Disappointing

I unfortunately had a very bad experience ordering skates from the SP Teri website and feel I need to share my experience here as a warning to other skaters considering placing an online order. After exchanging several emails with Bill at SPTeri and clearly stating the size and spec I required, I was disapointed when my £950 skates arrived with the wrong size blades, damage to the heel, and in a rather dirty condition. I sent the boots back to Tennessee at a cost of £70 and Bill agreed to replace the blades, repair the heel and send photos for my approval. Annoyingly, he did not do this, and posted the boots back without giving me an opportunity to review the repair. The repair was not sufficient - there was still a noticeable divot to the leather heel, however Bill refused to accept a return, despite admitting over email that the skates were damaged. I explained that I did not think it unreasonable to want brand new £950 skates to be in perfect condition, however I was told that I did not know what I was talking about. I have now sent them back, again at a cost of £70, and am in the process of retrieving the cost of the skates from my Credit card company. Unfortunately the credit card company will not be able to refund the cost of postage which means that this whole experience will leave me £140 out of pocket. I would strongly urge any skaters to avoid placing long distance orders with SP Teri.
