Purchased a car from the folks at Sunrise Motors. The front sales experience was nice. No pressure etc. Test drove the car with no issues.
During purchase we asked the question, what if the car dies on the way home? The answer was we will help you all we can. Well, It died 1.5hrs into the drive home. Threw a code and went into limp mode. On Highway 80 this was not fun. Called the sales person and his first response was for me to get the car towed back to his shop on my dime and energy. If I owned this business I would have immediately contacted a towing company for this customer and got them a ride home. I looked under the hood and parts were disconnected under the beauty shield. Had to drive home 60 miles in limp mode. I then tried to get Sunrise Motors to help me but no luck. In the end it cost $200.00 at a dealer to reconnect parts and clear code. Sunrise Motors has not made any attempts to pay for this cost. Burned by the typical sales effort.
Be prepared if something happens. You will be on your own.

Sunrise cars were very accommodating when they opened on the weekend so I could view a Mitsubishi Delica D5 I had my eye on. Hassle free and Phil was friendly and helpful.

the story how my fiancee lost a part of his heart.
I had met my fiancee 2 years ago. During the first few months of me meeting my Fiancee, we had the absolute time of our lives. he and I are both adrenaline junkies so a V10 M5 BMW was our fix.
He purchased this beauty from Sunrise Motors. He had told me about the employees of this place before i unfortunately got to meet them. He told me how the owner SAM is a huge pothead and about his growing weed operation and how he brings customers for L-rides after their vehicle purchase. Sounds awesome and all, but its all just a cover up for the sh!tty heartless people that ran this joint.
My Fiancee got into an accident that almost totaled the M5 a few months after first picking it up. He had over $18,000 of work done to the car over a 3 mnth period. About 3 months after receiving the car back from the AUTO- BODY, I was driving on Rt 208 wit the car when it completely stopped in the middle of the highway. Completely stopped i could not even get over into the shoulder i was stuck in the dead middle of a major highway. I was lucky enough to be a Dispatcher for Triple A and know tow drivers that could help me out at that moment. After my fiancee looked over the car he concluded it was the sensor that corresponds with SMG clutch that had issues.
After concluding this, he called up Sunrise Motors to ask about the Warranty on the m5. PAT assured him that he was good to go as long as we brought it to a mechanic in Nutley NJ ( i cant remember the name of shop after i find the business card i will post it along with this review ) after towing the bmw to this shop the mechanic working assured us the car would be ready in 3-4 days. On the 4th day we showed up to get the car, this is when a worker there refused to release the car to us and he was only giving it back to Sunrise. Furiously we went to Sunrise and spoke with Pat for hours about this situation. He had told us since we were backed *** ONE *** Payment the bank was searching for the car and there was nothing he can do. this didnt make sense to me at first. PAT manipulated my fiancee and i to believe we were the ones who caused this and it was all our fault. At that point after days of fighting with Pat, Sam, and another European man ( either Polish, Macedonian, Albanian, etc..) working i cant remember his name, but was a total d ick and a snake)
We gave up. we felt there was nothing we could do.
8 months later I see the news article about the finance companies repo-ing the vehicles off of the premises. It broke my heart. We had a chance to get the car back. I spoke with a South Hackensack detective who was the head of the case against Sunrise and he had told me that if we notified the police at the time of this incident of them taking the car, they could have helped us get it back. After listening to the whole story, the same detective also had told me that the Mechanic shop technically STOLE the car and gave it to Sunrise Motors. Like i said if he had heard about this when it happened we could have gotten help.
After losing the car of our dreams over bulls hit that a fraud business caused us, my man was never the same he lost apart of him with that car. F uck Sunrise Motors. F UCK SAM. F UCK PAT.

The young customer service lady known as Juleisi help me with all the information i requested, gave me directions to the facility and followed up with me even after i bought the car.. Horrible experience! I bought a car from them one and a half months ago and paid $95 for letting them do the registration. Until now I still haven't got the plate. I tried to call them more than 10 times and they could never identify or solve the problem! Every time they told me that they were going to call me back, and they never did that. The so-called "manager" promised to call me back, then disappeared and I could never get back to him again. Instead, some random people started to promise on "working on this issue", but never got anything done. Desperately I went to the DMV myself, and was told that the information of my car is not in the database, meaning that Sunrise Motors never actually did the registration! Mr or Mrs manager of Sunrise Motors, if you see this message, please start to take responsibility and look into it! I am the man from New Haven, Connecticut and I bought the BMW X3 in March 30th. You can easily find my information. Please work on this!

Don't buy a car from these people!!!! We have had our car for alittle over 2 months and now have to spend $3000 to have the transmission replaced because apparently our car has a know defect that causes the radiator fluid to spill over and mix into the transmission. Of course the car was bought as is so we signed away our rights to the lemon laws in New Jersey so we're just stuck with a car we can't use until we can get $3000 together. Don't sell cars that have known defects!!!

HI My name is ayman i bought a 2009 BMW X6 Saturday something i really originally did come on ,was looking for bmw 650 6 series , But the Young lady Tara ext 117 customer service told me it was sold she had mention all the other cars inculding BMW X6 That i purchased love her customer service she was helpful answer all my questions , Even help me find my way to the dealership because i got lost, not only she was great over phone she welcomed me in felt like i knew her already , Very sweet young lady if i had a dealer she would be someone i would want to work with ... the finance guy PAT EXT 118 was great help me get the car with in not time all laughs made me feel very comfortable about my situation .. im so happy with my BMW 2009 X6 runs great thanks to the Wonderfull staff at sunrise motors may i not forget that even the new manger Keith came out & thanked me for my business with them before i drove out with my new car ....... will defintley be back

This was probably the worst experience ever . I wouldn't ever recommend this dealership to anyone especially if you're out of state.
I purchased a vehicle a little over 2 months making my second payment and only drove it for a month. Why ? Bc these people don't know how to register a car . I've been without a car for going onto 3weeks and what they try to sale me on was a extentions letter for my exp. Temp Plates in NY that doesn't go well ..So instead of dealing with getting pulled over and court bull I put my car to the side.. not the salesman who is clueless or the owner returned my 30 phone calls and 15msgs..all I was asking from them is to remburst me for the days I paided for a cab this wasn't my fault at all...unbelievable. ..I still have no plates and all of sudden now their missing paperwork or paperwork not correct (that's should've been done the moment I left the dealership not 2 months later) ...I'm still struggling to get in contact with the right person but apparently no one gives a F...still no plates , no feedback, not even a email.
Worst place to buy a car ...save your money and the headaches. .and fine a reliable place because this one isn't believe it.

Bear with me please, this is going to be a long one, but if you don't want to be cheated please read this.
March 26th I financed my first car, and they saw an inexperienced young woman. Immediately I was taken advantage of by a shark named Pat (finance dept). The car I was purchasing was advertised online at $8988 after signing all the paperwork the last thing they made me sign was the bill of sale where the selling price was listed as $9600. I get home go through my paperwork and realize this mistake.
Upon speaking to Pat I was told that the extra $612 dollars in the selling price was a fee the bank charged them for my loan since I had bad credit. I spoke with the bank and they said they don't charge extra fees so whatever is written in the contract is what it is.
I then read the contract word for word.. again and still found nothing stating about this extra fee. Pat had told me he cant break it out individually like the other fees that were listed, because it was illegal. Well if it was illegal then I shouldn't be charged for it period. That's their fee not mine. I pay the 16% interest for my bad credit.
Well the car they sold me had issues so they had me sign a we owe you kind of thing. They had the car for 2 weeks when i picked up the car from being serviced I spoke to Pat again. Where I recorded him with my voice recorder app. He told me the same thing as the first time.
When I told him what the bank said he told me that they aren't going to tell me about the "hidden" fee
As soon as I told Pat I was going to consult my lawyer he immediately became defensive. Screaming at me that he doesn't want any unhappy customers so come back Monday where I will be given my $4000 back.
Did that got my refund, gave them their car back. I spoke to the bank and the dealership about what I myself had to do to get the loan removed from my credit report.
I was told to do nothing the dealer ship would rewind the sale, and deal with the bank directly.
Fast forward to today and the bank is telling me that I owe $490 for non payment.
This is incredible, and if it doesn't get taken care of I'm going to end up suing Sunrise Motors Inc. because I refuse to pay for a car that I don't have.
BEWARE when dealing with Sunrise.
