On April 2nd, 2026 I orderd an paid for Wooask A9 4G Standalone Translator Earbuds with ChatGPT but got only AI Translator earbuds A9S, what are not "standalone" (without built-in SIM card module!). I urged the correct delivery three times but received neither the correct device nor any reply, nor any refund. The delivered device does not work offline!

I would like to share my personal experience with the **Wooask A9 4G standalone translator Earbuds**, a Chinese product that I purchased in March 2026.

First of all, I should say that the company’s support team only responds politely to your emails **before** you buy the product. As soon as they receive your payment, most of your emails are ignored—especially if they contain any criticism. After receiving the product, I sent them four emails, and they replied to only one.

Secondly, the device’s capabilities are clearly exaggerated. The device cannot continue translating for more than about 1-2 minutes—and even then, the translation is not accurate; you often have to guess the intended meaning of the sentence. So what happened to the AI and the so-called quad-core processor? No one knows. The claimed 98% accuracy simply never happens. After at most two minutes of continuous translation, the device suddenly stops and fails to continue. Therefore, it is not suitable for use in classrooms, seminars, lectures, or even short business meetings with foreigners. In fact, it can even become a distraction, since it does not provide reliable translations.

Third, the response time is very different from what is stated on their website (Under half a second !!! No way). In reality, the device is extremely slow. In one test, I had to wait 29 seconds for the translation to start, which means you miss a large portion of the speaker’s content.

Fourth, the recording feature is also weak. The audio quality is not acceptable unless you are very close to the speaker, means the MIC is not enough good. I have tested all these features multiple times and recorded videos as evidence.

Fifth, the price is quite high. You would expect that by paying around $300 USD, you would receive a reasonably high-quality product—but that is not the case. What you get is mostly superficial design and an attractive appearance. The price does not match the quality at all; essentially, you are paying for how it looks.

Sixth, despite their claims, they do not cooperate with returns or refunds if you are dissatisfied with the product.

Therefore, my recommendation is: **do not waste your money and look for alternative solutions.**
