something to help people check their cart ahead of time, perhaps it can be automated.
