While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Surfara is an online booking platform for surf lessons worldwide. Book with transparent information about group sizes, instructor certifications, equipment, and facilities—details you won't find on generic platforms. The problem: Booking a surf lesson takes 14 tabs, 6 DMs, and luck. Generic platforms charge 20-30% commission, forcing schools to only list expensive private lessons while affordable group classes disappear. Our solution: We charge 15% commission, not 20-30%. This means surf schools can list their €30 beginner group lessons alongside premium experiences. We show 19 surf-specific details before you book—group size, languages spoken, instructor certifications, board types, facilities, and more. Currently 75 surf schools across 23 destinations including Portugal, Costa Rica, Bali, Sri Lanka, and Morocco. Built by surfers, for surfers. Making the sport accessible to anyone through better information and fairer economics. Based in Utrecht, Netherlands. Founded in 2023.

Quite poor experience. We booked a surf session on Sunday evening for Monday morning 7 am. They confirmed the session on Monday morning at 6:45 am and they expect us to make it to the session. And all of this after multiple follow up on email for the whole night. I even dropped a mail at 6:15 am to check the status of my booking.
They mentioned in big letter on their website how they are better at Airbnb. I can say one thing for sure - not at customer support. Clearly !

Our surf coach in Bali recommended surfara for Sri Lanka. Liked the booking experience, wish I knew about this earlier tbh
Tip: check the group sizes before you pick. some schools do way smaller groups
