We sadly had to make the decision to decommission our Koi pond after 20 years . Doug done a wonderful job of rehoming our much loved Koi and scheduled the work. Russell & Craig were onsite for over 2 days and done an absolutely amazing job of draining the pond, removing all the surrounding rocks and concrete collar, then filling with 8 tonne of sub soil and 2 tonne of topsoil. Then finally turfing the area which looks fantastic. The guys were friendly, polite, professional and informative throughout. The areas where protected by boards and old liner etc were removed from site with everything left clean.

Craig and Robb expertly revived my three ponds. The fish were removed to a holding tank, while they thoroughly cleaned the ponds, stones, pumps and filters. The refilled ponds are now crystal clear and the fish are in their element.
My garden was left clean and tidy.

Doug, Craig and Russell were brilliant and fast – worked without stopping (even in rubbish weather on the second day). Cannot fault them and I now have a lovely little pond to take care of. Looking forward to seeing how the plants grow that Doug put in there for me.

Doug and his guy's arrived, worked and completed in almost constant rain. Work was completed on time and our garden was left cleared of all rubbish, a very good job. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

I was persuaded by the excellent reviews to approach the company to clean and overhaul my pond. What a pleasant experience. Doug was extremely helpful and sorted a date for the job. Craig and Robb, as well as being a lovely pair of lads, did a beautiful job restoring my pond and fitting a new filter, expensive but will be a big improvement. They were very clean and efficient workers and left my garden tidy and transformed. My ancient koi (one is fifty years old) are loving their new environment and were well looked after during the process of cleaning.

Doug’s responded to our enquiry very quickly and his very helpful team did a great job in giving our pond a full maintenance session including checking for leaks and re-siting the filter. They left the site clean and tidy and the pond is looking far healthier.

Excellent service from quotation through to completion.
I made my first enquiry on Monday and the job of complete maintenance and cleaning was completed by Wednesday evening.
The team found a very small leak as they were finishing off at the filter which developed into the need to replace connectors. I was most impressed with the team's determination to fix the problem there and then rather than leave it to another day.

My pond had been leaking and I decided to decommission it. Contacted Sussex Pond Doctor and Doug arranged it all. I was apprehensive as there were rocks and plants all around it but Craig and Russell soon made short work of that! My garden was a quagmire with all the rain we've had but they soldiered on and did a magnificent job - filling it in and turfing over. Two of the nicest workmen to have around - friendly, polite, non complaining, efficient and no trouble at all! Well done chaps!

Cannot fault Doug & his team in anyway. We had had another company in to start work on our overgrown pond and they caused carnage. We contacted Sussex Pond Doctor, who seeing the photos, took pity on us and managed to squeeze us in. They were clean, tidy, efficient, friendly and very knowledgeable. Two really great guys came yesterday to undertake a full maintenance of my wildlife pond.

I watched much of it fascinated to see how my pond had survived until now - and how it was emptied, cleaned and restocked so carefully. My frogspawn and frogs were carefully removed and held until the pond was refilled.

I had a few questions about caring for my pond which they were happy to answer.

Excellent service all round from Doug, Craig and Russell decommissioning my pond including removal and re-homing of the fish, removal of the pond and filling in the hole. Very impressed especially with difficult access through my garage and moving 6 tons of soil to fill the hole! We have used Sussex Pond Doctor before and they continue to provide a first class service helping us maintain our wildlife pond. Very polite and knowledgeable staff who have done a great job tidying and pruning the pond and margins. They have left everything tidied away and also given us lots of information about the wildlife in the pond and advice on how to look after it until their next visit.

The pond was in need of a good tidy up and clearance of overgrown plants. The lads arrived on time and did a great job, taking care not to disturb the moorhens and ducks that live on the pond. Would highly recommend!

Doug, Craig and Russell demolished and cleared a poorly constructed and leaking pond and built us a 12ft by 6ft work of art sleeper pond with lights, water fall and glass front. It is truly beautiful - a dream come true - and I am going to enjoy it for the rest of my retirement. Not only is the pond beautifully designed and constructed the whole experience was enhanced by their professionalism, thoughtfulness, and being so tidy!! They were always on time and despite the poor weather they completed on schedule and even put new lawn and pebbles around the pond. So lucky to have found them.

Doug and his assistance emptied our pond which had not been done in 10 years, transferred about 50 goldfish and 10 frogs to a holding pond , cleaned the pond and returned the fish and frogs . The whole job was done very well and I would certainly recommend the Pond Doctor.
