From start to finish, our privately curated tour of Northern Italy with Storywalking was nothing short of spectacular. Every detail was flawlessly arranged, seamless, and luxurious.
The itinerary was thoughtfully designed, balancing iconic landmarks with hidden gems only locals would know. Storywalking designed a trip that was once in a lifetime for us! The staff were very responsive and easy to work with! They provided us with an itinerary that reflected our interests and requests.

Jessica from Storywalking put together an outstanding itinerary for our 15-year anniversary Tour of Italy. To make this trip even better than just the sights, sounds, and food of Italy, she provided detailed support leading up to and during the trip. As someone who tends to worry a little too much, I felt completely taken care of, truly had a worry-free time, and could really immerse myself in the history and culture of the various cities that we visited. I also want to comment on the quality of the various activities. Most everything was a small group activity so there was a lot of interaction with the guides. When there was some complexity in getting to a destination, she arranged for private transport, which greatly reduced effort on our part. There was also a great variety in the types of activities: Touring ancient ruins in Rome, lunch at a winery in Tuscany, museums in Florence, cooking class in Florence, mask-making in Venice, and a tour of a Murano glass factory. Jessica put together a trip that far exceeded my expectations. For my first trip to Europe, this was wonderful and a can't recommend Jessica and Storywalking enough.
Some memorable parts of the trip included discovering a modest restaurant in Rome with live piano music, the rooftop terrace at the Hotel Kraft with 360-degree views over Florence, and wandering the interior paths of the Venice islands.

Everything was absolutely perfect. We did not encounter one issue. We plan to return to Italy next year and will use Storywalking again to plan our trip. Everything was so well organized and coordinated. We never had to worry about moving from one city to another. The only change I would make is to tour a Tuscan winery during the day. Ours did not happen until 7pm and it was dark, so we had no views of the winery or Tuscany.

What a great trip and wonderful, expert service. We started this trip (two friends in their 60s) and wanted to do a lot on our own. We didn't want the typical tour bus experience. We told our Storywalking agent what we were thinking and worked with her for a few weeks to plan the trip. The trip involved four hotels (which were excellent, with great locations), a rental car, a train, and only two professional tours where we thought we needed them. Our agent took care of all our crazy questions and made our dream come true. The rental car was a plus. We didn't have to wait for a group to be ready. The hotels were perfect and in perfect locations. The restaurant list was much appreciated. We've had several people comment on our itinerary and we will be steering them to Storywalking. We couldn't have had a better experience. We are so grateful to the team and will look to them for another trip!

Storywalking was exceptional in planning and execution of our trip to Italy. We were impressed with their attention to detail. They all checked in with us each day for imput and to remind us of the next day events and times. The tours were all great. They were very helpful when an airline strike caused a change in plans. They took care of the hotel and transportation to the airport quickly. This gave us “peace of mind”. Their guides were very informative. The drivers, especially Stephano, were professional, helpful, and safe."

Our trip was spectacular. It was incredibly well organized, custom to our preferences, and the entire team was attentive throughout our trip. I couldn't have asked for a better experience with them. Even during the trip when flights were canceled, this team was always available and made necessary transportation changes to keep our trip on track. All of our interactions and tours were an A+. We did everything from rooftop tours, the Vatican, the Colosseum, Wine Country/Small towns outside of Rome. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this wonderful company and will use them again!!!!

"Our 10-day trip to Italy was a breeze to plan and book. I can't speak highly enough about Storywalking and their entire team. Our family just returned from an incredible 10 day journey to Italy and we could not have made it all possible without Arianna's amazing planning and Barbara's constant logistical support once we were there. Arianna worked tirelessly in helping us to plan the perfect trip for our crew of 5 (ranging from 10-48 years). We started in Venice (2d) where we had an exceptional guide named Sarah, then moved on to Lake Como (2d) where Barbara helped us figure out how to work around the only rain we had on the trip, allowing us to catch a later tour with Paulo, our wonderful captain. Our next stop was Cinque Terre, (3d) which was beautiful beyond words and our collective family favorite. We ended our trip in the "Eternal City" of Rome (2d), where we were fortunate enough to have Gioia lead us through both the Coliseum and the Vatican. We were all blown away at the amazing beauty and diverse attractions Italy has to offer! My wife and I were especially impressed with the support app we had access to. It kept us perfectly organized and in constant contact with Barbara, should we need ANYTHING during our stay. Every time, meeting point, document, ticket, hotel, and transportation detail was accounted for and accessible within seconds. Would definitely use Storywalking again and recommend to friends/family. Wow this travel agency was incredible. From the get go they were a really good help. We organised a phone call from Western Australia and after the call we decided how the trip would go. We gave all of our ideas and our budget and then Jessica started our adventure, she let us know from the beginning that the money for the trip bookings were in USD not AUD so it prepared us. Jessica made changes when we asked and did such a great job in making the perfect itinerary for us. We loved what she came up with, from the private tours, to the small group tours to the transportation and hotel organisation.
When we were in Italy and had some issues with transport, the emergency app was always there to help assist us safely to our destination. We also got regular check ups and greetings from the App.I can’t fault this company. Thank you so much for everything! We had the best trip.

Tours/transport: The Liv tours in Rome, Florence, Sorrento and Venice were all so amazing because every one of our tour guides were knowledgeable and from the home town of where the tours took. Their passion for their family and home heritage was just beautiful to see!
We loved our private car trips too! The drivers were so lovely and kind.

Tips: We would probably research the train transport more as it was quite difficult to navigate. Make sure you read the platform numbers and get there early!

We really enjoyed our trip planned by Jessica and her team at Storywalking! Every detail down to the minute was planned for and we really appreciated not having to worry about it. The hotels were great (some were perfectly located and others were just plain gorgeous). The tours were valuable and we loved not having to wait in crazy lines to get in. Lastly, having access to a concierge was invaluable! Barbara was so helpful and checked in on us everyday with reminders and tips!

Going to Southern Italy at the end of the trip was wonderful as it felt like a vacation within in a vacation!

I would probably allow for an extra free day...Europe can be exhausting as there is so much to see, so a free day would have been ideal!

Just following up with a review. 15 months in the making. Arianna did an amazing job with everything. We typically don't use travel agencies or even give reviews, but we rolled the dice and took a gamble with Storywalking. It paid off, our 1st trip to Europe(Italy)was amazing, and from the time we got off the plane, to the time we got back on. Everything was on point. Private transfers, boat rides, train rides, accomadations, tours etc..
If there was anything to point out, it would be our tour guide Claudia in Pompeii. Pompeii was amazing, but our tour guide was an extreme rush towards the end, and she basically was running out from us at the end. Didn't care to take a good picture of us. But no matter what, everything was still perfect and Pompeii was amazing to see!!
We will definitely be using Stoywalking in the future on our next trip to Europe, and would recommend it to anyone and everyone!!

My wife and I had the most incredible honeymoon in Italy thanks to Jessica and team at Storywalking Tours!

In the first consultation call, we got to meet delightful Jessica. She was easy to talk to, and gave us some great recommendations on cities, excursions, and food after hearing our initial thoughts. With some friendly, timely back and forth over phone calls and emails we decided our 11 day trip should start in Lake Como. Then from there, Florence, and finally end our trip in Rome.

In the following weeks we bought our plane tickets on our own (using credit card points), but Jessica and team went straight to work booking hotels based off of our discussions, our private transfers, and all of our excursions. She even sent us over a list of highly rated restaurants, breakfast, and coffee shops for us to review! The whole booking process was extremely easy.

One thing we truly loved was how responsive the team was if we had any questions or concerns during our trip. We did have a point where we couldn’t locate our driver after we got off our train in Florence, but with a quick chat on the app they use, Storywalking lined us up a new driver in a matter of minutes. We also had a last minute request to reserve us a dinner at a restaurant in Bellagio as well as a transfer from the restaurant back to our hotel in Como. Within the hour, it was booked!

Another thing we were truly impressed by was the private transfers to and from everywhere we went (from airport to hotel and back, excursions, etc). All of the drivers we had the privilege of riding with were very knowledgeable, personable, and professional. We also did not know what to expect as far as the type of vehicle we’d be chauffeured around in, but we were pleasantly surprised that they were black, top-of-the-line Mercedes. We felt like royalty!

All of the hotel, food, and excursion recommendations we took Jessica up on were exactly what we envisioned and more. Our excursions included a 3-hour private boat tour on Lake Como (our favorite), several wine tours near Florence (with an amazing driver, Francesco), private pasta and tiramisu making class (our second favorite, lead by Davide at “In Rome Cooking”), the Colosseum and Vatican tour (with delightful Francesca), and a private food tour around the city in Rome.

Though all of our experiences were one for the books, the highlight for me was the private boat tour on Lake Como! In a James Bond-esc wooden boat, we got to pop around some amazing towns along the lake including the infamous Bellagio, and we even got to tour the Villa del Balbianello (which we truly cherished as Star Wars fans ;)!

All-in-all, I had the honeymoon of a lifetime with my new bride, and I cannot thank Jessica and the Storywalking team enough for making the experience one to remember! I wholeheartedly encourage anyone looking to travel to Italy, just make your lives easy and have Storywalking Tours take care of you.

This is Alfredo Vichot writing to you about the fabulous trip that you tailored for us. It was a wonderful experience on all counts. Hotels, selections of villas and drivers were outstanding. The guides were superb. All three gave us a lot of information. Even the free time we had matched perfectly to discover more of Milan and Lake Como.
Valeria picked us on time and talked not only about the Lugano region and sites we visited, but added history and anecdotes which made her a jewel when you put all her knowledge together.
Both Katerina and Barbara gave us an excellent tour touching on certain points of interest and also history. Both spoke with intensity and emotion in their voices proud of their heritage and Italy.
The drivers were courteous and on time. Tino was very good in handling curves and avoiding possible accidents on our way to Monte Bre. I must mention Stefano, who was our driver from Milan to Como and back. He was engaging, pleasant and time flew by fast.
The Hotels were perfect. The Palace Hotel was centrally located--walking distance to the ferry boats piers, Plaza Cavour, restaurants and the Duomo. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast room was outstanding, as well as, the breakfast selections.
The Lancaster hotel was located in a very nice neighborhood. It was clean and the staff was always willing to help. The young man at the front desk in the am, who speaks Spanish, was exceptional. He managed to get us a taxi when an unsuspected taxi strike was declared the morning we were supposed to see The Last Supper. Thanks to him we were able to get there on time. Kudos to him.
The Lancaster hotel was also 20 minutes away through a pleasant walk to the Duomo, going through the Arco, Parco Sempione and the Castello Sforziano. There were excellent restaurants a few blocks away on Corso Sempione. We would definitely will stay again at the Lancaster.
Finally, we would like to thank you for making our vacation an unforgettable experience. We are planning a trip to Puglia in a not so distant future and we hope to enjoy that trip with the same intensity that we enjoyed this adventure.

We loved our May 2024 trip to Italy. The Storywalking team did a great job curating our travel and everything was seamless. The app was easy to use and our tours and accommodations were excellent. Fantastico!!!

The process of using KimKim to find Eirini at Storywalking agency was incredibly easy and seamless. Eirini's knowledge of Italy to book drivers for day trips to Tuscany with a wine tasting and lunch that was outstanding, the Almafi coast car tours to Almafi & Revello along with a seperate day of hiking the path of the gods with a guide (enzo) who grew up in Positano and the best was the boat trip to Capri whit a crew that was fantastic! She picked 2 hotels for us that met our needs - in the center of the towns, clean, AC and king sized beds. While the Hotel Cavour Florence was a good, it paled in comparison to her pick for us in Positano with the Hotel Villa Gabrisa. HVG was bright clean, with fantasic view and staff - can't recommend this hotel enough! We finshed our trip in Rome with a private walking tour with Gioia whose knoweldge of the city's history made these "old building" really come alive with their rich history coming out in her descriptions.

What a wonderful experience! I'd never used a travel agent before and Storywalking made my first trip to Italy amazing. I felt like my trip included the perfect balance between visiting well-known sites and more local, less-traveled spots. The travel partners were great communicators and I'd 100% recommend them to anyone seeking to travel to Italy.

I loved getting to enjoy a "contadina" breakfast at a local vineyard in Frascati. It was such a lovely, slow-paced experience that I'll never forget. The food and company made for a delightful morning.

I would only stay one night in Venice as it was much smaller than the other cities I visited, and I would want to spend more time exploring Florence and the surrounding areas.

Our trip from the Dolomites to Venice was wonderful. We started in Bolzano with a stay at the Goldenstern, which is a very lovely and well situated hotel. After several days we drove to Ortisei in the Val Gardena. We stayed at an apartment within walking distance to all of the activities we wanted. After hiking for three days, and enjoying the wonderful mountains we drove to Padua. Here we stayed in an apartment that was centrally located for our tours. Lara was our guide around the city, she was very knowledgeable, and gave good suggestions for other attractions and restaurants. Our arranged cooking class in the countryside was wonderful - a garden tour, pasta making and chickens. Our next stop was Venice and our bed and breakfast, Cima Rosa, located on the Grand Canal was fantastic - wonderful people, good advice and a very good breakfast. It was great to skip the line for our arranged tour of St Marks and the Doges Palace. Venice is a very walkable city.

I am complicated at times indecisive juggling an array of likes, dislikes and preferences. We had 7 travelers. 2 couples, and ages 22,17,10. Storywalking tours uncomplicated our 11 day trip to Italy. It was amazing!! Truly turned out to be the very best vacation we have ever had. They were patient and so kind through all of my questions and back and forth. Private drivers, private tours, and so much more! The Owner of Storywalking checked on us, responded to questions we had when we were in town too. Barbara was our point of contact while on the trip - she was available, funny and provided even more recommendations when we were in her city! She also made sure we left on time for tours, were in the right spot with the name of our host/hostess and directed us whenever we needed it. She was a blessing!! Erini, was our advisor, she is a saint. Trust me when I say I am indecisive! She made it easy and provided mindful suggestions keeping every person in our party in mind. We will absolutely be reaching out to them when we need to plan our next trip to Italy. We all want to go back ASAP! Do yourself a favor, forget all of the other travel advisors you are speaking to - just jump in and commit to StoryWalking tours. I highly doubt you will have the same experience with others - I know - because I spoke to A LOT of planners before selecting StoryWalking.
