Great company!

Submagic and their team are the best!

Im a user on submagic and i use it daily for my videos, flawlessly. In the rare cases that i had a problem through the year (2 or 3 times), the people from the support team were always there and helped me. I got solutions in under 10 minutes! They're the best!

First time usage

Hey guys, you are doing really great. I really like your product, it makes video editing really smooth, especially with cpations and b-rolls. There is one small point i would like to add, that might improve UX, it's about safari usage. There is some issue with preview uploaded video in safari (screen became black and no audio), but in chrome it works good!
The other thing that i feel like will be nice to have is an opportuinity to chenge specific word color, because in some captions styles - there is option to change onlye primary/secondary and so on colors, but not color of some specific word or i just missed that point. Anyway, product is great overall, simple to use (i figured out like in 15 minutes to use it) and cover all my requests that i was looking for

Great app for video editing, but customer support could be better

I’ve used Submagic for about 7 videos now (both on the standard and pro plan), and overall, the app is excellent. It’s simple, intuitive, and delivers high-quality results. I especially love the Alex Hormozi-style captions & pro stock videos. They make it easy to create that kind of engaging video instantly.

The downside is on the customer service and subscription side. Upgrades to a higher plan happen instantly, but cancellations and refunds can be much slower, and in some cases, the cancellation option isn’t available if there are payment or subscription issues.

When I finally connected with Mohammad, he was very helpful, listened carefully, resolved my complicated issue, and instantly processed my refund. My advice: try to get in touch with a specific representative if you need help.

Overall, the app itself is fantastic. If they improved responsiveness in customer service and streamlined the cancellation/refund process, it would be near perfect.

Terrible experience, customer service, and refund policy

I don’t usually leave these kinds of reviews, but this experience was bad enough that I feel like people should be warned before wasting their money.

I signed up for Submagic’s Pro plan because I specifically needed a few of the features. I uploaded one single video just to test them and immediately realized the product doesn’t work the way they lead you to believe. It was basically useless for what I needed.

I asked for a refund right away, since all I did was upload one file (no edits, no exports, nothing). Their response? No refunds, because apparently just uploading your own video locks you into paying full price.

That’s a pretty shady policy. If you’re considering signing up, know that once you even test it, your money is gone.

Terrible experience, customer service, and refund policy

I'm not one to leave bad reviews, but I felt the need to leave this one for anyone considering trying the product to see if they like it.

I signed up for submagic with the most expensive plan option because I needed a few specific features. I uploaded one video to test it out the features and realized the product did not work as I was lead on to believe. I then immediately asked for a refund since all I did was upload 1 file (didn't even edit or export anything) and they said they don't offer refunds since I uploaded my own video to the account.

EDIT: After posting this review and going back and forth with their customer support they decided to make an "exception" and give me the refund.

Adjusted from 1 to 2 stars and thought I'd give updated context.

I've been editing for over a decade and love the caption generation and editing features on Submagic. Super easy and honestly, fun to use! But that's not the reason for my review.

I was dealing with some technical issues. Their team quickly and effectively helped me through the problem. I'll be using Submagic exclusively from here on out.

Beware: no refunds of any kinds. Scammers!!

Paid for the lowest paid plan. I didn't like the app, and decided to cancel and get a refund less than an hour later after being charged. Beware: they don't do refunds of any kind. Stay away from these crooks.
