Sterling check is currently carrying pre employment checks for my new job. How tedious and ridiculous is this company. Want me to provide a current address for a company that no longer exist! Well, does exist but under a parent company, who's details I have given. Now wanting proof that I was unemployed for 5 weeks in between leaving and starting a job. If I wasn't working, what else would I have been doing.

This company fails to comply with UK Data protection law. You are most strongly advised to never give them any personal data or to even open an email from them (which may contain spyware) and certainly to never click on a link they might send you. You are advised NOT to trust them with your data, especially anything sensitive like financial information.

I aplied for job for one company and they doing online documents verified! I uploaded 5 times documents also with managers help and at least I asked sterling company answer what’s wrong and they said I need biometric residential permit!! They going under law! Cause I never had problems with my documents I have Setled status and I have eu passport also new one p45 as well, living in uk 8years and I am home owner and they asking me to have a permit!! Wich costs from 229£ till 800£ but at least I tried to apply and government system said that I don’t need permit! Also called to citizen advise bureau as well! Waisting time company !! Be careful with it!
