This agency took over $4,000 from me…
This agency took over $4,000 from me starting in October 2024 for website development and digital marketing. I received no website updates, no drafts, and no deliverables. I was bounced between multiple team members, asked to repeat the same steps, and ultimately told to pay more for a new hosting service that they benefit from.
When I asked for a payment breakdown or progress, they stopped responding.
Avoid this company at all costs. It’s a scam targeting small business owners and licensed professionals. I’m pursuing legal action and reporting them to every agency I can.

This agency took over $4,000 from me, and now their lawyer is threatening me for telling the truth.
I hired Student Marketing Agency in October 2024 for website development and digital marketing. Over several months, I paid more than $4,000 I received no completed drafts, NO website design, or NO deliverables. Despite repeated requests, I was given excuses and asked to repeat the same steps with multiple team members. Eventually, I was told to pay even more for a new hosting platform they preferred — and then communication ceased.
I asked for a full refund. They offered a partial refund of $1,200, which I declined. I then submitted complaints to the BBB, Trustpilot, and American Express.
In response, their attorney sent me a cease and desist letter, threatening legal action unless I remove my review — simply for sharing my honest and documented experience. This is not just unethical; it's a clear attempt to silence consumer feedback.
I have extensive documentation: email threads, payment receipts, screenshots, phone logs, and evidence showing that no work was completed. The threats from their lawyer, instead of resolving the issue, have made it clear they care more about optics than accountability.
⚠️ Avoid this company. They target small business owners with lofty promises, underdeliver, and retaliate when held accountable.
I’m standing by my review. I have a First Amendment right to tell the truth, and I encourage others to speak up. I am actively pursuing this through formal legal and consumer protection channels.
