Yell at them to make them do their…

Yell at them to make them do their jobs. My WiFi had been horrible for months before I called for help. After 7 weeks of me constantly calling and trying to follow up, I finally snapped and yelled at them. They resolved it in like a week. Didn’t need 7. Just a few days. So basically they were waiting for me to forget about it so they wouldn’t have to do their jobs. Seriously, just yell from the start. If I did, I probably wouldn’t have wasted so much time. They had so many ways to help me after the yelling. They can boost the speed, reboot everything, give you a hidden network, or install a hotspot in your room. So they were just lazy.

Drops all the time

The WiFi isn't consistent at all - constantly drops connection, sometimes for a few seconds, sometimes for an hour or so. Tried paying for the better service but there was basically no difference. The speed isn't terrible once you're connected but it's extremely unreliable. Online gaming must be impossible, I can barely keep up a consistent Skype call. Tried contacting them and they said it was probably an issue with the device I was using, which can't be the problem as I have this issue on every device I use and so do my flatmates. If you can, use another wifi service.

Poor service. Phone numbers don't work

Poor service, doesn't even work half the time and when it does work there is an average ping of around 500ms for some unknown reason. There complaints phone number doesn't seem to work at all. They call security flaws a feature. If it was up to me I would never use them.

Don't bother with StudentCom

Never ending wifi problem slow etc etc contacted them several times and was never useful, problem still not resolved.

No customer service whatsoever and honestly really gives the impression they dont care, they seem follow some kind of flow chart according to what you say and dont actually have any useful constructive inputs. I would give -100000 do this crappy company.

Horrible service !!

Horrible network provider for students. Internet is always very slow despite the phone calls and complaints. All they do is tell you to do the speedtest (which actually has got nothing to do with the problem) and gives you such silly ways to fix the problem (e.g. you need to update software of you laptop). Like seriously? They keep on blaming you when the issue is actually their network service, and it seems I'm not the only one having internet issues, what a bunch of jokers !

Very poor service

Having been using Studentcom for one year at one campus and then for another year at another campus both times they have been of very little use. After contacting them they said at the first campus that they were unable to resolve the issue. In my second campus they blamed the distance from the router however this is untrue because the router turned out to be right next door to my room!

The connection at the best of time has always been slow and during peak times unusable even resulting me being chucked off the router!
