My salesman was awesome

My salesman was awesome, and I left the store looking forward to taking my new glasses on my trip overseas. The very next day I left the state and had a medical issue that caused loss of sight in one eye. My first issue was to take care of myself, not return the glasses within the 30-day return period. I've been made aware I will never be able wear these beautiful sunglasses. I wrote several times asking if they would still consider allowing me to return them. The glasses have never been worn, they are still in the original box, and I do have the receipt. I'm very disappointed that after sending 3 letters and 2 emails to the Sunglass Hut Official Customer Service Center, with a promise of someone responding within a specific period, I have yet to hear from them. Very POOR Customer Care on that end.

I've spent a lot of money here, but NEVER again!

I bought an expensive (nearly $400) pair of sunglasses from the 755 Broadway (NY) store a couple of year ago.

Recently, the one lens cracked and when I went to the store I was told that I could order a replacement set of lenses and they would replace them. I needed a little time to take care of other expenses, so I came back to the store 10 days later.

Big mistake.

When I went to the store yesterday, the two employees were nice enough but neither regularly works from this store. The problem? That if I ordered the replacement lenses from them, I'd have to travel to whichever store is their usual workplace. That was not acceptable to me, so they suggested I come back today.

This morning, I went to the store a few minutes after what is supposed to be the opening time and waited for nearly 15 minutes.

Also waiting was a young woman who apparently works in the store. When I started to explain my problem and how upset I am at not being able to get my most expensive pair of sunglasses repaired, she made it clear she did not care and started typing away on her phone. That's when I left.

I will NEVER buy anything from Sunglass Hut again, and I will make sure everyone I know is made aware of how I was treated and how I have to throw out a $400 pair of sunglasses in otherwise good condition because I refuse to keep running back and begging for help!

I may have lost $400, but I will take it out in warning everyone I know (as well as on Yelp and social media) about how rudely I've been treated.

Exceptional Service at Sunglass Hut in Hanes Mall, Winston-Salem

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Sunglass Hut at Hanes Mall in Winston Salem, North Carolina, where I received exceptional service from Audrianna. From the moment I walked in, Audrianna went above and beyond to assist me in finding the perfect pair of sunglasses. She patiently listened to my preferences and expertly guided me through their selection, ensuring I found the ideal pair for driving. Audrianna's knowledge, professionalism, and genuine care made the whole experience enjoyable. I also appreciate her assistance in signing up for the loyalty program and providing additional protection coverage. I'm incredibly satisfied with my purchase and look forward to returning to Sunglass Hut for future needs, knowing I'll receive the same outstanding service. Thank you, Audrianna, for making my visit truly memorable!.

scratch! You caused it!

Actually one star is too much,

Very similar story to story of Mary Yacud in 2/1/2020. And 2 other people with similar experience.
I live in manhasset and the store was sunglass hut
Within Macy’s at Garden city Roosevelt Field mall in Garden city.

I purchase the Rayban on 12/30, I purchased with knowing that I had very similar sunglasses at home. I didn’t even open the case again until 2/15
When I finally decided to try new Rayban, it was Nearly identical to my old one. On 2/16, I decided to bring it back( since it was almost identical). THEY SAY THE GLASSES HAD A SCRATCH, which I did not even used the sunglasses since the purchase. They showed me the scratch under the bright fluorescent light in the store. The scratch you can’t even see with the naked eye.
Trust me, I’m not writing this because I have nothing to do, I, just like other people in this blog, I needed to tell some one that Sunglass Hut done me wrong and something unfair!. Worse, one of the employees was sarcastically laughing at me through out my conversation with the manager( Jessica). I felt that she was enjoying the scene and gave me an impression that I wasn’t the first and only one with this kind of problem. If there was a scratch, it came this the purchase. I didn’t cause the scratch!...I know what I did and I didn’t cause the scratch. It was such a terrible experience.
So unfair they use 2 different standards for selling and refunding the item.
1-they just sell you item with the promise of 90 day refund policy. NO WARNING about examining the item for possible scratches before the actual purchase. (this is the Pre-purchase procedure).
2-they examine the sunglasses like a diamond.
Clean with cleaning solution several times, reflect in the ceiling light, and really carefully scrutinizing the item which I was never given the same chance to do before the purchase.-(this is their post- purchase procedure).

Very unfair.
Don’t deal with these people ( Sunglass Hut) unless you know for sure that you don’t need to return the item 100%
I wasn’t surprised that this happened to other people at elsewhere with Sunglass Hut.
Negative star for Sunglass Hut if there is such thing.
By nature of my profession, I know many people andI’ll will be telling this story whenever I can.
