Linh Chi Excellent Customer Service and after sale process.

Excellent Customer Service and after sale process.
Student Flight and Linh Chi from Parramatta Branch (NSW) has been fantastic.

We had a group Booking for two families ( 10 People) to go on the 6/4/2020 to Japan and South Korea.

We booked from the previous year with all Flights, JR pass paid and confirmed.

As everyone may know it has been Chaotic and unpredictable time for 2020.

We weren't sure if we could go as the Flight date got closer, and the uncertainty of the virus and its effect on the travel.

Linh would constantly update us on the situation and provide details of what she and Student flight can help with.

With the Travel Ban and Quarantine we were unable to Travel, and had to cancel the flights and JR pass.

She would Liaise with the Airline and JR pass retailer on our behalf and got our refunds processed.

We will definitely re-book with Student flight and Linh when things settle down.

Cannot recommend enough

Taylor Mercer was my travel consultant from the Westfield Whitford City branch, and I cannot thank her enough for what she did for me and my travel plans.
Despite never meeting her and only emailing, she managed to change so many flights for me when my original plans fell through and did it at the lowest possible flight. She honestly saved my trip more than once. Thank you, Taylor, I can't wait to use your services again.

Avoid at all costs!!!

Never, ever, ever book through here. I should have done my research on these guys first. If you have any wits about you, you'll avoid it.
Not only was I double charged for pretty much everything, not given a fare option on flights, information not processed properly, almost left completely stranded at the airport when they failed to do bookings properly for rental car, etc., the customer service when dealing with complaints is utterly disgusting.
When I told customer relations that I would wait in store until the manager handling the case spoke to me, I was told I would have security remove me for "making threats". I was told I cannot contact said manager at all, they refused to give me any contact details whatsoever, refused to transfer me to him and told there is absolutely not another person I can speak to other than the idiot who said sitting in the store and waiting was a threat. I hadn't raised my voice, yelled, sworn, simply said I'd wait in store for the manager to speak to me, as I was told he was just "unavailable at that moment". I was told there was "no proof" I had been overcharged, despite having receipts. I was told the manager would not be able to speak to me at all during the process of the investigation, only when there was a conclusion. When I challenged this and said I would like to update my complaint to include the poor customer service provided by the team, I was told again to simply wait and I still would not be able to talk to him whatsoever.

Buyer beware. This place is a rip off with no morals, a bad attitude when they're not siphoning money out of you. Positively criminal behaviour.

Student Flights Chadstone

Well Student Flights, usually I like to be wined and dined before I get f***ed. My friend and I booked our NZ trip with you, and were informed by our travel agent, to our surprise, that we could rent a car. We didn't think we could, as we're both on probationary licenses. However, we were assured that this wouldn't be a problem. I went into the Chadstone store again, to double-check, as I was quite anxious about renting the car. Once again, my worries were sated, after they assured me that we would be able to rent a car. I even contacted them via email, and for the third time, was assured that we could rent the vehicle. We arrived at Queenstown airport at 6am, went to pick up our car after an exhausting flight, and were denied due to our probationary licenses. We had already pre-paid the car, so we were short financially, and our trip was practically ruined, as we had already made multiple bookings at destinations where we would only be able to travel to in a timely manner by car. Extremely disappointed and shocked at the complacency of the staff who obviously did not check, as on the rental car company's page, it clearly says under FAQ's that they do not rent vehicles to those on restricted on probationary licenses. Absolutely appalled and will never be recommending this company again.

Alongside the other one star reviews I …

Alongside the other one star reviews I reiterate the same experience as Nicky. They ignored my request and did not listen to what I asked for. I have ended up on the flight i didn't request, yet they claim that I accepted it. I did not and did not sign an invoice. I did pay for the flights because I assumed we were actually communicating about my request.

Very bad service with no accountability - instead they say they can offer what I had originally requested but I'll have to pay more including cancellation fees for the original flight that was their mistake and for which I didn't sign any legal agreement.

The people who work there answer every question as if from a script - they did not listen at all to what I was asking for. Then as if to add insult to injury continuously sent annoying texts and phone calls badgering me to pay which I did to stop the calls.

Please do not go through them ever as they have no moral compass or awareness of good service.

Great Experience!

Great experience with these guys. I'm a uni student on a tight budget. I was less than a month away from my ideal departure date for a trip to the USA during their peak season. I looked down and out with prices on other websites rising by the second. Student Flights saved me by finding me some flights that were exactly within my timeline and under budget as well! Just returned from my trip and everything went perfectly smooth and according to plan. Would recommend to any young person or university student wanting to travel anywhere in the world. Make use of it while you can, it's great service! Will be doing this again for sure. I can't thank them enough!

Not a good experience

Not a good experience. I was promised delivery of documents in an hour. (Why the delay for a simple return flight??). It took three days two emails and a phone call to get the emailed documents I paid cash up front for. No replies to the emails either. Do yourself a favour and book online yourself

I will never book through student …

I will never book through student flights ever again. We were handed itinerary for a Split to Split Croatia Sail and agreed to that booking. Our travel agent Sam Northcott put us on a completely different sail that we had never heard of. After advising student flights of this error they told us they we were in the wrong and would only offer a partial refund. This is despite the fact that we had complete evidence of their mistake.
Book through any other travel agent besides this lot. They are incompetent from the bottom to the top. The employees are too busy telling the customers about their own travel experiences than creating great experiences for their customers. Thank you for ruining the highlight of our trip.

Scam. Misleading. False Advertising. Incompetent Staff. Go to STA instead!

Go to STA Travel instead. They have the same prices, and a much better system

I never leave reviews for anything, but after the hellish experience I went through here, I had to let other people know.

After booking a return flight from Syd to LAX, the girls working with me (Sophie from Town Hall) consistently got everything wrong right from the start. Advertised prices were $899 return. This doesn't include a $100 'booking fee' which is not mentioned in the advertisement. Whatever though, I wanted to get the flights booked. From there it was utter hell. Everything that she could get wrong, she did. She sent me through about 6 different emails with dates that were wrong, my name was spelt wrong. EVERYTHING. It cannot be that hard to get listen to a customers name and dates and enter it in to a booking system.

And most important why you should NEVER use Student Flight: When they sent you an email to confirm your flight dates, you are taken to a seperate internet portal which you cannot access again once you click 'Confirm'. This is very important because as soon as I clicked confirm, she sent me the flight confirmation and the dates were WRONG. She had the audacity to try and charge me a $300 change of date fee, when I could not even go into the original email to check if I had actually agreed to the wrong dates like she claimed I dis. Trust me, when you are dropping $1K on flights you do NOT mistake the dates. Even if I had accidently not checked - it was about the 7th email she had sent as something was wrong in literally every email.

I don't know if it was Sophie's fault specifically (although I assume it largely was) or whether it was just a poorly developed booking system, but holy hell this could not have been a worse experience.

The Student Flights prices are NOT as advertised. Booking it through them cost me more money than if i'd just purchased from the airline itself.

I recently booked another flight with STA travel and the experience was wonderful and flawless, cheaper price (advertised correctly!) and left me trysting travel agents again :) Student Flights system is ultimately flawed

Student flight centre utterly dismissive and unhelpful

I bought a ticket to visit my family in South America in November 2016.
For debilitating health impediment, I could not take the flight. I have presented 3 medical certificates that merits my absolutely unfitness to fly and pursue a change of flight or refund Moreover the manager of flight centre in Collingwood, Melbourne had Impeded to pursue refund or changes of flights pointing fingers to LAN to not finding resolution.
Dragging the case over a month. I have presented 3 medical certificates and still until today his relentless dismissiveness and insensitivity has goes beyond my understanding.
The manager has not been in contact as it need it making my condition worst as I added stresses and discomfort.
I am appealed by the lack of humanity and sensibility of this agency to deal with a fragile health condition and imposing its own business agenda.
I suggest you to look further than this shop for a genuine and reliable attention to customer as business should be. Flying should be a relaxing and enjoyable time, it hasn't been for me indeed.

Don't Even Bother

If you book with student flights remember to be specific with your destination - this is what they told me to do when instead of booking a hostel in Amsterdam we got a hotel in Haarlem. I mean typically the destination isn't negotiable but this is the kind of service you have to look forward to if you choose student flights.

Originally I dealt with the Macquarie University Branch, where the whole wrong city mistake happened. The switch over was very poorly managed. When I raised my concerns to the Hornsby Branch they were less than helpful and abrupt. Also on a free flight change they snuck on $850 worth of insurance with no discussion - were you just hoping I wouldn't notice the increase from $0 to $850. Also no acknowledgement of the mistake at all.

The icing on the cake was when trying to extend a hostel booking by a single night they quoted about $50 more than the price advertised on the hostels website, booked directly through the hostel who amended the booking and saved about $150.

If you are considering travelling great, but use literally any other travel agent.

Student Flights review

I had an appointment to meet with my travel agent to collect my finals documents for my travel. However, when I arrived at my appointment I was told that my travel agent had resigned and I had not been notified. There was no way for the other travel agents to know the clients of the resigned employee and therefore things may have been missed. However, another travel agent was able to help me finalise my travel arrangements.
