Sloppy workmanship and faults.

I had them on to remove spray foam which they did ok. They then reinsulated the loft. It looks untidy. The foil blanket they installed under the rafters has gaps along the joints and pipes and tears. I phoned on several occasions and at first was told someone would call
No one did. I have written two formal complaint letters, the last by registered mail. I have heard nothing from them. I am now taking the matter further. They seem to be unreliable to say the least.

Everything was great overall

Everything was great overall — the product works exactly as expected.. The only downside was the waiting time for the installation. It took a bit longer than planned, but once it was finally done, everything ran smoothly. I’m happy with the result, just wish the process had been a bit faster

Disgraceful behaviour

Disgraceful behaviour – targeted my recently bereaved, vulnerable mother

I am absolutely appalled by the way Sunlight Solar treated my elderly mother. Just after my father passed away, a representative came to her home on April 23rd and pressured her into signing a deal to remove loft insulation. She clearly told them she was vulnerable and grieving, but they still pushed her, saying the "special offer" was only valid that day. She felt intimidated and confused — and paid a deposit she never should have.

The very next day, she realised the mistake and put the cancellation in writing. She was told the refund would come within 14 days. Since then, we've been chasing — and the experience has gone from bad to worse.

When I phoned on her behalf, I was told someone needed to come to her house to give the refund in person. She's a grieving woman, alone, and deeply uncomfortable with strangers at the door. I had to fight to get them to agree to a bank transfer — something that should be standard in 2025.

Then we were promised the money would arrive by 1pm on May 13th. It never came. I called over 40 times in one afternoon, left messages, emailed — no response. They have completely ignored us. It’s disgraceful and deeply upsetting.

This company took advantage of someone vulnerable during one of the hardest moments in her life. I’ve reported them to Trading Standards and am now pursuing the matter legally and financially.

If you care about your family, especially elderly or vulnerable relatives — steer well clear. No company with a conscience would treat someone like this.
