Let down multiple times-zero customer service
Having had 2 velux windows fitted by Springfield I was told on the day of fitting that one of the blinds had not yet come in so would be fitted ASAP. Now 5 weeks later 3 no shows and counting,I still have a blind missing and one of the windows won’t close as it is so stiff! The after care is non existent, they never respond to emails and just leave you hanging. I’ve been fed multiple excuses for no shows. This is no way to run a business-utterly awful! I won’t be using them again and would tell others to steer clear!

A first class product ( Velux window ) professionally fitted by two very pleasant workers. I had, initially, been wary of the remote pricing for the work, as a pensioner unused to this style of estimating, but I needn't have worried and a special mention for the Lady on the office computor - Lucy - she always responds quickly and does exactly what she says she will - you can rely on her.!!

Failed to start job and poor communication
I hired spring field development to replace a leaking sun tunnel. After paying a 30% deposit they failed to attend on three dates for the work, with a variety of excuses, such as rain on a day forecast to be dry (and was dry, and was before the start of a bank holiday weekend). Communication with the company, by phone or email was very difficult and slow. I would not recommend using this company.

Cat flap fitted into patio door
Just had a cat flap fitted into patio doors. Done within timescale given and very nice chap fitted it and new double glazed door panel in no time. Excellent service. I payed nothing until job completed.
Springfield Developments excellent service
Springfield Developments were super efficient on fitting day. The fitters were polite, tidy and made time to deal with a difficult replacement of three 20yr old Velux windows. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a quality job done.

Had to wait quite a while for my new windows however this was explained at the beginning was due to supply issues . Windows look great plus blinds also fitted minimum mess and everything left tidy, they really kept me informed when there was delays and the reasons why, was super impressed about that as they telephoned rather than just messaging

Had a shattered Velux window, contacted Springfield, gave them the details, they advised price and date to replace. Cost was very reasonable and the engineer Ross was very polite and professional.
Highly recommended and will use again if needed.

Had to wait 3 weeks longer than I had expected, but was informed of the delay. Very happy with new windows and very polite and tidy tradesmen.
Poor Customer Service
Whilst I am delighted with the window and the two lads that installed it this is far as my praise goes for this company. Was quoted a price and an install timeframe of 3 - 5 weeks for install and paid a third of the cost as a deposit, after 5 weeks lapsed and hearing nothing I tried chasing and chasing, phone calls were not being returned or emails answered. Finally I made contact was given an install date at week 8 and arranged time off work - job was cancelled 15 hours before the installation, meaning a wasted day from my annual leave. More chasing and again unanswered phone calls or emails then eventually given an install date which all toll took 11 weeks. One day after install they were on the phone looking for the balance, which transpired to differ from the agreement. Everyone is now backing off and blaming each other for what was agreed and refusing to budge. I totally loathe dis-honesty and being messed around and on that basis would never recommend this Company to anyone.
Unprofessional
Unprofessional. Our experience had been one of missed appointments and excuses. We have waited in for work to be completed 4 times when booked and nobody had turned up. Blaming suppliers, traffic anything but their lack of organisation and professionalism. Finally we agreed to wait until the sun tunnel we ordered was in their possession and a final date set to fit.
This morning, on the morning of fitting we receive a text saying they have been let down on a delivery?! Totally untrustworthy in our options when we had given them the benefit of doubt and paid a deposit in good faith.

This company is a disaster and one of the employees is a very bad educated and rude person who hangs the phone to the customers. I paid for a door panel 3 months ago and this was not yet delivered. All I get as a reply is "we have to talk to our manager" and the excuse "we are working from home". In the meantime, I paid for this job 3 months ago and no reply. According with my research, the company is permanently closed. If this is true, then they committed fraud as they took my payment knowing they were already out of business.
ANSWER TO SPRINGFIELD...
They continue with the bad treat to a customer who's been patient for more than 3 months and all has obtained were excuses and delays. I had to call today again and the answer was the same "must talk with my manager, we are working from home"... about the research I did, I can send you the screenshot that clearly says "permanently closed", so this is not an invention. I expect my money back and for sure will never again do business with your company. Poor service, lack of education, rude responses (when responding)... as said THIS COMPANY IS DISASTROUS. AVOID IT.

Shocking Customer Service
Shocking Customer Service. After being told numerous times over a 3-month period that the glass for our cat-flap was due to be delivered that week, we then discovered this was a complete lie and the glass had not even been made.
During this time, speaking with customer service staff over 5 times, each time they said a member of staff would get back to me that day, which never happened.
Shocking customer service - avoid this company.
Replacement Velux Window Happy Customer
We recently had a replacement Velux Window installed, and I am delighted I chose Springfield Developments to do it. We were thrilled with the guys expertise, care and first class result, the guys worked cleanly and efficiently, they respected my property, and were very professional and friendly
We all know that equipment and parts are hard to to get in these tough times but Springfield Developments came through for me within the agreed timescale. They will undoubtedly be gaining my business to replace two more windows

Good service and communication throughout the whole process. Gareth and Steven were polite, tidy and removed my old windows and rubbish from site even though I had a skip on my drive for other works. Most would have simply filled my skip without a thought, very happy overall.

Not something I would normally think of doing to be honest if hadn’t been invited to do so, but understand the importance of feedback/reviews whether it be good or bad.
I had two old Roto windows replaced in August with new solar powered Velux, I had to wait longer than expected due to material shortages, which I wasn’t too concerned about as was made aware and forwarded the statement from Velux to back this up. I was then offered a Sunday to complete the work which worked out well for me so accepted the day. When Gareth and Steven arrived they were clean and courteous throughout but visibly tired, I asked why they were giving their Sunday up to kindly complete my job and found out that due to the delays they are working 7 days a week and not everyone was as easy going myself. It’s not nice to see people stressed when there is literally nothing they can do about it and worry for peoples mental health working not for themselves or money but to please others. I think more people need to take a step back out of their bubble and think of the bigger picture and other people.
