Steamcrate is a journey of discovery, where you can uncover hundreds of great games, all for a fraction of the retail price. All games are entirely randomly selected, and everyone gets a different mystery crate each month – Meaning that you could get the latest triple A blockbuster, or some mind bending indie game that you would have never have stumbled upon before. Unlike other subscription boxes, steamcrate is different – We send out your games digitally every month, direct to your inbox. So there’s no waiting around for something to eventually show up at your house – That also means steamcrate is available worldwide, without any country or border restrictions! We’re not ones to tie you in to a lengthy contract – You can cancel at anytime you choose, and the games you’ve already received are yours to keep forever!

They said my account was the result of fraud. I was paying good money from my disability. Do not buy their bull !@#$
If I could give 0 stars, I would. The games are not even the B rated garbage that has flooded steam in the last year. If you cancel early, you forfeit the rest of the time in your subscription.
Do yourself a favor and get a Humble sub.
This service really garbage and make me angry so much. They have hidden terms and not being transparant with their promotion. I'm buying this service from stacksocial and If I cancel subscription before end you don't get remaining games. I don't know about this and ask them to update terms on their promotion so other users don't get tricked. Recently, They put my account on hold and try to terminate my account after REBILL me with new subscription. I'm really disappointed with this service!!
Horrible selection of games. They obviously get games that people do not buy for a reason then redistribute. 95% of games I received had the "Mixed" and "Mostly Negative" reviews on steam, if not more.
Also my run in with support before my cancellation was absolutely horrid.
The games are not exactly truly random, don't believe it.
I've seen someone receive 5 same games in 2 months.
There is much going on here and it's fishy that they remove facebook comments of people complaining about it. Beside that i can't find the facebook page anymore.
What i got are those games that are worth nothing, cause if someone isn't willing to pay something for it. It basicly is worth nooothinggg.
So then you ask, how did you actually get on steamcrate?
Well steamcrate apparently has a good amount of contacts with groupon or stacksocial or whatevers. Basically it was like 20 dollar for 3 months. I was like.. Ohh why not? Steam crate i mean look at the picture at the front i see call of duty etc looks like they'll give good games. Well hell no don't hope for anything good in this bundle.
This isn't about giving chance to indie developers its just getting cheap distributed keys and sell them for higher price and calling it a crate.
This is their marketing scheme to make easy money. There is a better option out there which i don't have to say cause everyone probably knows it.
So basically if you read this. Know that you shouldn't get this steamcrate cause you have 99% chance to get a game like Mahjong deluxe or legends of atlantis such games...
I to be honest feel bad for the people that actually bought the bundle for full price and paid 73 pounds for 3 months or 263 pounds for 12 months something like that. I really feel bad for them.
Other thing i dislike is, if you cancel your sub you won't get the rest of the subscription. This is kind of annoying cause it means with this active coupon i have to stop it second month and not get the third or else i will pay for another 3 months and that will be like 80+ euros... for bad games like this.. No thankssss
About a week ago, Daily Dot had a deal on SteamCrate subscriptions, where you could get 3 months for just shy of $30. I've had great luck with the Humble Monthly Bundle, so I figured getting another subscription service would be a good way to add some more cool titles to my library. Since it was my first Daily Dot purchase, I actually got an additional discount code which dropped the coupon they had for the 6 month subscription to $36, so I figured why not? 60 games for $36? What's not to love?
Well, I'll tell you what's not to love. My first SteamCrate just arrived yesterday, and here's what I got:
Atlantis: Pearls of the Deep
Barnyard Mahjong 3
The Hidden Dragon
Sweet Candy Mahjong
Mini Golf Mundo
Where's My What
Murder Mystery Adventure
Kingdom of Aurelia: Mystery of the Poisoned Dagger
Edge of Twilight- Return to Glory
Mystery Of Rivenhallows
For those of you keeping score at home, that's a match-3 puzzler, 2 different Mahjong games, 4 hidden object games, a mini golf game, a point-and-click adventure game, and one action-adventure title. And most of them have either mixed or overwhelmingly negative reviews. Even at an average of $1.66 apiece, that's a ripoff. Bear in mind that they advertise the service by saying that past crates contained games like Mortal Kombat X and Fallout 4. When I wrote in to express how much this sucks, the SteamCrate rep basically said "it's all random, tough s***. Oh, and if you cancel now, you lose the remaining 5 months you already paid for. Peace!"
When I wrote them, I informed them of my intent to take to social media, forums, review sites, etc., and spread the word about just what a ripoff their service is. Since they didn't take the opportunity to do some basic customer service, I am now doing just that. Behold my misfortune, laugh and learn from it. Don't subscribe to SteamCrate.
Been with them 3 months now, got two triple a games this month. Loving it so far, keep up the good work.
I signed up with a heavy discount from a third party site and even with the discount I haven't gotten my monies worth. Each crate contains 10 very cheap, very poor games all of which have been given away for free or put in bundles for a couple of quid for multiple games.
You'll get multiple keys for the same awful games over and over, infact one month I had two duplicate games in the same month, I got issued another 10 keys by support in quick order only to find I already had most of the new keys from previous months. Despite giving away as many extra copies as possible I still have 2 x Super killer Hornet, 3 x Gold Rush Classic, 3 x Realms of haunting, 2 x Platypus II, 2 x Agent Awesome and 10 other single codes I cant use or even give away.
Even the games I've redeemed have no practical value because the games are so poor barely play them before uninstalling for life.
It's my 3rd month and believe me. Don't spend any cent on this site, you'll receive only crappy games.
Not the best at the moment. I mean, ive got my moneys worth, around £100 or so each month in retail price value, but I think there should be more chance of getting triple a games...
Love getting new games each month, it's exciting not knowing what your gonna get. I've liked quite a few of my games so far.
websites a bit slow tho. So far ive got indie games, but thats what i expected anyway, and at this price its still a steal.
Been with them a few months, and Im liking the experience so far.
All games are entirely random - Yes that is the risk you take..
Ive got quite a few indie games that I have never heard of, but have been quite fun. Ive had one or two Popular/Well known titles as well that have kept me entertained for quite a few hours. Overall, Ima stay subbed for quite a while longer as its a cool concept and its been fun so far!
Keys are not random and you pay for a crap ton of games you will never want to play because they are cheap and have horrible reviews (mostly puzzle games). Have not received a single game I have heard of after several months of subscription and 5 booster packs. Booster packs have repeated keys numerous times. Customer service is horrible and they will make you wait forever before responding half-heartedly. Save your money for legitimate Steam purchases and buy the games you actually want.

Hey guys,
I’m here to share my experience with SteamCrate, so I’m posting this on every review website to spread the word.
It was my first (and last) subscription and here’s how it went:
Let’s start from the beginning. I made two steam crate orders and then I got an email saying that my credit card is a fraud and telling me to send them a picture of my ID and credit card. Awesome, right? At first I thought it was a scam, contacted them, apparently it wasn’t. So I had to send it to them in an email (non-secure connection). By the way, their email also said ,,we will need this information within 24 hours, or your account may be terminated” and you know what’s the funny part? They sent it to me at night and I had to work the whole day. Stress-free beginning of a new subscription, right?
But that’s not the end. The FAQ says ,,we will send your order on the 16th of every month. As long as you’ve subscribed before Midnight on the 15th of the month, then you’ll get it the same month.” When you order a crate, it automatically becomes a subscription so if you want to cancel it, you have to contact support. Or, in other words, write an email because they don’t have a contact page with an online form. That’s what I did, and I also explained what the FAQ said and that I wish to cancel my future subscriptions and not the current one-month orders. And at that time the whole SteamCrate company seemed to me as if there were a couple of dudes sitting in front of the PC screen wearing just their underwear. Really. That’s basically how I pictured them because of how they spoke to me. Unprofessional communication.
But wait, there’s more! The 18th of the month came and I still didn’t receive the games. Had to write them an email (again). The support (the same guy) answers really fast, less than a day, so consider it a plus. I got the keys sent to me, all written in HTML in one simple email as an answer. The guy only said ,,It should have been sent already. Anyway, here's a copy of your games”, that’s all. No polite forms, no goodbye, nothing professional. Just a dude in his underwear, let’s add a coffee stain now.
Oh, and the games are simple. Absolutely no blockbusters. Those were mostly indie games with positive or mixed reviews; the best ones had around 200 reviews on steam (just a couple of games), one game had just 1 review, the majority had less than 50 reviews, all of them cost just a couple of dollars each. I’d buy such games for someone who knows and likes only tetris. A waste of time and money. The whole crate showcase on their webpage is a scam. Oh, and the games that you get are sorted in an alphabetical order as if they took a whole alphabet of games and chopped them up into bundles. My first order had games starting with B,C,D, the second order M,N,O,P.
I also found a reddit post where a user noticed the same pattern of an alphabetical algorithm.
This was a very stressful subscription that was forcing me to communicate a lot with the support. I wouldn’t wish that to anyone. So, naturally, I’m never subscribing to them again.
Hope I’ve helped.
