I’ve been using Superprof for some time…
I’ve been using Superprof for some time now and overall it has been a very helpful platform for connecting students and tutors from different parts of the world. The interface is simple and it’s easy to find tutors in many subjects, which is a big advantage compared to many other tutoring platforms. I also like that tutors can clearly present their profiles, experience, and teaching style so students know what to expect.
One thing I appreciate is the variety of subjects and the international reach of the platform. It allows teachers and students to connect across countries, which creates many learning opportunities.
That said, I think the platform could improve in a few areas. Sometimes the subscription system and cancellation options are not very clear, and it would be helpful if Superprof made those processes more transparent and easier to manage. Better communication or clearer instructions about subscriptions would improve the user experience.
Overall, Superprof is a useful platform with great potential, and with a few improvements it could become even better for both tutors and students.

Very deceiving business model
Promises 1st hour free but when you try to write a tutor to even see if there is a good fit they force you to pay a $49/month subscription. Who needs a monthly subscription to check for one or two tutors? Plenty of better and more transparent tutor services out there. Hard pass!

Thanks for your feedback. The $49 Student Pass fee helps to ensure that only students who are serious about taking lessons and compensating their tutor(s) fairly for their time are reaching out to our teachers. The majority of our tutors offer their first lesson free which offsets this fee.
The Student Pass can be canceled at any time, for instance, once you've found the tutor(s) with whom you'd like to continue lessons.

As an instructor
As an instructor, superprof has increased my reach dramatically. They make it easy to get in touch with students and advertise my services. For instructors, it is free to use. The messaging feature is easy to use and I have text alerts set up so each time I get a message I get a text notification. The extra notifications help me make sure I never miss a message or forget to respond! Superprof has done a lot for me as a teacher and I would recommend to other independent teachers.
