No regard for the Consumers Act
The one star is for customer services replying to my complaint.
However I won’t be buying from Sports Direct again. We tried to return new trainers bought online the day after we received them. They were tried on inside the house but were too big. In same condition as received and we were refused a refund as apparently the soles were dirty. There was no mark on the soles (tried on inside) and so we were refused our £125 refund.
Appalling customer service especially for such a large company and breaking the law under the Consumers Act.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. SPORTS DIRECT IS RUBBISH
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. “Lower” price is just a con for rubbish products and awful customer care. Ordered an Everlast punch bag. When placing the order I was told it would be delivered within 3-7 working days. When it wasn’t I got in contact and was told that actually their hidden terms and conditions allows them up to 14 days to deliver. Even though at checkout and on the email confirmation it doesn’t say this anywhere. Delivery cost £19.99 and they have refused to refund it.
The item then arrived - MOULDY and in a broken box. Completely covered in thick green mould. Customer service said they’d agree to pick it up a WEEK later… it weighs 75kg and is just a hazard due to the size. I said I’d accept a 50% discount and my delivery refunded so I could get it cleaned as I needed the item a week prior and I don’t have time to wait for collection and a refund etc. they have refused. And they want me to wait in all day on the collection day…
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

No refunds - absolutely ridiculous
Bought a gym top and shorts in store, didn’t try before buying, wasn’t informed at the till that they don’t accept refunds.
Didn’t suit me when I tried at home and I felt it was overpriced for the quality/fit but when I went to return they said I could have a credit note or exchange they don’t do refunds. This must be one of the only reasons they’re still going because they’re taking peoples money and not allowing refunds! I exchanged for something else, the prices are rarely going to work out perfectly without you spending over and giving them more money so I’ve come away with a £2 credit note… Absolutely ridiculous and I won’t be shopping there again.

I've paid 11.99 for next day delivery (I ordered within the next day delivery window time displayed on the website) which is a big fee to have DPD tell me they will now deliver a day late.
Awful, expensive delivery experience, I paid the premium because it's birthday gifts.

Can't fault Sportsdirect
Can't fault Sportsdirect, there's always a bargain to be had. I play a variety of sports and gym a lot, so it's great to have somewhere to get a wide range of clothing, shoes/trainers, equipment etc. There are great options for kids sports clothing and trainers too!

Disgusting behaviour by Staines store manager.
Refused to refund a pair of faulty joggers, the word no came out of his mouth within seconds. Accused us of mis using the joggers rather than there being a fault. Rude and vile behaviour. I will never shop in sports direct again
