Bought 2 flood door barriers after a flood but didn’t get around to fitting them. Opened the boxes & main sliders were missing in one box. I appreciate it was a while ago but now wants to charge me £53.85 & vat for something that I never received & paid for already. Buyers beware open & open & check boxes on receipt. Making more profits iut of their failing to provide what is advertised.

Too expensive and doesn't seem to make any difference!

After my house flooded in 2021, I invested in flood barriers for the doors on the lower floor of my house. I am absolutely delighted with the result. They fit perfectly and have prevented my house flooding on at least 2 further occasions. It's peace of mind I would no longer be without

My God L can talk. I nearly got flooded again by the time he finished talking. A very egotistical man who does not take anyone else’s viewpoint onboard and will bombard you with having “50 years of experience”; and if your suggestion is any different to what his company provides, it simply isn’t good enough. He quoted me for anti-flood air-bricks which cost around £25 online but quoted each one for £75. He charged me nearly £400 for his survey, for simply counting how many air-bricks I’ve already got (15), which I later found out the existing air-bricks are in fact anti-flood air-bricks - he made sure to keep that to himself. He knows the amount of grant councils are giving to flood victims for flood prevention work and he simply is taking advantage of that by making sure the quote he gives for any amount of work, no matter how small, is close to the maximum amount. I wish councils could make it easier by getting rid of the bureaucracy so that genuine companies can offer honest flood prevention services.

Stormguard have been excellent to deal with from start to finish. Alastair was extremely helpful on the telephone when initially contacted and sent the quote for fitting of the sump pump promptly by email and was able to book a definite date for fitting. The gentlemen arrived to fit the pump punctually and were extremely professional in all respects and made a beautiful job of fitting the pump and explained and demonstrated how the pump worked really clearly. They cleared up thoroughly and left everything shipshape. I could not have been more pleased with the service provided.

The whole process was superb from the initial contact to the final installation of the flood barriers in our house. Alastair, John and co were helpful, efficient, tidy and highly knowledgeable and we are delighted with the end result. I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone.
