Exceptional service and products

I called twice and spoke with 2 different customer service reps, and both went above and beyond to answer questions, provide solutions, offer discounts and even upgraded shipping due to the urgent nature of our need. They know dogs, they are experts at understanding the reasons behind needing collars or containment and they show it. I would truly work for that company if they had an office on the east coast!

The products are costly and don't work…

The products are costly and don't work properly. It worked for 1 year, and then the controller wasn't chargeable. The collar was registered with a warranty, but didn't get any support. Is it too expensive for one year?
They're not providing support in other countries and selling them there.

I wrote a review not long ago and I now…

I wrote a review not long ago and I now need to update it. At the time of my last review (I gave 3 stars) I had not received communication back from emails I had sent. I have now got to the bottom of why I did not get a response back - and I doubled checked what they said and they were right. Basically I was replying back to an email sent from sports dog/pet safe and what was happening was the email was being changed as I sent it to something with 'sharp' in the address, which meant they never got to see it as it never reached them. Luckily I persevered and used another email address and it got to them. They then rang me and talked me through the problem and resolved it. So now, even though I thought this collar did not have a vibrate function on it, it does!!!! It has different modes to which you need to press a button on the back whilst having the button on the front on the mode number you want it to be set on. Reading the instructions was complex however talking to someone made it easy to resolve!

Customer Service Great. Replacement Collar Not as good

Well my review is two tier. Customer Service I cannot fault. They were so helpful. My collar was under warranty. It took quite a while to get problem resolved as such but that was through no fault of customer service. However it does lead to a BUT! The replacement collar is not the same as my old one and it no longer has the vibrate (which was a brilliant function to have) with this new collar it looses charge much quicker. I use it twice daily for 2.5 hours total and I would say it lasts about 10 days. I have lost confidence in using it as the button on the side should just make a beep beep sound but sometimes when I have pressed it he has screamed. I know that their is a multitude of set up for this as I read the instructions to try and get to the bottom of why I now seem to shock my dog when I do not want to. The reason I have not emailed back is because I feel so guilty as CS were so good I feel I am being selfish but all I really would like is the identical collar again as I knew if the beep was ignored I then had the vibrate. Rarely did I need to shock. But now I do not have much choice if he ignores the beep. I always sung Sportsdogs praises but if they have completely done with the vibrate I do not think I could fully endorse it anymore. With a sad heart.

Don’t Expect them to do More than Push a Computer Key

I have spent well over several thousand dollars with this company over the years buying new and different types of training collars. Up until today I have never asked for support, I have always repaired them on my own. Today I asked if they could send me with two very small screw that hold the battery door closed. He said he could sell me an entire repair kit but not just the screws. Then he corrected himself saying they no longer carried the repair kit. I then asked if he ask the repair technicians if they could find two small screws that I could use since he had told me earlier that the size screws have not changed. He told me he could not sell me two tiny screws because he didn’t have them in the “system on his computer”. I find it outrageous after all the money I have spent with this company and the repairs I took care of on my own, that he couldn’t contact repair and ask if they could give me (or sell me!) two tiny screws for my dog collar.

Beware this company is all about selling you new gear at the push of a computer key, but don’t expect then to do anything more than raise a finger to help their customers, even long established customers.

There are many companies that sell training collars, I have no doubt there will be a company who better appreciates my patronage.

Don't give your money to these clowns

This product i bought is Bogus, we receved it without the vibration function and an american plug not EU plug.
The vibration function was the whole reason for buying it.
Worse still, if i send it back they only refund 15 Dollars for the transport costs.
I live in EU so that would cost me about 50 Dollars to send it back.
This is BULLSH*T, Thanks for not giving a DAMN about your customers!!!
