Mouldy new jam on opening

I bought this jam yesterday. Black Cherry. From reputable supermarket. When I opened it there was mould growing.
Looking on line after seeing this I see that St DALFOUR have recently removed the safety small plastic tab as their new policy.
This is obviously a mistake. Someone must have opened my jar to allow mould to grow .
Ugh. After most of my life using this jam it’s farewell from me. Anyone can open the jars now and tamper
