While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Sweeten took my money and wasted my time.

I applied to join Sweeten over four months ago, paid the required application fee, and submitted client references as requested. Since then, I’ve received little to no communication, despite multiple follow-up attempts. When I finally did receive a response—after questioning whether Sweeten truly supports minority, woman-owned businesses as they claim—I was simply told my application was still “under review.” That was months ago, and there has been no update since.

Sweeten took my money without providing any meaningful communication, clear timeline, or accountability. Even worse, they have refused to share the customer reviews submitted on my behalf—reviews that my clients took time to write to support my business. If they don’t intend to move forward, the least they could do is return those reviews and refund my fee.

This process has been incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. As a business owner who values integrity and transparency, I expected more from a platform that claims to champion diversity and small business. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution other contractors to think twice before applying to Sweeten.
