I feel a little scammed

First impression was great, a lot of good offers. Today there is no way I can get in contact with the company to cancel my membership. I just been in contact with 2 of their partners that have no idea about the partnerships and the offers. So it's a lot of hassle on my end to access those offers. No help at all.

All I want is to get my money back. The sales advisor, who wrote really often before and right after I become a member, has not been replying for a month now, customer service is not possible to reach trough the phone and the mails get no reply. What is happening?

In order to get further coaching you need to actually pay them too. I have been writing to some coaches, but I am ambivalent in continuing the conversations, if they'll be trying to sell me something on the other end again. Which I thought I'm paying already by having this membership. Some coaches also reply slow with weeks in between.
The membership gives you just access to coaches only, but not actual coaching seems like it.

I am in a situation where I feel extremely misinformed about what this platform can offer. There are no events to attend either.. and coaches sell their private coaching you have to pay extra for, which I was not informed about before becoming a member.

Definitely not recommending this

When I decided I don't want to use it anymore, I simply didn't pay the next membership bill. Since you pay upfront, it is common sense that you should not be allowed to use the service for which you didn't pay. Well I was wrong. I got another bill and about three months later, I found out that I owe them money for like three months even though I never even signed in during this time. Perhaps you should use expertise of your members to help you set up a proper membership that lives up to local standards, not your own.

Speaking of the concept, I really don't understand it. It's just like Yellow pages. Once you contact whoever you want, they will offer you their service for money. I can contact them without paying the membership too. The fact that I am not a fan of the concept is my problem though.

Edit/answer: You clearly are mixing up two different concepts - membership vs. subscription.

And, you heard from me 7 months ago when we exchanged a number of emails. First you said you will cancel it and later you threatened me that you won't until I pay the bill. My gym subscription isn't like that :)

We're sorry to hear you didn't like or understand the concept. We're always available to explain and onboard our members, so it's a shame you didn't reach out.

Our coaches offer coaching, advice, answers etc., but they do not offer active work as it's not part of the membership.

As to the membership bill; we're like a fitness subscription. Simply because you don't make use of it, we're always ready to help you if/when you should need it. Therefor it's imparrative that you actively cancel your membership - which is the industry standard for subscription services such as ours.

We hope this clarifies it all to you. We'd love to have heard this from you when you, 7 months ago, canceled your membership.

Edit/answer: Our membership works like the gym you attend - even if you don't use their facilities, you will still be charged a membership fee until you cancel your membership. It's a recurring bill, which you did not pay for X amount of time. When you decided to cancel your membership, you were asked to pay the difference - and then we'd remove the binding period (which you can read in our Terms of Service, and which you would have been informed about per mail & phone).

So what you precieved as a 'threat' was us trying to close the matter, and save you from paying an additional month for a membership you didn't want to use.

I could not give less! The owner of the company is 100% dedicated person to the cause. Only thanks to him my business idea started to move forward. I strongly recommend cooperation with StartUp Central as the business idea is changing into reality ;)
