Efficient suctomer services and smooth Web interface

We have been using Statrys for several years, and we are fully satisfied with their services. They have excellent customer service, fast response and they have been helpful on all enquiries we have sent them.
Good web interface, appreciable MT103 copy available upon transaction completion and proof of DBS payment processing makes tracking our funds easier.
They Business Mastercard is quite useful and their APP is user-friendly and efficient. For basic cash management they are perfect. I have used their company incorporation services and invoicing system for a friend of mine, who said he is fully satisfied with the services for this price. We expect to keep them as one of our banking partner for the years to come as they are perfect for daily payments and as backup account with low fees.

Not good!

I question the good reviews. On the plus side, people are nice, while this is appreciable it does not do much good if the services are bad. 30 days in and still not able to run my company...I have been patient but this is not acceptable.
To me it feels that they take the money and run...

Now onto the heart of your complaint. There were reasons why it took time to secure a business account for your company. From the moment your company was registered, we informed you that due to the nature of your industry, we could not guarantee that an account would be opened with Statrys. And indeed, that is what ultimately happened.

However, claiming that we “took the money and ran” is simply false. On the contrary, we went the extra mile to assist you by reaching out to another financial institution that could consider your case. This is, in fact, the institution that eventually opened your business account. While the process took some time - and we understand your frustration - the timeline was entirely dependent on their internal procedures—not ours.

Lastly, our support in helping you secure the account came at no additional cost. Many company secretaries charge several hundred U.S. dollars for similar assistance. We did it because we aim to support our clients—not profit from situations outside their control.

Misinterpretation of EU Sanctions & Poor Customer Service

I had a disappointing experience with Statrys regarding their handling of EU sanctions. Despite providing clear official guidance that deposit restrictions apply based on residency, not nationality, they insisted on enforcing their own interpretation, claiming that nationalities are subject to limitations—regardless of where they reside.

When I asked for a legal reference to justify their position, they completely ignored my request and instead suggested that I close my account. This lack of transparency and unwillingness to engage in a factual discussion raises serious concerns about their compliance policies and customer service.

If you’re looking for a financial institution that follows regulations correctly and treats clients fairly, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere.

P.S Updated Review – Statrys Sinks Even Lower

This is a follow-up to my earlier review of Statrys.

I have since closed my account with them (contrary to their misleading reply suggesting otherwise). The experience has only gone downhill:

They have not provided an account closure certificate.

They are now demanding 450 HKD just to issue this basic document—something that any reputable financial institution would provide free of charge.

This is outrageous and confirms what I already suspected: Statrys is not only poor in customer service and dismissive in attitude, but also engages in practices that feel exploitative and unprofessional.

If my first review wasn’t enough, let me be crystal clear now: stay away from Statrys. They are, quite frankly, a piece of rubbish as a financial institution.

Statrys provided a very smooth and quick registration process for a company in Hong Kong, along with business account registration. It was an absolutely positive experience. Also, the price is really reasonable. Applications have all required functional and convenient interface.

DON'T bother with this company

DON'T bother with this company, spoke to one of their advisors, told them I already have a company however they did not accept applications from companies based in the Seychelles. I was advised by Statrys they would open a new business in Hong Kong for me and then apply for a bank account with Statrys.

I fully explained before commencing with the application what the business did and it already operated very successfully, and was advised by Statrys to open business in HK.

After taking payment the business was formed by Statrys and then I had another online meeting for the bank account with them. The next day I received that my application had been refused!!!!!!!

I noted in the online meeting the man let slip a few times it was his company or used the words my company.

I believe this is scam to get customers to open a a company in HK and then refuse you application.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, save your money and go else where.

1. Yes, we do not incorporate companies in the Seychelles. That part is correct.

2. We do incorporate companies in Hong Kong, but we never promise that a company incorporated through us will automatically qualify for a business account. This is clearly stated on our website—account opening is always subject to approval. That’s because setting up a company cannot and should not be a loophole to bypass KYC requirements. Simply illegal!

3. The information shared during company incorporation may not be sufficient for business account approval. These are two separate processes with different requirements—something anyone in business should understand. Our account team may request additional information or a call to fully assess the business before making a decision. That’s exactly what happened in your case, and the final decision was not to open the account.

We are in the business of serving clients we understand and trust, not in the business of tricking people into buying a Hong Kong company by promising an account. The first keeps us busy enough, and the second isn’t exactly a scalable business model.

No consideration for my complaint!

I posted an bad experience with them in a previous posting relating to overcollection of KYC data and involvement of risky third party to verify KYC data!

This is their answer:
"We must say, your reason for posting a bad review is quite surprising! Do you really believe we can open a business account without collecting your passport and verifying your identity? That’s just standard KYC procedure—nothing out of the ordinary."

My answer:
They did not even bother to try to understand my point! Of course i offered my passport for KYC. My point is: i told them in the beginning of the application, i dont want RISKY third party involvement for verification. And then what happened! They asked for risky third party verification. Pointing to that from my side, they canceled the account application immedealty. Summary:

a) One hand does not know what the other does in this case!

b) Customer support is not able to read a simple complaint and answer accordingly like an apology for lost time! They are surprise! PATHETIC!!

c) No apology for mistakes!

Maybe better work with an established professional company!

We do owe you an apology—for the late reply.

That’s about it.

As for the rest, we won’t be apologizing to you (or anyone) who applies for a business account but refuses to go through standard identity verification. You know, the process where you show your passport on camera, then your face, and blink your eyes.
Like it or not, that’s how compliance works.

We’re in the business of serving clients who are proud of who they are and the businesses they build—not those who prefer to stay in the shadows. And if that means getting the occasional one-star review, so be it. If this even helps keep others with the same mindset away, all the better.

Statrys just committed theft

Statrys just committed theft, it's unbelievable what Statrys is doing. Statrys unilaterally closed the company's account while the company was still in operation, with the result that all the money in the account balance was lost. Statrys has not even been able to explain for what reasons such a nonsense, incomprehensible to common sense, was done. Statrys are thieves.

2. Do we understand your frustration? YES. You wished the funds to be sent to your personal account instead of your company.

3. Is Statrys responsible for your frustration? NO. We acted in strict accordance with the regulations, ensuring your responsibility as the company’s director is protected. The actual issue lies with your company secretary or lawyer, who failed to inform you about the rules governing company deregistration.

LONG ANSWER– STRONGLY RECOMMENDED READING FOR DIRECTORS AND SHAREHOLDERS OF HONG KONG LIMITED COMPANIES.

When a Hong Kong limited company attains dormant status and applies for deregistration, the following legal requirements apply:

1. All assets must be collected, all liabilities settled, and no accounting transactions should occur during dormancy.

2. Funds cannot be distributed to shareholders until deregistration is completed.

3. Director’s Responsibilities: Company directors are personally responsible for ensuring compliance with these legal obligations.

In conclusion, deregistering a company in Hong Kong (or any jurisdiction) is subject to clear regulatory requirements. It is advisable to seek legal counsel to ensure full compliance.

For someone who claims to have experience as a Vice President at a major bank in Hong Kong, we might have expected a more thorough understanding of standard KYC procedures.
In particular, verifying a client’s identity electronically is a basic requirement that we cannot and will not bypass.
If that expectation feels unreasonable or unfamiliar to you, we encourage you to consider a fintech or bank that doesn’t take regulatory obligations as seriously as we do. Why not check with your employer?
At Statrys, however, we prioritize secure and compliant operations, even if it means some applications don’t move forward and lead us to be labelled as “trash” or a “scam.

They refused to open an account for an company running since 8 years and working with CURRENXIE, RAPYD and other competitor of them without ANY reasons. What a shame.
