Buying bikes especially road bikes is or at least can be quite a personal thing, people connect with pro teams and or riders which can influence this. I had been feeling quite disenchanted by the whole industry but still wanted to get a frame that was different, individual and said more about me I guess I wanted to stand out from the crowd.
I don’t know how but I came across Standert through my love of fixies and just loved this young, grassroots team with an ethos of bikes from people who love cycling for people who love cycling!
So I bought a Kreissäge and couldn’t have been happier with what arrived and since this purchase I’ve maintained contact with Maxe Faschina who has been a great and kind support. More recently I had a warranty issue and was dealing with the excellent Scott Wardell. My issue was handled with real professionalism, care and with that rare “above and beyond” level of service that leaves you feeling more of a friend than just a customer, part of the Standert family you might say.
My new frame arrived and I’m not ashamed to say that I was emotional and shed a little tear due to this stunning new Kreissäge RS and the incredible service I was provided.
The frames are made one at a time, by Italian builders with love and care then they travel to Standert HQ where they’re also assembled with love and care by people who love to ride. So if you love to ride, like to stand out from the crowd, love beautifully made and looking bikes and have any sense you’ll look to join the Standert family and I guarantee you with a little patience and kindness you won’t be disappointed!

Just got my second standert Kreissäge frame and I'm in love. If I had one complaint it would be that the orange paint seems to fade fairly easily. If you have an older model it may be worth stripping the paint and having the frame cerakoted to save some weight and keep it rolling for years to come.

The quality of the frame is very good but it did not come with a manual or documentation.

Originally I ordered a frame kit only. When it turned out that sourcing components was nightmare, Standert was super helpful in changing the order to a complete bike with some special requests from my side.
They were very transparent about the progress of the order. On arrival there were two minor mix-ups (stem length, saddle) which they fixed swiftly.
The product itself, Pfadfinder Custom, is brilliant. It is so many bikes and I only played with the tire pressure (Vittoria Terreno Zero 32mm) yet. Road, cobbles, hard-pack it is super fun to ride and many conditions.
The frame itself is everything one expects from a modern steel build. Especially pleased with out of the saddle performance.
Looking forward to discover many more things with the Pfadfinder like high mountains and bike touring.

The bike is nice, joy to ride and looks very good. Also special wishes were considered while ordering.
Sadly it was not build up properly. Besides the pedals and handlebar which I knew that had to be fixed by me there were some other screws including the brake discs there were not fixed properly by the mechanics. This is not only very dangerous but also I had to go to a local bike workshop because you typically do not have the special tools to fix those parts. I did tell this to Standert but there was never an answer.

Amazing team, support and sublime riding bike.

One of the most beautiful fixed gear bikes I’ve seen, with beyond Beautiful details! The astronomy touches are beyond what I could’ve hoped for from the frame. I’ve yet to ride it yet, but the beauty on its own pays for it’s weight in gold and slowly building up the frame with components. Couldn’t have been happier and the order-processing-shipping time was much quicker than I thought it’d be so amazingly happy !

Edit 1: I’ve ridden the frame and build and can attest that it is spicy and very nicely handled and stiff! Relishing in how easy it is to put down power!
