International Students please flee from Studapart!! it's a no no and should be avoided at all cost! Indeed they provide clean but repainted apartments, poorly renovated, built and managed, that turns horrible once you move in, you know you have been scammed. Studapart must learn to support their clients after we have paid agency fees, you just take agency fees and disappear, totally cutting off communication from the tenant, leaving us in the hands of an horrible agency that on a normal day, I'll never use them if I saw them on leboncoin, which was why I came through studapart, thinking I'd get some form of trusted support but no this was not the case!!
They partner with horrible agencies that target vulnerable international students to rip them off with agency fees, I paid 350 to studapart and 250 to the housing agency in charge of the apartment, 600 euros, yet the apartment was very horrible with sweating cold, smelly mold walls during winter, very poor management with a high mold breeding room with black walls, unsafe environment to go out early to work and very unclean neighbors who got the apartment on Leboncoin on a cheaper agency rate plus living in twos making it more cheaper with no value, so definitely do not understand the value of living in a clean and quiet environment when sharing common spaces or washing machines! Let alone, the day when I was almost attacked one morning to work as buses stopped running in that commune! How can you pay 600 every month but yet can't have peace in the apartment or when going to work, not to talk of the non sound proof walls where you have to deal with neighbors that are very loud during s**!! Or turn on their wake up alarms from 4am to noon but yet wouldn't go to work nor school but just to disturb others. You will hear all sort of sounds from the next studios every minute. Not to talk of the comportment of the staff of this agency, very rude, unprofessional and always badge into your apartment when you are not in without your consent. I'm highly disappointed with studapart to partner with this kind of agency just to get agency fees and deliver poorly renovated building. I never had peace in this apartment. Studapart should be avoided at all cost! Studapart will also ask you to leave a review when you have just moved in, make sure you have lived in the apartment for sometime before leaving a review because their apartments are usually covered up with paints that starts to wash off in molds once you start living there. If you are a student and want to live in a quiet and conducive environment to enable you study in peace or work in peace, do not use studapart! They don't care about the safety of their tenants. They will link you up with horrible agencies and landlords. Also make sure to visit the apartments before paying. Such a scam and dishonest company!

I only write now even though the process for my daughter is not complete, but mostly complete. I've read through many other reviews and I think we must be a totally different category. My daughter was accepted into her masters of science at EM Lyon, and so I can only comment on my experience in using Studapart, to get her placed to live in Lyon, the people that we have been on the phone with and through messages have tried really hard, and I would consider every one of them top-notch. In fact after finding us a place to live, and I was sitting here trying to figure out how to satisfy the landlords insurance requirements.---along comes an email from Studapart, telling me how to get home insurance or renters insurance from them!! What a Godsend!! I do think, and this is only for a very narrow part of your business, that it would be better if there was someway to target foreigners of your country, like me a US citizen in a more streamline way to understand the process. I would've been happy to pay more for someone to handle this from the very beginning rather than me learning some of the unusual rules that pertain to each country. My daughter will be in France and I had to go through a very different situation for my son, who is at graduate school in the Netherlands. All that is OK and made better by the fact that when I had to speak to people or when they call, they were extra extraordinary, polite, and helpful with finding my daughter, a place to live. For example, there are certain places that only rent for six months, and if we had been told upfront that even though she is arriving in August, we had to rent the place from July on I would've been more than happy to. Also, while it is not your responsibility to figure out the visa process for me and my daughter, it would've been nice to know some things about when to try to get it. I think you might want to set up a certain part of your website design for people like me to streamline and make it easier. I also think you might wanna offer a premium product where people like me would pay you more to get on the phone and get consulted about this with an English speaking person at the very beginning to set expectations with somebody who knows every little part about renting for the first six months or so that we have to be in this part of France. But be that as it may, I am very pleased and happy with Studapart!

Hidden charges were never mentioned before signing the contract with the residence on the Studapart platform. After paying over €1,000, they asked to buy Studapart Guarantor which was not required earlier and then the contract was unexpectedly changed from 6 months to 3 and then emails went unanswered. The process was rigid, unconsidered and not at all friendly for international students.

Not recommend. Extremely high fees for no help. Landlord are scammers. Always find a way to charge for something extra. Untrue information on the listings. For example room 11m which was actually 9m. Studapart did not acknowledge any problem with that.

I've been living in the studio for 3 years now. It was great so find the right place just a few minutes from the university and be sure it was not a scam. The contact with the owner was through the platform and the description matched exactly the reality of the studio. I could not be happier. When you're a student in France is almost impossible to rent a place just for yourself without a guarantor so Studapart provide this confidence to owners to rent the places. I also took the insurance. Totally recommended.

Me and my partner have been looking for a while through various platforms for a place for 6 months rent in the south of France area, and have visited our dream place through studapart. We had a slight worry when the owner switched the move in date by a day but it wasn’t changed on the platform, so we contacted Tara from customer support and she was truly responsive and a great help through the process of resolving the issue, I believe within 3 days everything was settled!
Really felt reassured that we wouldn’t be ghosted in case of a problem, also after reading some negative reviews here.
So far so good!
Thank you :)

At first, the database seems well organised with a lot of good opportunities, but when you put filters on, they won't show you apartments/rooms within the criteria and you end up by seearching everything manually by yourself.
After you register they ask you if you want to scehdule a call where they try to sell you a "premium" mebership, offering to be your garantor (actually helpful) + advisory during the apartment search. They basically tell you that they can help and send you a lot of opportunities.
After I paid for it (250€), of course I started messaging them with my filters asking for help. The result was that I received 1 reply with a few rooms and none of them was actually within the criteria (from my researches, there were). After that, nothing more, even after multiple follow up to different "advisors". They also charge high agency fees also for 2/3 months.
I don't think the universities they collaborate with, would be really happy to hear they treat their students in this way.

Terrible. After inputing the research criteria it still shows accomodations which are not within said criteria. Waste of time.

I had a very disappointing experience with the Studapart platform (which I found through an advert on the website of the university where I am going to study). Studapart very heavily advertised a ‘guaranteed profile’ which cost me 459 eur and the fee for which is non-refundable even if you don't find accommodation through Studapart. After paying the fee, I was left with the same database of accommodation available for free and no additional support in finding accommodation from the service. In addition, I had a negative experience of scheduling a call with a Studapart representative (I was not called back at the appointed time when I booked through the site, and only managed to get through after persistent correspondence). The database of individual apartments in Paris on the Studapart platform is very limited and the prices are inflated compared to the market. As a result, I had to search for accommodation in parallel through other sources (through Selonger) and finally opened a guarantee with another guarantor (Garantme), which is much better known/accepted in France and where, unlike Studapart, you don't have to pay for the guarantee at the time of approval, but only when it is activated (i.e. when you find an accomodation and sign the lease using the guarantee), meaning you get the same ‘guaranteed profile’, but for free. And for a small fee (EUR 24) I got a personal assistance from Garantme, including sending me apartments' options according to my criteria. As result, I was able to find an apartment and sign a lease agreement in app. one week (through a real-estate agency – one of many partners of Garantme), also the booking fee of the agency (about EUR 260) was much lower comparing to booking fees of Studapart. An incomparable experience compared to Studapart, which I would never recommend - extremely limited choice of apartments in Paris, overprices, not client oriented. And I especially don't recommend opening a guaranteed profile unless you have found an accommodation through them and are going to sign a lease agreement through this platform, otherwise it could be lost money for you, as in my case. If you have an option, avoid using Studapart!

Not helpful at all! It's taking me literal months to get my security deposit back. They kept charging me after I moved out for insurance. They are impossible to get in contact with and I've been talking to one person who responds once every other day with little to no help with the situation I'm seeking help on! Rent or go through anywhere else if you could! - A study abroad college student

This website is a nightmare!
Using Studapart has been an incredibly frustrating experience. Here are the main issues I encountered:
• It’s unfair that I can’t send a direct message to the landlord.
• It’s unfair that the number of characters in the application is so limited.
• It’s unfair to be judged solely based on documents and numbers, without any personal interaction.
On top of that, I spent time carefully crafting an application, only to have it completely erased because I entered a duration of 4 months while the apartment is listed for 3 months and 30 days. This forced me to start over from scratch, including rewriting the message!
To make matters worse, the pre-written messages Studapart sends out are completely irrelevant to my request and the specific challenges I’m facing.
The entire process feels impersonal, inefficient, and needlessly complicated.

We were able to find a nice apartment that suits our needs, remotely from the Netherlands.
Unfortunately our first application to an apartment was not so successful; we were basically ghosted despite several messages asking about availability and information. After a while, we got a message saying that the apartment was rented out, which was quite strange since we had tried to contact the landlord (a company) often. From my limited experience, my advice would be to search for an apartment from an individual landlord, and to avoid companies on this website. While this was going on, I tried to call Studapart. I think this is something that Studapart can really improve on; when I called I heard a fully French-spoken selection menu. Of course, I understand that French is the main language since I am calling a French company, on a French phone number, but for a company that targets foreigners as much as French nationals, I would have expected at least an option of "press X for English". I was not able to get in contact with anyone by telephone.
A big positive: the Studapart guarantee was fantastic, since other French guarantors strangely did not accept official documents due to (quite conventional) Dutch formatting of the documents.
In the end we are quite happy with the service that Studapart provided; the website is clear and it's easy to search and filter based on your needs.

run from this company, they are scammers and do not follow the current legislation. My landlord is required to fix malfunctions in the household equipment and studapart is advising him deduce the cost from my deposit even though the malfunction was not caused by the tenant and under the tenent's law the landlord is responsible for this king of replacement. I had to contact adil as studapart was not following the law.
