After using Stelo for just one month, I’m left disappointed and lighter in the wallet. The sensors stopped reading halfway through the day unless I taped them in place, which wasn’t included. The app... See more

Customer service in a rush

Would be a first time customer. Definitely not now. Called to get help with Stelo app. Customer service couldn't help at all. Suggested that I get someone to help me from family/friends. Still had the the gull at the end of conversation if I needed anything else. In a rush to get off the phone with me. Got this treatment both times I called.

Terrible customer service experience, terrible quality control

I am incredibly disappointed- I loved my Stelo at first because I love being able to track my glucose. But in the last 3 months, I’ve had three sensors that would not disengage from the applicator. I’ve sent them back and the first two times I received a replacement. This third time has been infuriating. Terrible customer service - no one will take responsibility for remedying the issue and I sent the monitor back and they say they are not going to issue a replacement. I paid for this monitor and all I want is a working monitor. I am a coach who will be recommending a different company to my clients. I do not want anyone to have the frustration I’ve had. DO NOT RECOMMEND- use a different company, like Lingo and save yourself the time and frustration!

So I signed up for Stelo in January on…

So I signed up for Stelo in January on a 3 month subscription. I had one sensor come out early due to swimming and it coming out. So I went on to the website to find my subscription and have it send early Well it is UBER hidden. I didn't see it when I logged so I thought that it didn't go thru. So I ordered another one, and that came. Well it ended up charging for the first one 2 weeks later. I didn't know about it until my husband told me about being charged twice. Well come to find out that the earlier subscription did work. Talked to Customer Service and they wouldn't do anything to make it right. They wouldn't even cancel the other subscription. So I spent another 5-10 minutes trying to "find" the subscription page. (looks like you can only find it if you ask the bot to cancel subscription then it gives you the link.) Awful customer service and awful ordering website. T

Great customer service

Great customer service. If I have an issue, they ship me a new device with a few days. One the subscription plan, so they ship me two devices a month. Very happy with service. Has helped me keep my numbers down and stay on track.

These sensors are very unreliable

These sensors are very unreliable! Customer support is horrible!! In the first five 15 day sessions, two of the sensors were replaced through their Bot support methods. I only wanted to ask questions but new sensors were sent. One of the sensors measured off the charts high creating anxiety. The last sensor measured off the charts low. The current sensor seems to measure more in line with blood tests but I’m on day two so we will see. The inconsistent readings and lack of real customer support is why I will not be buying anymore of these!!!

I ordered and paid for a month supply on subscription. I received a statement with delivery date that came and went with no delivery.
Stelo support “Bot” is useless and their in person contact cannot provide any answers. I was given a case number and told to wait a couple of days for their response. Oh and btw…no refunds.
This is starting to feel like a scam.

Don’t waste your money buying this product

Don’t waste your money buying this product. It will not pair and I cannot get tactical support. You write to them and they say they want two days I’ve written three times and I’m still not gotten an answer and it’s been five or six days. product is a total waste of money.

Stelo refused to replace a wildly inaccurate sensor. I started to get atypically high readings and checked with finger pricks. Sensor would say 160, finger prick was 125. Customer service call was disconnected. Never got an email denying claim so I kept wasting time on it.

INCORRECT data

Gives incorrect data, which could be life threatening.

Fortunately for me, being off by 30 all day meant lots of anxiety and a trip to the urgent care, which took hours to confirm my sugar was in fact in a normal, healthy range.

I wish I could give a zero, but they probably wouldn't care anyway. Go look on reddit, there's nothing but complaints about faulty sensors, poor customer service, and the fact this "product" is junk.

This company refuses to give refunds for faulty devices and their support is terrible. If you need a monitor get a prescription.

If I could give 0 stars

If I could give 0 stars, I would. There is absolutely no support for the Stelo product. I am an experienced used of Dexcom and the Stelo product is almost exactly the same thing. I received a bad sensor that would not pair and it's virtually impossible to get the company to send me a free replacement. I am going to use the rest of the Stelo sensors I bought and then wait until the Freestyle OTC product is compatible with Android and switch over. I'll never use the Stelo product again.

Works perfectly

Works perfectly! I’ve never used a device like this before. I ordered it, followed the directions and it has worked flawlessly. This is a game changer. Being able to see real-time results after I had eaten was quite an eye-opener. Especially for foods that I thought were good or ok for me to eat. I would highly recommend this product. I’ve read all the reviews. It appears many of the bad reviews deal with shipping delays or improper use of the device when putting it on your arm. I haven’t needed customer service so I can’t comment on that.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

I'm so irritated by this company. I didn't realize i had somehow set up auto ship. When i was notified that the auto order had been confirmed, i tried to sign on to their website to cancel. Guess what?! their website was down for 24 hours preventing me from canceling the order. Because their "policy" they do not do refunds of any kind. product worked ok, but I'M SO IRRITATED that because of STELO.com website being down i couldn't cancel my 'auto' ship.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. considering there no refund policy, let me stress this for you. ZERO refunds PERIOD. doesn't matter that you are or are NOT at fault. zero refunds. Screw the customer, that is more of their motto/policy.

I got a $252 rip off by Dexcom Stelo

I got a $252 rip off by Dexcom Stelo. Do not purchase from them. Their customer support is terrible. They do not warn you that they are about to ship a subscription renewal in time to change the address or shipping date. I received an email that they were shipping a 3-month renewal, and I was not allowed to change the date or address. I contacted support and explained that we were leaving for our summer residence, and I needed to change the address. They stated that there was nothing that they could do even though I received another email that due to a shipping bottled neck that my shipment would be delayed. All of this occurred on March 19, 2025. As of today, March 28, 2025, they still have not shipped my order. We are long gone, and my order will be sitting in my driveway all summer if they every ship it as they usually ship via Amazon shipping. So, I just wasted $252 and they do not care.

This product is not ready for primetime…

This product is not ready for primetime and customer service is abysmal. Followed sensor insertion instructions to the letter, after 24 hours am getting wildly inaccurate readings, more than 25% off actual BG levels. The bot on the website is from the circles of hell, and customer service (if you can find them) is completely inert. They took a report, gave me a case number and said it could be up to 30 days to get a response. Meanwhile I'm out $100, have a defective sensor, and unclear if I should use the second one or wait to hear from someone in case I need to return it. Also learned from customer service the sensors have a 25% failure rate -- this product is not ready!!

I regret buying from them

I regret buying from them. I ordered two of their biosensors for $50 each. The first one I put on instantly filled up with blood so the paper insert instructed me to remove it. Stelo would not replace it even though I was unable to use it for even one minute. I am tentative to even try the other one now knowing that it wont be replaced if the same thing happens.

Ordered about 10-days ago, still not shipped

Ordered about 10-days ago. Order is still "preparing to ship." Stelo claims it has "carrier delays," although I was able to get a similar product (Lingo) within 3-days. Customer service is terrible. Chatbot only with canned responses, even when interacting with a human. I've cancelled my subscription but Stelo refuses to cancel the unshipped order to the tune of $250+.

My gripe is not with the product but the humans.

My gripe is not with the product, if you follow the instructions perfectly, it works perfectly.
Use only what it comes with and none of the flowery "over patches", that will screw it up.
I auto paid for this product over 10 days ago. Their site still says "processing".
Skip it, the data is interrupted and useless now. I processed a stop payment through my bank, its easier to reverse pmt with a credit card, so I hope it goes through.
I contacted my doctors office and advised him on using Stelo for his patients again. Endocrinologists are expensive to begin with, they don't need to peddle a decent product ran by half assed people. Go straight for Dexcom.
I called the phone number on my bank statement and received a body to talk to. She is from Dexcom and cannot help with Stelo. She did confirm Stelo is handled by a bot.
I told her I would stop payment and Stelo can bot that. Too bad, it worked good but humans got in the way and they can ruin a free lunch.

No refunds on subscription

No refunds on subscription. I realize that it’s my fault that I signed up for a subscription, but I did it unknowingly. The policy is that you have 60 minutes after you receive notice of a refill to cancel it. I received my refill notice at 4:30AM. I saw the email later. (Unbeknownst to me, all emails were going into my junk mail.) When I checked the website, it said the order is in process. It had not yet shipped. I called customer service (I had to find a phone number on Reddit. It’s not on their site.) They are absolutely not going to let me cancel or return the product that I do not want or need. $90 in the garbage. I hate when companies take advantage of consumer errors.
