Won't refund unopened masks

Ordered 2 masks for a total of $30, I never even opened them, but saw that the material/weight was not the right fit for me (too heavy for my liking). I determined this without opening the masks (just the weight in my hand, plus you can see the material through the packaging). I emailed for a refund, specifying that I had not opened the masks. They replied (a week later) that they do not accept returns on opened masks...again, I specified that they are unopened. Just a pain in the butt company with horrible reviews and flagged by the Better Business Bureau.

I ordered face mask that says nose bridge but meanwhile it does not have a nose bridge and it fully lets air in it just has a piece inside of it but it does not conform to your nose I reached out to them and they basically just said that there is a nose bridge

Are they deceiving customers?

I feel like there is some bad marketing, bordering on deception.

On 12-10-20 I ordered 2 Starks black, adult face masks that were advertised as being:

Dimensions: 6″h X 15.5″w including adjustable  cloth ear loops.  6″h X 7.5″ wide without ear loops.  Some size variation is normal.

Upon receipt of masks (Dec 16, 2020) I found the height was not 6” but rather 5” on both masks (both masks measured exactly the same size--no varation). That is a full inch difference. That is unacceptable. That is not “some size variation”, that is almost 20%. Unacceptable.

When I contacted them, I was first informed by customer service that I was measuring incorrectly. I sent them a picture of the measurement showing 5 inches. I requested a return & refund. They then said that this was a normal size variation and refused to take the mislabeled product back and issue me a refund.

If the masks are 5” they should be advertised that way and sold that way. They are selling these as 6” masks (which is the minimum size I require), then switching to these inferior 5” masks. $12.50 for a mask is pricy to begin with. If they will not deliver what they advertise, it is outrageously expensive (not to mention a bit deceptive).

I feel they are taking advantage of the elderly during this COVID crisis by selling any old thing, then telling people like myself, variations from advertised specifications are normal.

I will NOT buy anything from these people again.

This company is a scam.

This company is a scam. I spent $50 on their masks and they are low quality and don’t work. Glasses fog up right away no matter how I flip that extra bit of fabric because there’s no rigid nose ridge, so the mask sits away from the face where it goes over the nose. That alone would get them maybe 3 starts, but the fraudulent way they only post 5-star reviews makes them dishonest. Avoid this company!

I really like these masks however I…

I really like these masks however I have the first version which was good for me but way too small for my boyfriend... the ear loops were way too tight and gave him painful "dumbo" ears. We had to look elsewhere for masks for him but I would give the new version with the the adjustable ear loop a try since I liked the fabric and feel of them so much. They are comfortable and the nose flap helps keep it in place with less fog on my glasses. Lets hope the shipping is a little quicker this time as well!

If I could give negative stars I would

If I could give negative stars I would. I purchased 4 masks at $12.95 a piece, $51.80 total. They had a special going, but 4 get one free. They did not ship my order till 4 weeks after I placed it. Lots of excuses. So I received my 5 masks and non of them fit. So tight it hurt to even try to get them on. These were their old mask design with no adjustments to the ear bands. They are not elastic, so no give at all. Also, they started advertising their new 2.0 masks with adjustable ear straps one week after I placed my order and 3 weeks before they shipped.

It took 4 attempts to reach them by phone and email to discuss the problem and their response was, “Thanks for your order and for supporting our small business in Portland Oregon! Since face comes in all shapes and sizes we had to go with the one size fits most model and occasionally the masks just don't quite fit. In an era where we are minimizing touches we are not accepting masks back unless there is a manufacturer defect.

Take care and stay healthy!”

So no refund, no replacement. Just out $50 with a useless product. Such bad customer service. They could have easily sent me a couple of their new masks so at least I’d have something for my money.
