Helpful communication

It was really helpful to have a conversation with Supercontrol- good to know that you can actually have a conversation with a real person!
I am experiencing issues with HRP and the only method of communication with this company is via email. It’s very frustrating when they don’t respond .

Well-designed system for self-catering businesses

SuperControl is well-designed for self-catering businesses. Much better than previous platform.
Good interface with Airbnb and Booking.com.
Strong support during onboarding and and regular seminars for existing users help to get the most out of the system. System support is also very good.
Integration with niche merchant provider (Holiday Rent Payments) for online card payments works satisfactorily, but could offer one of the major providers (e.g. Stripe) as an alternative.

My saviour.

Having been with Supercontrol for about 15 years. I have had a flawless time with them. I work alone, using Supercontrol allows me to do the work of many, efficiently. SC ticks all the boxes for me. Although a lot more expensive from joining up membership as an agent is worth every penny. Thank you Supercontrol.

Amazing Company and Product

Amazing product - UK based and really responsive - onboarding is simple and well supported(Phillippa is amazing), the support team are really responsive to any problems and the platform is
Constantly evolving.

Being with them has allowed me to increase my portfolio and manage everything through one platform rather than trying to juggle channels!

If you are UK based and want a PMS that’s good value, robust and works then look no further!

Fanstastic Supprt!

I had some questions about listing new properties and integration with the big online platforms and Nicola was absolutely terrific.

She was clearly an experienced user asked me a series of questions and helped me get on top of my query.

Deserves 10 starts not 5.

Terrible company

Terrible company, bureaucratic and rude, I have been with them 3 years and have put off moving to an alternative because it seemed too complicated once I had done all the setting up. I wouldn’t recommend them at all.

Incredibly unhelpful and rude help desk…

I rang Supercontrol’s helpdesk this morning as a result of a colleague being unable to print a report. Right from the start, the operator was extremely abrupt which immediately put me on the defensive. For example, she asked me for the account ID and as I very rarely use this office, I had no idea and I had to ask her where I might find out that information whereupon she told me to look at the top right of the screen, where the user ID is located. Why she just didn’t suggest I look there in the first place is an example of her frankly, bizarre telephone manner.

It really just sounded like she didn’t want to be there and had something else much more important to do and wanted to get rid of me as quickly as possible.

Without asking anything at all about my computer capabilities or indeed asking any further, sensible faultfinding questions relating to the environment, the office set up or indeed anything else at all she concluded “there is something wrong with your computer“. And that was about the sum total of the ‘Help’ offered.

This is almost certainly the worst helpdesk experience I have had in my life (and I’m 62 and have been using computers for the last 45 years).

Update 19Oct2023: I have been contacted by Supercontrol who responded to my original review in a thoughtful, thorough and satisfactory way (essentially reiterating their response to my review below). As a consequence I am changing the star rating to 3 by way of meeting them in the middle.

Martin, thank you for your review. Firstly, we must apologise for taking a long time to respond. We didn’t realise we were receiving reviews on this platform until a customer mentioned they had written a thank you note here. We have now ‘claimed our company profile’ so will be notified when reviews are posted.

We have traced the call and agree that we deserve your review. It’s so sad that one person’s behaviour can dampen the reputation of our whole support team who go about their work with grace, care and dedication. We’re a sombre team as I write this.

But we’re also very grateful because the individual now has absolute clarity about what’s expected, has been part of analysing the conversation word-by-word and has sprung into action to present their best version of themselves. Never has a bigger “Ah-ha” moment been experienced and the individual is now receiving notes of gratitude rather than 1-star reviews.

This situation has led us to implement a robust quality assurance process, specialist communications training and ramp up call handling mentoring for all members of the support team.

Bad Experience; Hidden Charges; Complicated

1. Hidden charges. They charge for everything and anything. Within a month of joining them, they've charged me 5 times. Even when I don't agree, they still go ahead and take money from my bank.

1.Properties not showing up in searches.

2. 1% charge on every booking even though properties not showing up. I normally get more bookings than this and wondering what was happening.

3. Automatic booking confirmation messages not working for Airbnb. So when your former guests who already have your contacts eventually book through Airbnb, be prepared to send out booking confirmation messages to them. So stressful.

4. Being asked to pay for messages.

5. Very difficult to set up overall.

6. It feels like different developers set the platform up.

7. Pricing set up is difficult.

These were my experience when I joined Supercontrol.
