Reliable service and excellent customer support

I have been working with them for over five years, and so far the service has been excellent, especially their customer support. Their applications are also very versatile. I would absolutely recommend them.

Falta total de atención y dominio en peligro / No support, domain at risk due to negligence

Strato ha gestionado de forma negligente la renovación de nuestro dominio. Pagamos a tiempo, avisamos de la urgencia y no hicieron nada. Ahora nuestro dominio aparece como “disponible” en su web, cuando legalmente aún era nuestro. Cero asistencia, cero responsabilidad. Muy decepcionante e indignante / Strato handled our domain renewal terribly. We paid immediately, explained the urgency, and they did nothing. Now our domain is listed as "available" on their own site while it’s still legally ours. No help, no accountability. Very disappointing experience.

Strato has no problem blowing up your server

I started with strato.de recommending a VPS to a customer. We were happy, but their business did not succeed. I inherited the server and wanted to do all the paperwork to change it to my company. It was strato.ES at that time. They messed with contact and account numbers. My bank information was disclosed to an unfortunate third company, and I got theirs in turn. Strato did not offer any compensation.
The server is self-managed, I installed Ubuntu OS and created a LAMP system. There were different applications rolling and gathering information. To my surprise, that unfair company (strato), reinstalled the OS, in another language (everybody knows that "En España se habla español y punto"), blew all the databases with tens of millions of samples, blew all the applications, replaced the management system and all the web pages. DON'T USE STRATO AT ALL. They only care about money. LET THEM DIE ALONE. There are other European companies offering respect and support.

Hola, gracias por compartir su opinión. Lamentamos los malentendidos que se han podido ocasionar. Como ya sabe los servidores son autogestionados, por lo tanto cualquier configuración, actualización de sistema operativo, etc, también las lleva a cabo el usuario.
Con respeto al idioma, en informática el idioma por excelencia es el ingles, por otro lado, es libre de modificar el idioma según sus necesidades.
En relación al cambio de datos del perfil, los compañeros de atención al cliente, no han encontrado ningun contacto con nosotros por su parte a lo largo de este año.
Le rogamos que, por cualquier incidencia o duda, nos contacte via telefonica.

Poor service experience with Strato on…

Poor service experience with Strato on strato.es . I subscribed to their service in September, unaware that it required advanced technical skills. I struggled to configure the server and Plesk, and the dashboard didn't match the documentation snapshots. Despite canceling the subscription, they continue to insist on issuing invoices for a service I no longer use, attempting to charge me for a service I've already quit.

Horrible Experience – Incompetent Support and Endless Waiting

We had an issue with our server and decided to restore it using Strato's automated backup system. It’s now been stuck in “restoring” status for over 3 days, and nothing has been fixed.

We’ve reached out to support multiple times through various channels, and all we get is, “We’re reviewing it.” No updates, no ETA, and definitely no resolution.

This is beyond frustrating — we’ve never experienced such pathetic support from any provider. If you value your time, data, or customers, look elsewhere. Strato clearly doesn’t care about urgent issues or client communication.

I never, never had so bad experience with a hosting provider. Al week have at least one problem, the contact service is slow and a full disaster. So, you have problems and you are alone.

También quiero recordarle que si la incidencia que está experimentando se genera en un programa externo a Strato (Wordpress, Drupal, Joomla, etc.), nuestro equipo de atención al cliente, hará lo posible para aconsejarle y para buscar información que le sea útil.
Sin embargo, ya que estos son programas externos a Strato, nuestro equipo no podrá solucionar el problema por usted, puesto que son programas de terceros y no podemos gestionarlos.
Los paquetes de hosting le dan la posibilidad de crear proyectos web profesionales, donde usted tiene libertad de decidir el programa con el cual crear su propio proyecto web, por esta razón la gestión del mismo es responsabilidad del cliente o de sus técnicos.
Por otro lado, Strato propone paquetes donde la asistencia de nuestro equipo de atención al cliente es completa, y contempla también la atención técnica en la creación de su proyecto web.
Estos son los paquetes "Tu Web" y "Tienda Online", donde el programa (Editor web) para crear su proyecto está gestionado por Strato, por lo tanto, nuestro equipo de atención al cliente, también se ocupa de explicarle como utilizarlo y en caso de incidencias, también se ocupa de solucionarlas.
Quedamos a la espera de más información para poder contactarle y ayudarle.

I have a bad experience with Strato…

I have a bad experience with Strato Spain. I contracted 3 domain names, they send me an e-mail which I had to confirm, but which I had not confirmed because I forgot. A few months later when I needed the domain name I couldn't confirm anymore. There was a phone nummer in that first e-mail which I should dial if I had any problems. When I dialed the number there was a vm saying that I had to use an online contactform. It was difficult to locate and then I had to fill in my customer number, but I did not have one yet, because my order was not confirmed. It was a big big problem to get a hold of them. I had to send many documents (like a copy of my passport) over and over again. They approached me by mail, I answered by mail every time sending new documents and after I had sent everything they asked me send it again through the customer contact form on their website. The problem has been solved, the 3 domain names are now registerd. Horror!!

Strato responded at my review. They requested my customer number so they could look into the case. See down below their respons. There is no introspection. No comment on their own way of acting. This is exactly how a good company differentiates itself from a mediocre company.

I do not recommend!!!

Worst hosting company ever. I have worked with them for over 3 years. I had domain names and servers.
The server is working very badly, technical support is not responding.
Domain names are very difficult to transfer to another registrar, and even if you transfer them, Strato still charges for another year.
I do not recommend!!!

Avoid using this domain registrar for…

Avoid using this domain registrar for .es domains. The main office is in Berlin and once you order you'll have to pay for 24 months. You will also have no access to change the nameservers. I use cloudflare and rocket.net and it was impossible to set up my website.

One of the worst hosting/registrars I…

One of the worst hosting/registrars I have ever used. I have transfered all my domains away. I had random charges for products I didn't have. There was no way to remove my credit card, so I had to wait until the card expired. There is no control over your account. I am still waiting for refunds from 6 months ago when I registered a domain, the domain was not registered after 2 weeks forcing me to register elsewhere. They took the money anyway. The support is utterly useless and does not and will not help.

I have just had a dept collecting …

I have just had a dept collecting company knock on my door for 5 euros!!!!!!! Because I purchased a domain with Strato.es that had an automatical renewal for the second year.

I purchase a domain which I never used with an email account I rarely use. This morning I get a knock on my door by a company called intrum justitia. Regarding the second year payment on a domain purchased with strato.es which has never been used and my account with them was cancelled before the renewal date.

Looking at the offer they are making it is nothing more than a scam to collect money from people that regularly purchase domains. Do not use this company.

When I called them the customer service was arrogant and condescending. It was obvious that all they do all day is take calls from poor hard working people which they have scammed.

Shame on them.
