The lock broke on our new front door, an engineer was booked to fix it but never turned up, no phone call/email to say they could no longer make it.
I’ve rang and emailed constantly for weeks but never get a response!

Unacceptable Customer Service from Stormclad
In May 2023, Stormclad installed a new front door for my home. The installation was fine, but by January 2024 the lock had already failed. I promptly contacted them, and they initially said they were waiting for parts to repair/replace the lock.
However, after providing that response 10 weeks ago, Stormclad has gone completely dark. Numerous follow-up phone calls and emails going unanswered. As paying customers, we deserve better responsiveness and resolution when an expensive, critical product like an entry door lock fails within 8 months.
While I've had okay experiences with Stormclad in the past for other installations, their lack of any communication or service for this lock issue has been unacceptable. I'm escalating through other channels, but strongly caution others to be wary about using Stormclad. If this is how they handle product defects, it's a red flag about their commitment to customer service.
As of now, I have a new door with a broken lock and no resolution in sight after 2.5 months. Not the quality experience you'd expect after choosing Stormclad as your door installer.

had windows fitted in 2020 - and been having problems ever since, still have not got a resolution to the problem (windows not fitted properly resulting in wind and rain getting in around the seals). Customer service is appalling - engineers not turning up, rude staff on the other end of the phone.

Incompetent liars
We must be the luckiest people alive, our carport was finally almost completed before Christmas after a lot of phone calls and delays, appalling communications, lies and incompetence. I had been waiting to write a damning review until we finally got two end pieces fixed but have now found out they've gone bust. Hardly surprising given this truly dreadful company and their lies. I feel very sorry for those who have paid hefty deposits and lost their money.

After employing this company to build an extension in 2022, I have been chasing them ever since as they never gave us a Building Completion Certificate, Electrical Safety Certificate or any handover docs at all. We only found this out as our Mortgage deal ended and we can't re-mortgage without any of this info, leaving us paying Standard Variable Rate. Have been chasing since November and they have simply done nothing. Derby Building Control still have our extension listed as an "Unauthorised Structure".
I found out this week that they have gone bust, like many other posters this week. This is disgusting to experience and to see that cowboys like Stormclad are allowed to trade. No doubt they will re-launch under a different name next week and carry on like nothing else has happened. I will be keeping an eye out for that and will be visiting them and their website/social media to make sure everyone knows what they are - Unprofessional, Dishonest, Misleading Cowboys.

Been fighting this company for last 3 years to put right a poorly built conservatory. Been lied to, deceived by Mark Davies and will be 5 k out of pocket. Just found out they have folded. Not surprised as the non existent customer services , broken promises and lies have been constant. I hope the individuals are never allowed to trade again. Angry and gutted. Rogue traders!

This company was totally dishonest
Trying to tally when the earliest order was placed with Stormclad before 1st May 2023 that failed to be completed or refunded. I was fraudulently conned by them order placed 6/5/23 and it appears they were still taking orders and deposits up until a few days ago. Please post if you have had a negative experience with them.

Found out this morning via a friend from a different firm that the company ceased trading on 16/02/24.
I have now had the information confirmed via a previous employee who advised that Leonard Curtis are now acting on their behalf and that I now need to contact them to find out how I get my deposit back.
I am stunned, shocked and distressed that a company in such a dire financial position can allow sales agents to continue to take deposits 5 working days before they cease trading. They even booked a surveyor to come to measure my home for installation on 15/02 and then ceased on 16/02. Stunned this is legal.
My only advice to others in similar positions is to check the money expert site and advise around chargeback as you maybe able to reverse a transaction in these circumstances depending on the method of payment.
A very distressing day with now £1000’s in limbo

Found out this morning that this company has gone bust. They still booked me a date for a service call last Friday to check a faulty installed glass veranda. Rain water leaking through every joint. Waited all day and nobody showed. Tried calling and sent WhatsApp and email, no reply on the phone. Called the Brookfield Garden centre as Stormclad had a big display area on this site. Was told that the company has folded and displays are being removed. Never received any warranty papers from Stormclad, so now I am stuck with the cost of putting things right. So annoyed.

The Company as apparently gone into Liquidation , they have taken money from numbers of people including us and have lead us down the road for 15 weeks making promises they know they couldn't keep and still no windows , Don't answer emails or phone calls , their head office is closed !!

Having had double glazing installed we are now on our 4th failed sealed unit. Customer service is appalling. Never answer emails, getting through on phone is nigh on impossible. When you do get to them they make appointments to visit and then do not show up.

Called them over 1.5 weeks ago to repair locking mechanism on front door (this has been changed twice already) cannot use the front door! earliest visit arranged for this morning between 9am-12noon, no show from fitter! (website states office closed) no answer on the phone very unprofessional.....
Highly recommended, quality products
Window refit just completed by the Fitters at Stormclad, and I cannot praise them enough, they were very friendly and approachable, their experience of window fitting was clear to see and they look fantastic, they were also very conscious of ensuring our carpets and furniture were protected throughout the refit.
It is not just the expertise they showed during the fit that was appreciated but also the little things - arriving at the time they said they would, tidying up at the end of the day etc.
I would definitely recommend Stormclad the Company for any Windows, Doors, Soffits& Fascias etc as I have used them for all of these items in the past and have never been disappointed. The quality and choice of the products they offer are excellent.

WARNING AVOID THIS COMPANY
WARNING - Please do not use this company. The product looks great in the showroom, but when installed by cowboy builders, you end up with problems. We have been trying to resolve the issues we have for over two year and the saga is still ongoing. Customer service is diabolical, and practically non existent. They promise the world but deliver nothing without a fight. We have had to pay for our own structural engineer to investigate the issues, as the solution given to us by Russell Norman was a fob off and was not fit for purpose. On the advice of our structural engineer, Stormclad have now underpinned and heli fixed our structure, which was coming away from our house, but we continue to bang our head against a brick wall to get the internal flooring relayed. We have kept our opinions to ourselves until now, but enough is enough. We don’t want others to have the nightmare we are currently dealing with. If we do not get this matter resolved satisfactorily in the coming month, we will be taking legal action.

Great Install
Recently had 8 windows replaced, one requiring a lintel.
It took 3 days as the building team couldn't make it until the final day. 2 different teams over the install but all very polite and tidy.
The windows have made such a difference to the warmth of the house.
This is the second time we've had work done on our house as they replaced our front door a few years ago

New Argon filled windows and New Solidood
Fitters Stewart and Jack did a lovely job of fitting the new windows you could hardly tell they had been in the house.
Keith and Kevin fitted the new Solidoor and again you wouldn't know they had been in the house . No more steamed up and running windows 🙂. What's not to like. Would recommend.
